Bullseye Turbos
After I initially posted up asking for people's opinions on the Bullseye TO4B and hearing numerous opinions downplaying the turbo, I've been rather skeptical of all the hipe about Bullseye's products. Now I see on Tuners that the one and only Ecoli adds some nice ownage in a Bullseye thread: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/show...7&page=1&pp=25 (see post # 44). I've also been enjoying reading the opinions of Bullseye by people on NABR. Has anyone ever worked directly with Bullseye on anything? Is all this excitement about their products truly a joke?

Re: Bullseye Turbos
Bullseye is Dave Hall, that should be enough to stop anyone from buying thier shit right there.
|
Re: Bullseye Turbos
Wow that thread is getting entertaining. Shane + Hal + FP versus Brainwasheeee's.....Enough said.
|
Re: Bullseye Turbos
Maybe that should be their marketing slogan? "All the power of an EVO III 16G, but with the lag of a T3/T4"
That was awsome LOL |
Re: Bullseye Turbos
Wow, some people just don't undestand... I pulled 320hp with a shot motor and way too much knock, it will be fun to see what I can do this year with a built motor and hopefully some more time to tune, then I will rub it in that peckerheads face.

Re: Bullseye Turbos
With what turbo?
|
Re: Bullseye Turbos
EVO3 16G. Suppose I should have mentioned that.
|
Re: Bullseye Turbos
LOL!! That turbo looks just about an inch bigger than my 14b :). Thats just sad that it made 282. I mean for crying out loud there are 14b's putting down 300whp out there... whats the deal? *cough cough gay turbo..*

Re: Bullseye Turbos
What's so sad about the whole situation is that people like me fall all over a turbo like that. If I hadn't have asked ya'll around here about it a while back or read NABR I would be totally oblivious to how shitty it is unless I decided to learn how to read compressor maps.

Re: Bullseye Turbos
I'm sorry but who want's to spend what $600 shipped on a POS that makes 280whp@19psi? He claim's it to be a better route than the evo III 16g? Then he went as far to claim his turbo's are a better route then the 20g also. Is this guy a morron or what? I wouldn't pay $600 for a POS when my 14b can make 300whp and its "easy intallation" too!!! damn thats awsome!!

Re: Bullseye Turbos
I have worked with bullseye and you will never hear me say anything bad. They have treated me right. I have had my HX35 (on my 2G) with their turbine housing on it for over a year now and l have one of their watercooled Vtrims on my 1G. I love it. I have had a PTE turbo before and can tell you that the wastegate assembly on the BEP is a much better design and built product. The Vtrim has been proven to make 400whp without much problem. The same can be said for the EVO3, but it is maxed out at that point and can't go much further. It takes time for that maximun potential to be had from a turbo. How long did it take 20's to make it to the 11's and then 10's? Years. The same can be said for the 50 trim. It did not make 500 whp on the first car it was put on.
I purchased the turbo and will continue to support the shops that have great customer service and are willing to work with me on my goals. Not like some other shops that I have tried to deal with that "TOLD" me what I wanted. I say away from those. If you do not want to deal with a certain shop that is fine, you don't have to. But when threads that have "good" information in them becomes cluttered with junk I just gets to me. Sorry for the long raving, but I felt I needed to give my $.02. Later |

The problem there is that a shop that knows what they are doing should tell you waht you want in some way. Look at the amount of setups places like Elite have had to deal with. Dyno results to go through and prior customer that have changed from setup to setup because one worked better than the next. So you want to spend money on a turbo. Awesome, it's your choice in the end. But I'd rather have a shop be open and tell me that the turbo I am buying is a big pile of steaming shit opposed to sitting back make the $50 markup on the turbo and call it a day. |

I'm going to have to go ahead and Challenge your bull's shit turbo to a race. mark my word's!! Kevin |
Re: Bullseye Turbos
I had a shop (which I won't say, but it is a well know turbo shop) tell me that I needed a 20G turbo. When I was looking at the next step up that seemed to be the hot ticket at the time and the reason he gave me that I needed a 20G was because I did not go to the track. I would run race gas on the street, but never went to the track. That was it. That was their reason!! They would not sell me the turbo I wanted. I did hear a rumor through the grape vine (I know.. take it will grain a salt) that they were having problems getting parts for their hot turbo and that was why they were pushing the 20G's. I don't know if it was true, but it sure would make sense.
I have known that Dave worked at extreme turbo at one point in time. I asked him about his history. He never lied to me or tried to "Con" me as it was stated in the thread. He listened to my goals, gave some options and we found a turbo that worked for me. That is how I got the HX35 on my car. It was something new that no one had tried and now look it seems to be the next hot ticket. I ran a 7.63 in the 1/8 with it. |

