My favorite by far still is Mabes Pizza Regular Style from Decorah IA.

(possibility of this also being at the dyno fest ;))

Gino's East and Pizzeria UNO (both of Chicago) have to be among the best. As far as MN pizza goes, Frankies and Dimagios (Steve's Special of course; peperoni, sausage, and sour cream).

I havent been to too many Pizza specific restaurants, mainly because my gf doesnt like pizza as much as other foods. But out of the major brands- Papa Johns with garlic sauce, or Papa Murphy's chicken garlic mmmmmm.

Cosetta has awesome Pizza, and italian food in general. You know... across from the exel center in St Paul

The spicy italian from Papa John's is awesome for a regular old pizza place. The best I had was in NYC, can't think of the name of the place though.

Nick's Pizza in Owatonna. Never had anything bad there.

Up here I have to go with the house special from Hearthside Pizza in St. Paul.

Care for a side of pizza with your grease?? Taste of the Big Apple in Albert Lea owns Nicks! I forgot about that place, it rocks! The one in Owatonna isn't as good.

CPK, if I'm in the mood for a yuppie pizza. Otherwise I like Mama's in St. Paul. Can't go wrong (usually) with Davanni's. Last weekend I ordered from Lake Harriet Pizza, because we wanted something other than generic delivery. It was pretty good too.

Never heard of CPK, but Pizza Luce is also a good "young urban professional" pizza.

California Pizza Kitchen. I just didn't feel like typing it out earlier. :D I've never tried Pizza Luce, but I've always wanted to. There's one a few miles from my house.

I've heard good things about CPK, there is one in Maple Grove that I'd like to try sometime. If you're in the mood for something interesting at PL, try their steak and potato pizza.

CPK Sicilian Rocks! And they now carry it at Target as well. It is pretty damn good!

Red's "Savoy Inn" on 7th & Hwy 52.

Just a Dumpy little bar with the best pizza in the cities, period!

Pounds of cheese, mega toppings, spicey sauce on a super thin crispy crust!

Old style "REAL" pizza, made here in St.Paul for over 60 years!

If you haven't tried Savoy "Za" yet, your missing out on the very BEST!

2nd Place, Pizza Factory in SSP.

Best pizza is ....the place I ate w/ Shane, Mara, and Mo in Chicago. The nice deeeeeep dish pizza. It's all about the dish ;) . I think it's Giordanos-great stuffed ass pizza.

Broadway Pizza's deep dish is also really good.

I have to agree with AJ on this, Mabes Pizza is really good. Cambridge Station up in Cambridge has some good pizza too.

Howie, you nailed this one man. I have been known to frequent the Savoy. I love walking in on a Sat. night and the place is fucking packed. Standing room only in that place. But, its always worth the wait.

Mama's is choice. Also a lil place called DeGidio's on W. 7th is fucking DOPE.

Street pizza is pretty good, you have to really make sure you clean all the crusty stuff off and watch for bones but otherwise if it's fresh you just can't beat it :D

Second Choice would be the bowling alley in Monticello's lemon pepper chicken pizza. Pretty good stuff.

I throw in another vote for the Savoy in St Paul.Rocky Roccoco's(if they're still around) and Demori's in Cottage Grove are fucking great as well

Good stuff...especially with the ranch sauce. MmMmMmM.....I could go for some right now.

You guys are naming all these pizza places that I've never even heard of or knew even existed.......I need to try those sometime. :)

Oh yeah, the garlic chicken pizza from that place where you take it home and bake it yourself(Papa Murphy's?) is really good too.

Bah, ended up going there with one of my roommates and got a sausage 3-cheese stuffed crust pizza and it wasn't all that great. I'm definitely making a trip to D-Club (Dimaggio's in Rogers) as soon as I'm back from D-Town (mid-May), anyone want to make an event out of it?

Deep Dish from "Green Mill" My first fav off the top of my head.
But I like "Rocky Rococo" also.

I must say, I was not fond of how Green Mill put the sauce on top of the cheese. Green Mill is good stuff though, Old Chicago does beat it out though, IMO (I view them as direct competitors since they are across the street from one-another here in Duluth).

If I am at home, I love domino's. If I am out for pizza, broadway, by a long shot! But, everyone is forgetting great plains, in ames, IA. That pizza is sooo good..choice of wheat crust, and they give you honey for it too!

Checkerboard Pizza, right off University and Maryland. Good Pizza makin there. I ate there most of my pizza times. Some ricers work there too, so its cool chattin about cars and eating pizza at the same time.;)

Savoy's Rulez....
 

Who's was at the top of the list don't surprise me at all as I've been going there for 25+ years now!
