Metro Mitsu's security sucks Uugghhhh
My old Talon with the fugly ass racing stripes that I sold to a guy at my work got broken into last night. My poor co-worker came to work today to find the drivers side window broken and the console trim around the ECU removed. They fucked around near the ECU, but it was still there??? We pull it in tonight and noticed a big trail of oil behind it.
They took the Oil feed line Banjo bolt!! WTF kind of theives is that? Someone trying to fuck up his motor or what? The worst part is there was NO radio in the car, just a blank hole. They really didn't steal anything exept I $5 part. Sorry to rant, I know this has happened to people here on this board at Metro before including my old K car wagon. It just pisses me off this shit is still happening. |
Yeah my buddy had his door on his 1G ripped open (to get in) and then they stole his Eclipse radio. Metro basically told him to get fucked, even tho they were putting the tranny in it.

I had an old Cavalier of mine being worked on at Marathon in Osseo. Got my stereo and all my CD's stolen out of it. This was prolly 5 years ago though. They didn't believe me, but then someone else reported stuff stolen from their car that night too. So I guess they believed us since there were two of us. I got reimbursed for my stereo, but not my CD's.

Yeah fuckin Metro!
|
That is insane?? Who the heck would do that for a freaking banjo bolt?? Maybe they were looking for an Eprom?

Hehe, TOTALLY kidding here. I would never do that. |
They managed to break the window?!? ;)
|
Heh, yea I can totally see the scene...someone drives up to Metro late @ night, hoping their parts dept as still open for that one banjo bolt to finish their turbo install. Damn! Closed! Wait, there's a dsm over there...well, I came for a part and I'm not leaving without it!
|
Funny part is they probably weakened the bolt by pulling it out, they sometimes snap underload when being removed, especialy in a hurry, otherwise they break when being tightened. I hope they break it off in there head when they install it!
go metro security go! |

My parents have had vehicles broken into at dealerships before the dealer was cool about it and accepted it as their responsablity to repace every thing that was stolen. |
Jet you forgot your banjo bolt at work tonight. Do you want me to drop it off to you?

that sucks that seems to me like some one who is just a little to retarded. risk going to jail for a $5 part that is stupid!!

I was waiting for Nash to chime in, but I guess that would be a huge can of worms. Nothing like what 3 different times it got broken into 6,000 worth of stuff stolen.
and lets not forget my own personal experience of dropping the car off to have a noise coming from the timing belt cover that I wasn't sure about (this was like my first year into DSM's with 322whp), and I needed them to replace a rusted in place axle. Well 3 days of "just got back from another test drive but still haven't figure it out" and 500 miles I get a big old "we're sorry your cars to modified we can't do anything for you" and handed me my keys. Then about a week later I'm up there with Nash and we're talking to one of there Tech's who's telling him how there was this white eclipse that came in and that he'd taken it home for the weekend and raced that hell out of it... Andy points out that the owner (ME) was standing right next to him. And the guy proceeds to walk off.......1Quick4 I'm pretty sure it was you....hehehe but at least nothing broke. And you got into DSM's shortly after so if I helped corrupt you in anyway then it makes up for it. |
That is what I hate about bringing my car to places. The mechanics like to beat and rev the hell out of everyones cars.
|
Yup, I caught a guy taking mine out for the test drive and just ripping on it right in front of me. If only he had waited 5 min cause he was reving and slipping the clutch right behing Jana and I as I was leaving. He quickly passed us and went down a side street in a hurry. We turned around and really let them have it. Got me a hell of a discount.

i'd kil if someone drove my car like that.

I had my van broken into last night on the street in front of my buddys house. They took the XM, a couple of converters and the charge station for my frs radios (walkie talkies). What they failed to see where the two laptops, sony reciever and 200 disc changer, printer, scanner, dvd burner and 27' sony tv in the back, plus my tool box. I got lucky as shit. The pulled the drivers window down so there isn't any damage to the van except the missing vent that the xm was zip tied to.
Only other time I had a car broken into was at an impound lot. The stole the deck and the tweeters and left the amps and subs that where built into the spare tire well and covered by a false floor. Too bad about your window. Hopefully you can find one off a parts car for next to nothing. |
Shit, a few years back I was fighting with Mitsu over some "warranty" work.During this, my car was at Kline for like a month, while it was there, it was backed into and broken into twice. The first time, they broke out the passenger handle/lock assembly and stole my deck. The second time, even though the lock was already broken(clearly visible) and there was a bunch of wires where the deck used to be and I had left the doors unlocked, they broke the passenger side window and went through everything inside my car and hatch.Of course Kilne wouldn't cover anything.
I can't say anything bad about Metro though, they always took good care of me and I never had any problems with them at all. |
