I like the styling... More of a 2G feel. Better than my Grand Am wanna be.

The price I hear is supposed to be the same as mine, so that burns my cookies a little bit.

For a car to compete with the Honda Accord EXV6 and the Toyota Camry Solara, good

For a car that ALSO has to compete with the Nissan 350Z, Mazda RX-8, and the Ford Mustang... not even close.

This is probably one of the ugliest next to the 3g. At least you can dish it, but Dish on a FWD = Ghey.

I like the new Eclipse and I hardly ever like the styling on new cars. I too wish it had a little more horsepower and AWD. But considering how nuts car manufactures are getting these days, maybe in the years to come they'll bump up the horsepower and give it some AWD traction.

Its a mix between a '95 Dodge Stealth and a newer Audi TT with Cavalier headlights. That interior is hideous too, I can see it driving anyone nuts within 10 minutes.

I'm diggin the side view, but that's about it. It seems to be a nice car for the 'average' car consumer, however anyone that wants a REAL sports car will probably be horribly disapointed by Mitsu's drastic overhyping of this car.

2 Door Sports cars from $25,000-$30,000, Around 250-300 hp, offering similar powertrain. V6/V8/Rotary whatever...

It's OK. I can see more of the 2g meets an Audi TT look in it. Nothing great though.

If Mitsu ever grows some balls and put the EVOVIII driveline in it, that would be awesome. It looks like there is plenty of room up front for a big ol' intercooler.

I agree. But the whole car looks too much like the Audi TT, they should change the style a bit when it comes out into the streets. Love how powerful it's going to be too. You guys know if they'll bring it to the Minneapolis Convention Center, or something like that, when the "car show" comes by?

Well I looked at the Videos, and I think if that design stays around enough for me to get financially stable, I'll definately look at one... 650 Watt Stereo is a lot.

I think the Eclipse has become a niche car, and I wouldn't be suprised to see it on it's way out sooner than later...

Good. I bet you all shit your pants in 1999 when the SST concept came out, and they released the 2000 Eclipse GT. I love my car, and I'd say 99% of the population thinks it's a great looking car. Now you're all shitting your pants again. I think the car looks great. I think it's a sign of things to come.

hey, you guys know what the specs are for the 2006 Eclipse? I've been trying to find it around the net, including Google, but haven't found what the specs are in the 06 Eclipse. You guys also know when its coming to the Mitsu Dealerships here? I graduate in 2006, so...if I get one, I'll be one happy dude! peace!

GT V6- 3.8L SOHC V6 with MIVEC (Vtec). 260hp, 260ft/lbs torque. FWD. Optional equipment includes interior shown on orange car, and a 600 some odd watt Rockford Fosgate Stereo with 10" sub. About 25,000 dollars.

I have a 3g. Don't buy this car. Save your hard earned money, and find yourself a used Evo. Or put a fatty down payment on the Evo IX. They look great, and they come with about 300hp...

The only thing better about the 4g than the 3g is the horsepower. But it's still wrong wheel drive.

"I" like "MY" 3g. I like the 4g. In "HIS" situation, and if "I" was in "THAT" situation, I would do differently. If I could go back, I would.

But I think I made the best of my situation, and I have a car that I enjoy. And since my situation will be different in the future, I will consider that car (4g) as a viable choice of purchase.

Just trying to help. BTW, didn't you buy a RWD Honda? Don't you live in Duluth MinneSNOWta? ;)

Wow I didn't know that the fully loaded 4G would be about 25K.... Shit for that money I would grow a mullet and buy the new GT Mustang for pocket change more.
