MINNESOTA’S LARGEST CHARITY CAR SHOW WILL RELOCATE TO SAINT PAUL’S MIDWAY STADIUM

The Third Annual Mods and Rods Charity Car Show will be held August 13, 2005.

Mods and Rods is an ALL-inclusive auto show that encourages members of the auto enthusiast community to enter their vehicle in a competition for over 30 trophies.

The Mods and Rods Charity Car Show has grown considerably since its inception in 2003 to become one of the state’s most anticipated events. In spite of inclement weather last year, the show managed to attract over 175 vehicles and 1,500 people to its host for past two years—the Ellingson Car Museum in Rogers, Minnesota. The change of venue this year adds a new dimension to the Mods and Rods legacy. By relocating to Saint Paul, Mods and Rods centers itself in the heart of the automotive hobby surrounding the Twin Cities.

The Third Annual Mods and Rods Charity Car Show will be at Midway Stadium, 1771 Energy Park Drive, St. Paul, Minnesota from 11:00am to 4:00pm Saturday, August 13th.

oBTW....

I was apart of this show last year as a judge and i had a great time. Its a fun show and they usually have some great prizes.

It's the only weekend we could secure our new Midway location. I know there are a few conflicts, but we had to pick one weekend...

Yeah, not many of the fast DSM's will be able to go since we will be in Ohio. Some of the "show" cars might go, but we don't have many on this site.

I might've considered going if I had heard about this show from someone that actually contributes to the site rather than signing up to post their event.

Sorry....Just ranting again. I'll probably be up doing checkout for Ojibwe anyways.

If you base your decision on whether or not to go to a car show upon whether or not the person you heard it from has posted on your site before, that's kinda silly don't you think? Do you interview everyone that gives you a car show flyer? :D

I would post more often I guess but I have been just a lurker and my account got deleted since I hadn't POSTED in a while. I also don't own a DSM. But I have been on this site for over a year.

I'm very much active in ALL aspects of cars in the Twin Cities, and yes, I own an '04 Mystichrome Cobra as one of my cars. If you see me sometime, say hi, I don't bite.

I don't have a problem with someone that I don't know who tells me about a show. What I had a problem with is your post count is only those posts in this thread.

I realize you have been here before, but everytime I see your name it's because you're selling something or promoting something. It's not a big deal. I just figure if you're going to post up here it might as well be worthwhile to you and the site, not just you.

It would be like me going on to TCStangs only to post up info about a rallycross.

Just to let you know there are people on here that are part of the show.

I for one was one of the domestics judges last year.
Also curt gendron, mn 3000 club was the immports judge.

I do know that there are people from this site that are a part of the show. You contribute a hell of alot more to this site than Dan does. He has just gone on a posting spree around the local websites. I would've rather seen someone like you or Curt post this rather than someone getting there post count from one thread, never to be seen again until he has something else to sell or promote.

Like I said, I will probably be busy checking out roads for Ojibwe anyway.

MatchBx - it's all good man. I've posted this on over 100 forums, so don't think it's just this board I'm spamming. I just thought I'd let you guys know about the show. And if I had to get in touch with every single administrator on every single forum, it'd take forever. I dunno, I'm not taking anything personally, but I am in charge of promotions. Obviously you have a wide base of DSM people that visit this site, so am I supposed to log onto all 100 forums throughout the year and post useless crap so my post count is more than one? It's not about inviting friends or only one board, I have to announce it to the general public and this is one of my best methods.

Would you rather I mailed you a flyer or won't that work since I don't hang out at your mailbox?? :) :) :)

There are others on here who do not work for them, who have something to do with the show... We have been a sponsor of the last two Mods and Rods shows. Because of the shootout... we will have to see this year...
