11.3 @ 133.78
Ran at the rock today, not what I was hoping for but an improvement in trap speed either way...
What HP would you say I'm making now? ;) CC |
Re: 11.3 @ 133.78
Yea that was a nice run, fastest at the track today! Car's looking good, get rid of that stock 1g intake mani. Good runs though.

Re: 11.3 @ 133.78
Chris, good numbers. Even if your cars full potential isn't being made, you still have one of the fastest DSM's on the board. That is something to be proud about. Any improvement is good improvement.
Did you have any issues at the track? Did everything stay solid? |
Re: 11.3 @ 133.78
I suppose this was done on a 14b turbo too

T25 actualy, remember it's a 2G ;) |
Re: 11.3 @ 133.78
Still wouldn't be the t25 record though. A guy ran a 11.149 on a T25 with a stock fuel system, computer, tranny, intercooler and ignition.

Re: 11.3 @ 133.78
Should be about 530 whp now and should be good for low 10's. Are you heading down to cedar falls on the 17th with us? Track prep should be pretty good down there and no worries about getting booted for running too fast either!

Re: 11.3 @ 133.78
here is a link to the dsmtuners timeslips. On the guys site he has a video I think. BTW, he has a 98 FWD.
It is the top of the page. http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/time...page=25&page=2 |

Re: 11.3 @ 133.78
I would think he is making more like high 500s. Mo was making 550whp in a full weight 1G when he went 130mph and Cher was making around 570 when he went 132mph. 3100lbs and 134mph works out to 582hp in the DSM.org trap speed method HP calculator. Which is usually extremely close to the numbers we got out of our dyno.

Re: 11.3 @ 133.78
Ok, nice numbers but i am just curious to know if its an FWD or AWD.

Re: 11.3 @ 133.78
V8killa= AWD, T25 guy=FWD

Re: 11.3 @ 133.78
10.3 at only 133 would a bit tough in a 5-speed.
|
Re: 11.3 @ 133.78
Yeah, low 10s would probably be at about very high 130s.

Put some slicks on and get a better 60', then it should be possible. |
Re: 11.3 @ 133.78
get that 60' down, I'd also guess 550-580whp.

Re: 11.3 @ 133.78
Or maybe something went wrong on the topend like my 10.4@130. All of the old times on the un-updated DSMTimes list in the 10.0-10.4 range are in the 136-146mph range except for my fuckup. As for newer times, Harold just went 10.1@138, but that was with 1.43 60'. Nate of DSMMotorsport went 10.2@143. John Wigger 10.0@140 and that was even an auto. Curt Brown 10.3@139 with 1.51 60' in his Evo.
So I wouldn't put too much hope in running a low 10 at 133mph. A 10 is definately possible at his power, but to pull a second of his current time with just a good 60' is asking a bit much. |
Re: 11.3 @ 133.78
Chris, what was the rest of the slip like?
|
Re: 11.3 @ 133.78
Wow, lots of replies in such a short time lol.
Contrary to popular belief the 60' wasn't absolutely horrible, here is the time slip from what I remember: 60' ~ 1.77 8th ~ ??? @ 103.xx 1/4 ~ 11.312 @ 133.78 The problem that occurred on this run was my own damn fault, I lifted off the gas after first and in turn bogged the 1-2 shift. Probably would have been a 10 second pass had I hit that shift well. As far as the other runs go there was a definate problem once I got into fourth, the car felt as if it was holding back. I don't really know how to explain it, it felt kind of like it was sputtering but there were no misfires in the ignition and the dsmlink map looks pretty normal? Anyways, the car has a lot more in it, and we'll see about the 17th... If we can figure out the issues and they really don't care about cages then I'm definateyl down! And yes, the car held up great absolutely no breakage to this point :) |
Re: 11.3 @ 133.78
I THINK on that last run kevin leaned it out just a LITTLE bit..I don't think that would do that though to your run. I thought you had a tough time liftingthe throttle, and wanted a switch put in for on and off? ;-)

Is your car red? http://tcstangs.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22611 If it is, someone's talking about you.
