I've always liked the look of that car. The first time I saw one, I pulled into the dealer's lot and stared for about 5 mins...how to put it...oh yes, yummy!

helllls yeah, G35s look waaaaaay better than 99 percent of cars made today, including the three fiddy Z.

i also got to drive one a few weeks ago, 6spd, it was quite nice :)

Looks nice, but the camber is all fucked up and it looks like the tires rub.

Dude, you give mod's nightmares! No caps, we won't even talk about spelling, and that last sentence doesn't even make sense!! If you hadn't been around for a while and since you actually have some funny posts, we will let you get by with it (maybe!). You must have got grandfathered in or something.

Yea low is nice to look at... and everything else except daily driving ;) One pothole and you run over your front clip. I just like to see the top of the tire on anycar. Not much of a lowrider fan here haha.

Still am not a fan of enormous chrome wheels... it's so overdone and obnoxious... but regardless, very sexy.

G35's are plain badass. I [heart] the car stock, and I [whatever taking love one step too far is] that modded one even more! Even the bodykit is tasteful. The only thing on that car above I would change is the grill, it would look much better blacked out IMO.

These days chrome is for the classy look. It sets it apart from the "import" or "rice" look imho as long as it's not some cheap kneegrow big balla wannabe pimpin' chrome if you know what I mean.

Kracka 12-15-2004 12:32 PM

Re: Sick G35

Those really don't even look chromed, just polished. Eitherway, they look tasteful on that car.

Re: Sick G35

Maybe it's just been lowered that much for the photo but it looks to me like you gotta remove the front fender to take the wheels off.

With that much camber, the tire wear has gotta be a bitch too. I recked a pair of Yoko Parada Spec 2's that cambered like that.

A//// Guy 12-15-2004 01:12 PM

Re: Sick G35

He has coilovers so he probably just lowerd it all the way for the photos? Hopefully haha.

Ever heard of a jack? It's a cool thing to watch. You jack the car up and the wheel comes down to clear the fenders. :p

Re: Sick G35

Im not a big fan of cars that are too low either, and that car is "poser low"....well, or would be. Except that it is at a track and is probably that low for a reason. I'm guessing it has coilovers and doesnt drive that low on the street, if it does drive on the street.

Yeah i think i heard of jack before. Is that the thing i used to get the car up in the air when i removed the tranny 3 times on my old '97 GST?

At any rate, that thing is dropped ridiculous. If the suspension is really tight, the wheel isn't going to drop too much. Put about 3 people in the backseat or even 2, i bet she is scrubbing a new profile on the tires.

Yeah, I was just joking. I would think a car like that either has airbags or the difficulties in changing the tires really didn't matter to the builder. Some things are done just because it looks great and practicality doesn't even enter the picture..

NM. THE 350z doesn't.

I know you were 1ViciousGSX. On my '97 GST i had about a 2" drop. I always had to use the scissor jack to get it up part way and then use the hydraulic from there. Or else drive it on to a board or two. Almost to the point of ridiculous. My buddy own a garage with some lifts. I would just barely be able to get it onto his lift but we had to crank the lift adjuster down all the way.

Yeah it does look nice for the picture though. I'm not knocking that.

Not with that insanely large strut tower bar. (unless that only comes in the 350z)

Guess Im not cool enough. You all must have lowered to the ground accords with bald tires on one side and a front clip that has been ground off.

To me there is a limit. Im not a big "lowrider" or "ricer" guy and tires are freaking expensive so why the hell would you want to ruin them in maybe about 2 months?

The Whhhhhaaammmmbulance is almost here.

I like my accord with bald tires thank you. How are your tires to be ruined? Fix the camber then. Who said low is rice? I think painted things are rice, but to each their own.

Kracka 12-18-2004 09:44 AM

Re: Sick G35

Not all people are concerned about having their tires last 50k miles, some would rather give up long-life for the absolute best track times possible. Its been proven time and time again, the more agressive your alignment the better the car handles but the quicker the tires wear. Life, especially life with cars, is all about trade-offs. If you don't like low cars, don't lower your car! Who cares what the other guys does? If it is so bad for his certain setup rather than bitching about it use it to your advantage when and if you come up against him whether it be on the track or street. My guess is that if the owner of that car were on this board he would tell most of you to STFU and make you lick his bling.

That G35 is pretty bad ass. It is a nice mix of class and sportiness. It has the same look as a tricked out Mercedes.

How am I owned? He doesnt like painted things, I dont like cars that scrape on the ground? So we are both complaining about things I guess. (He mentioned he doesnt like my red tubing- thats his problem, just like I dont like this car being so low).

The car looks awesome, and I know for track use it is very practical and you will utilize the best performance if you have better camber.

Not everything has to be polished to the bling status you call "not rice" cher...

I never meant it towards your painted items because I don't know wtf you have that is painted. I was just saying in general. I never said any names. Whatever, I have my opinions, you have yours.

EDIT: Also, I wasn't complaining about anything, just using it as an example.
