Painted my 2G today.
 

I finally got my 95 GS-T painted today, I bought it as a basket case and have slowly been putting it back together. I painted it MazdaSpeed Spicy Orange, I think it should look pretty cool. I am converting it to look like 97 turbo. I still need to squirt the ground effects and bumpers, but I am waiting to see if I can find a 97-99 eclipse rear bumper for a decent price. If anyone has one laying around let me know.

The car was forest green so this has been a TON of work.

Ok I give up... how do you post pics? I used [ IMG ] [/ IMG] without the spaces of course, am I doing something wrong? can't you put pics IN your post (not attachments) on this site if they are hosted already.

Nice color, what about the engine bay or the door jambs? Or did you just do the exterior?

You can also make a gallery here on style and post them all up there as well. Just look up in the Nav bar and click on gallery.

I did both doors and jambs, I did the hatch jambs, and I did the inside of the fenders, underside of the hood, and the upper tie of the core support. I was too lazy to do the whole engine bay, since I would basically have to remove everything, I might do the aprons and strut towers later. It just seems like a lot of work.

Make sure you're trying to open the it in IE. I couldn't get Firefox to open it so I tried IE and it loaded fine.

Are you Jake Chials friend? he was telling me a friend of his was painting and Eclipse this weekend, and when I asked him what color he said orange.

You may be too lazy to paint the whole engine bay... but it's probably gonna look a little weird. And with DSMs, the engine bay is the favorite place to bling it up! :cool:

Yeah if I don't paint the engine bay orange, I will black it out... We'll see, it doesn't look as bad as you would think.

If you are going to paint it black, why wouldn't you just paint it orange? Or are you going to ghettospray some flat black in there? Honestly, I do not like the color. If I wanted a orangish color, I would have gone with the stock mitsu copper. That is just too bright for my taste. Maybe the car looks a bit better in the sun though...
