RF Sport Compact Day, Sunday April 10th
 

Anyone going? I was going to go on the 9th as it is a Test and Tune, but since the Talon isn't done I don't feel like paying 70 dollars to run a stock Galant.

I definately will be there on Sport Compact day to see if I can get the Galant into the 14's, w00t!

I'll be there also, but I wont be racing my car. I'm getting a new clutch kit and tranny, so I'll have to break it in. And I probably wont run my car until I have some more parts installed. But I'll be there to watch for any quick cars. They upped the price this year if no one has heard. It'll be $37 to race this year. Prices are going up all over!

Damn, I'm so excited to race this year I'd almost think of attending one of RF's "Sport Compact Days". Thankfully my car is months away from completion. :-)

If carl doesn't have an extra seat (would be eaiset since we live close) I coudl probably meet you somewhere Matt if you still had room. Driving the 1.8 there just doesn't make sense. lol

I might head down there and watch. My car could probably race, but with just putting the head and shit back on I am not going to push it for awhile until I know everything is good to go. Someone could ride with me if I go. Except for AJ, he says some stupid shit and I don't know if I can take a hour car ride with him.

I just got back from there a couple of hours ago. It wasnt all that great. But they had a lot of quicker cars this year...and stil those slow cars. I dont even know why you would want to run if you're going to get 15.5's or slower. Its such a waste of money and time...haha. My cousin only got a 11.7 in his all drag civic....kinda sad, heh heh. And Shane's car is fricken quick...too bad he had a couple bad runs.

Did anyone see a Black Cavalier that was riced out with Motegi mr7s and a bodykit on it that was green? My girlfriends sisters new boyfriend drives that. It has cool dual exhaust and all. Everytime he drives up to her house I laugh... oh well. But I think he was going to go and run some 16s lol. He hasnt seen my car yet... as it was down for the winter. I bet he will want to race, then I will just laugh some more...

I got a few vids on my digital cam, they didn't turn out that well and I will wait to see if the people they involve don't mind me posting them. All in all I decent day, the rain that many feared stayed away all day. I busted out a best of 15.7 in the Galant, due to some knock and stutterbox issues. Carl blew a intercooler pipe off and still ran faster than most of the Hondas, and also his first run was fuckin awesome.

Really makes me want to get the Talon out there and bust out some low 12's.

And yes, there were shit tons of cars running in the 16 second and slower bracket, that was great fun. I think the bracket of sub 12 second cars was only 2 people, and one was a bike. Then 12 to 13 was about 10 cars.

I ran a 12.988 @110 on pump gas!!! I put in the race gas and cranked up the boost and blew off my Maft couplers running 15.5's beating most of the honda's there. post up the video's I don't care if there crappy.

Yeah, Carl's first run was awesome. I dont quite remember what Shane ran, if I'm thinking right...he ran a high 11 or somewhere in that range. His second gear just pulled mad, it looked so awesome. I heard everyone go "Ohhhhhhhhhhhh, damn!" when he took off and finished. Kinda funny, he still hit 13.00 even though he stalled for a bit trying to get into gear. Oh, there was this black Neon (non-srt) that ran 13.00...I was amazed.
Alpine, was that you in the white Galant?
I got quite a bit of the DSMs runs...I'll see if I can get it edited and then I'll put it on here....somehow.....
