So for those that don't know, I was using a saturn as my DD to get to and from school. I came outside this morning to find the rear windshield one of the tail lights smashed. Worst part is that whoever did it hit the rear driver side tail light, hit the fender too. Since it was 25* and saturns are plastic, it kinda shattered. My father called the cops and the guy that answered said "yeah, that sucks. How much do you think it'll be to fix?" They never came out or anything. Cops are cool.--------

This happens the day after we droped the insurance.

I don't think cops realy care about personal damage much anymore. My boss's daughter had 2 tires slashed and sugar poured into the gas tank of her car. Even after the girl admitted it, the cops still didn't do anything.

yeah. i was at school once, and my car got broken into at 4 pm on a sunday. those inconsiderate bastards! broken driver door window, stolen cd's cd player and a couple screw drivers i got for x-mas.

I think getting presents stolen is worse than something you purchased. Hopefully you are able to get things sorted out, Reid. Let me know if you want help with anything....locating parts, installing parts, giving an old fashioned beatdown, etc.

Just a wierd story to tell u, one day i was in my basement sleeping when my brother called me upstairs and said there was an Asian dude outside who wanted to talk to me - so i get my clothes on and go up there - the little asian dude was gone - nowhere to be found - i looked outside, up the street and no one was there - then i thought to myself - maybe he's hiding and waiting for me to leave to jack the dsm - at the time it was winter and i wasn't driving it - me and my brother checked everywhere in the garage and even inside to make sure this little dude wasn't in my house trying to jack my car. Found nothing and still have my car - i was just kinda freaked out, don't ask why but it was strange that the dude asked for me and then vanished - and my bro swears he talked to him and stuff. wierd stuff.

I came home from school and found that my father had pulled the C-pillar back into shape and replaced the tail light. I got two qoutes on a rear winshield, $723 and $690, so a trash bag is looking real good.

I just roxored www.car-part.com and found the rear glass going from $50 to $150 (John's has it for $100).

Glass was installed. My father talked them down to $575 and I talked them down to free. Free glass is good. The metal spike that was in the pontiac's tire yesterday, was not good.

I ran it over and it was put there. It was like small bar stock that was shapened and both ends and bent so that it would stand up with a point up no matter how it landed.

So what that means to me is that, if you find the person, and beat them into a bloody pulp then the cops shouldnt care either. but of course this is not the case, but it just sucks that cops essentially arent doing their job to the fullest like they should be doing.

Cops do have much more important things to worry about, however there are a lot of cops that do not use their time constructively. Traffic tickets are necessary and the cop is TOLD to do that by their boss. They do not have a choice in this matter. Hey, if you want to pay more taxes to fund more po pos saleries.. maybe your problem will be solved.

Or you could think that you shouldnt have dropped the insurance. Im pretty sure thats against the law? You could just get cited for that. that ticked would cost about half of what your windshield did.

On another note, it really sucks that some punk ass kid broke into your shit. The physical damage they did was quite unessecary. They could have at least just broke the door window and let themself in and not fucked with anything else. Or they could just grow up and get jobs.. People are too fucking inconsiderate these days to care about the fact that your down like a grand because they were broke / poor.

I don't think they stole anything, just damaged a lot of properly. So my guess is that someone either A: hates Reid's family or B: is extremely bored...probably a combination of A and B. Time to run a stake-out in your blvd. bushes/trees..

No....no not in P-Town they don't.The Russians have immunity and the cops are afraid to touch the blacks so that leaves us white people to be picked on (me getting written up for no front license plate when a drug deal in plain view was going down less than a block away). Hehe, remember when that bitch cop came when we were lighting off fireworks in your frontyard? Fireworks laying all over the place and we were just denying everything :) I know a bunch of you on this board were there, I think 4th of July two summers ago. Ahh yes, the joys of P-Town and NH cops....I think we need more speed run records to be set this summer.

What the fuck are you talking about? My car was parked for one night without insurance and I should be ok with being out a grand? Cops arn't actually needed. If you have a real problem you call a friend/person next door, or you call the fire department. Driving ten over the "limit" isn't a crime, breaking some ones shit is. They could pretend to care. If they don't take it seriously, no way I'm going to.

Since when is it against the law to have the car PARKED in your own driveway w/o insurance. Reid isn't on here to get pitty, nor does he want the opposite from anyone. What exactly could he be cited for? "Illegal parking of one's own car in one's own driveway thereby making it more susceptable to random crime" - MN Statue 45.871?