Re: Bullseye Turbos
Ok What track is between IA and WY? I get to choose which car I can bring?
What will you be running?? That 14B in your profile or something alittle bit bigger? |
Re: Bullseye Turbos
Bleh, not another challenge thread... How bout I call up the guy who bought my car to come run your car there in IA? I know he bought the car for street racing, but I'm sure he'd run it on the track if it involves money.
|
Re: Bullseye Turbos
Where is he located at? I am have been having a hard time finding people that are truely hardcore here in central Iowa. I would be nice to race and compare what we have done to our cars.
|
Re: Bullseye Turbos
He's in Indiana, 45 minutes east of Chicago and probably won't drive far to race unless it's for a couple thousand dollars.
|
Re: Bullseye Turbos
The H3 and V-trim can make good power. But so can anything. The dyno charts I have seen from thier turbos are a bit dissappointing though. Medicore power but with considerable lag, I have seen other T3/T4 hybrids reach 28+psi around the same RPM point people are getting 20psi with these turbos. Now I know why I stay off DSMTuners after looking at some of the threads, the tracks will be filled with V-trim turboed, Johnny Racecar FMIC DSMs running low 14s this year.
If people want to deal with a shop run by a guy that has conned, scammed and defrauded other vendors and customers in the past under multiple different business names, then I guess that is their business. |
Re: Bullseye Turbos
Oh that is aways!! I might try to make a race a Joliet this year. It depends on if I can keep the tranny together.

Also how do you know that there will be all these low 14s cars? You just said that these turbos can make good power. If they make good power then they should be able to run better then that right? Also I am curious as to what you mean about the scamming and defrauding? If you are just talking about the 360 degree thrust I agree with you. If they said it would have it then it should have it. If you have more specifices PM me them, because I would like to know and do not want to junk up this thread with that type of talk. |

Where are you at in Central Iowa? I am in Ames and from what I can recall, there are at least a couple decently powered DSMs around the Des Moines area. Do you frequent dragsource.com? Are you affiliated with this website which just so happens to be basically a copy of the Bullseye page? http://www.theturbotrader.com/ |

[QUOTE=ipt]....Also I am curious as to what you mean about the scamming and defrauding? ...QUOTE]
I for one was also 100% oblivious to the scamming and defrauding of Dave Hall till I did some further research. Ask around with some of the truly senior DSM'ers and I'm sure you will hear your fair share of an earfull. |
Re: Bullseye Turbos
I am TTT over there. It makes sense for the turbo trader doesn't it? I purchase the turbine housings from BEP. The turbos I source from a Garrett Master Distributer for the area. I can get them cheaper this way then from BEP.
I live 35 minutes south of Des Moines. |
Re: Bullseye Turbos
hummm, so now this thread is more that enough reason to ban your ass?
http://www.dsmstyle.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6159 Nice find Jakey |
Re: Bullseye Turbos
I guess you are right. I did not read the rules of this board and am sorry.
|
Re: Bullseye Turbos
That's bullshit, you knew what you where doing cuse I tried for a while to find out who the owner was of the site when you posted that up for this reason. I'm just glad we have the internet freak machine in Jakey to bust the case open. Now I just gotta figure out what should happen. I'm gonna go smoke and think.
|
Re: Bullseye Turbos
So your shop is TTT? I like how you say in that intake thread to some guy that asks about his S10 and you tell him to email them.... you mean email you. Yea allan he knew what he was doing. Time for a perma-ban.
|
Re: Bullseye Turbos
I have talked with him about it, edited the other thread and he did say he would like to stay around and contribute. I have decied on a 2 week ban (pretty standard lately) and see what happens down the road. Just no more pushing of any products unless the member is a sponsor of the site. Rules are rules.
And I'm gonna close this up as it went to the wayside. I don't think we need to get into the turbos anymore either. |
