Well It's official! I'm going back to school.
 

Classes start for me next Tuesday already. I am really looking forward to getting back into it and hopefully shit goes better for me this time around.

I went to DeVry Institute of Technology right of of HS for Telecomunications Management when I was supposed to be in Business Management. With having to work full time and go to school full time I completed 1 semester and then just worked. Now, 8 years later I am going back for my 4 yr degree in Accounting with a minor in Business Management. I am going back to DeVry since they have a campus here in Edina now.

Right now I have 1 class set up online and possibly the 2nd on campus or online. With DeVry 2 classes is full time for 8 weeks, then it's finals. So even 1 class at a time if I wanted will still be good to get through this and maybe get a PT job. I get enough fin aid to cover all of school though + a little extra. ;-)

Thanks for the support, now I need to worry about getting trashed for New Years.

Gratz AJ! I have to get my ass in gear and signed up for a spring class or 2. I am getting pretty close to my degree after many years of school. Our head of marketing here had a doctorate in psychology and has made millions from it. He gave me a test he made to decipher my personality type. It ends up that I am in the one that has the hardest time finishing school because we get too bored with it. He was amazed that I have made it through 3 years of it.

Anyway, I am sure you will be happy with your decision and Jana should be able to tutor you :D

Not sure yet, deal with that when the time hits. I may use the degree to become a CPA and then maybe go into a Conrtoller position or something. Let's worry about getting through school first. lol

Been there done that. Wait till your Prof. tells you to purchase a book halfway through the semester to use for a week and then when you try to sell it back, the bookstore doesn't want it. :eek:

Try amazon for books, you can get used ones quite cheap and I just posted 7 old books for sale from the past 2 years and 5 are already sold within 3 days, its nuts. Got about 60-70% of what I paid :)

Well may be done with school already, at least for this 8 week session. Lets just say I may have been bent over by the school and not told when I am taking accellorated classes it's 2 8 week periods that = 1 semester. So 1 class of 4 hours each 8 week session = 8 hours a semester which would equal the federal minimum to get the stafford load.

But since I started in the 2nd half I only have 4 hours and now by fed law can't get fin aid now. So yeah, I'm dealing with that shit now.

ahhhh, yup. I am offically out again now. Might go back in another 8 weeks for the next session but don't know yet. Actually have a good job interview lined up early next week.

Well yeah, Started classes offically again today. The right account info, the right course online, and the right materials. Everything si good thus far and now I just need that job to go with it. But I have Contempory Business this 8 week course and Accounting 212 the next 8 weeks.

From what I understand at least 2 years in a public firm. I should be in scholl for a contant 3 years and then I would think 1-2 years in a smaller enviroment and the last 2 in a public or private firm. I am sure there is some other shit, but this is a general path that may or may not be all acurate.
