What's Your favorite Pizza!
Yeah, a general wtf topic from me again.
My favorite by far still is Mabes Pizza Regular Style from Decorah IA. (possibility of this also being at the dyno fest ;)) What's everyone favorite. |
Re: What's Your favorite Pizza!
Gino's East and Pizzeria UNO (both of Chicago) have to be among the best. As far as MN pizza goes, Frankies and Dimagios (Steve's Special of course; peperoni, sausage, and sour cream).

Re: What's Your favorite Pizza!
I just settle for whatever's cheap, and with pepperoni.
|
Re: What's Your favorite Pizza!
Anyone ever have Pizza Factory? It's Probably my second favorite..
|
Re: What's Your favorite Pizza!
I havent been to too many Pizza specific restaurants, mainly because my gf doesnt like pizza as much as other foods. But out of the major brands- Papa Johns with garlic sauce, or Papa Murphy's chicken garlic mmmmmm.

Re: What's Your favorite Pizza!
Cosetta has awesome Pizza, and italian food in general. You know... across from the exel center in St Paul
|
Re: What's Your favorite Pizza!
I'll probably be ordering a buffalo chicken pizza from Pizza Hut for dinner tonight :)
|
Re: What's Your favorite Pizza!
The spicy italian from Papa John's is awesome for a regular old pizza place. The best I had was in NYC, can't think of the name of the place though.

Care for a side of pizza with your grease?? Taste of the Big Apple in Albert Lea owns Nicks! I forgot about that place, it rocks! The one in Owatonna isn't as good. |
Re: What's Your favorite Pizza!
CPK, if I'm in the mood for a yuppie pizza. Otherwise I like Mama's in St. Paul. Can't go wrong (usually) with Davanni's. Last weekend I ordered from Lake Harriet Pizza, because we wanted something other than generic delivery. It was pretty good too.

Lake Harriet Pizza off 50th St. in S. Minneapolis
or Beek's Pizza off Minnetonka Blvd in St. Luis Park |
Re: What's Your favorite Pizza!
CPK Sicilian Rocks! And they now carry it at Target as well. It is pretty damn good!

Re: What's Your favorite Pizza!
Red's "Savoy Inn" on 7th & Hwy 52.
Just a Dumpy little bar with the best pizza in the cities, period! Pounds of cheese, mega toppings, spicey sauce on a super thin crispy crust! Old style "REAL" pizza, made here in St.Paul for over 60 years! If you haven't tried Savoy "Za" yet, your missing out on the very BEST! 2nd Place, Pizza Factory in SSP. IMHO.....Howie |
Re: What's Your favorite Pizza!
Best pizza is ....the place I ate w/ Shane, Mara, and Mo in Chicago. The nice deeeeeep dish pizza. It's all about the dish ;) . I think it's Giordanos-great stuffed ass pizza.
Broadway Pizza's deep dish is also really good. |
Re: What's Your favorite Pizza!
I have to agree with AJ on this, Mabes Pizza is really good. Cambridge Station up in Cambridge has some good pizza too.

Re: What's Your favorite Pizza!
Broadway Pizza, or Uno's in Chicago
|
Re: What's Your favorite Pizza!
I love Mabe's... I think that would be number 1. Then it would be CPK or Mama's.
|
Re: What's Your favorite Pizza!
Street pizza is pretty good, you have to really make sure you clean all the crusty stuff off and watch for bones but otherwise if it's fresh you just can't beat it :D
Second Choice would be the bowling alley in Monticello's lemon pepper chicken pizza. Pretty good stuff. |
Re: What's Your favorite Pizza!
I throw in another vote for the Savoy in St Paul.Rocky Roccoco's(if they're still around) and Demori's in Cottage Grove are fucking great as well

Oh yeah, the garlic chicken pizza from that place where you take it home and bake it yourself(Papa Murphy's?) is really good too.

If I am at home, I love domino's. If I am out for pizza, broadway, by a long shot! But, everyone is forgetting great plains, in ames, IA. That pizza is sooo good..choice of wheat crust, and they give you honey for it too!

Savoy's Rulez....
Who's was at the top of the list don't surprise me at all as I've been going there for 25+ years now!
Guess I'm not alone knowing it's "Simply the BEST!" http://twincities.citysearch.com/bes.../39/?brand=msn "Citysearch Editorial Review -- By Annamarie Cumpston Some claim that this St. Paul dive has the best pizza in town. Editorial Rating: Highly Recommended The Scene As you walk in and your eyes adjust to the low, low lighting, you're greeted by a mural of a lusty Italian woman holding a pizza against the watery backdrop of Venice. Seat yourself at a burgundy pleather booth or Formica table; if you want to converse over the meal, sit strategically to block your companion's view of the big-screen TV. The Food You've got to order the pizza, since it has a rep around town--you'll find that the crust is thin and crispy with typical toppings to choose from. The most popular is the Savoy Special: sliver-cut onions, zesty pepperoni and sausage, green olives, mushrooms and sweetish green pepper. The menu also includes roasted chicken, pasta, salads, sandwiches and American fare. " You gotta check it out yourself! Gonna try some of the boards other suggestions as well, a change of pace is fun! Thx.... Howie |
