With all the Fall Fever challenges, I was challenged last night. Since it is rumored that I have the fastest car in Owatonna, ( which is amazing considering how often my car runs), I must now prepare for spring. BenG, the owner of a black GTP challenged me for a race next spring in Cedar Falls. I know he runs high 13s and shouldn't be a problem. Plus his buddy with a Charger is supposed to be a hair quicker. I have yet to take my car to a track and get a time. Matt D. knows who he is, and can vouch for his cockiness. I also he starting to make some decent $$$ and his supercharger recently went out. So, basically I need to make plans for massive build work to my motor. I don't want this to be a car length win. I want to put him out bad.

I honestly would love to be competitive in the whole challenge for the site etc, but it is fucking on for Cedar Falls. :dsmrule: I just figured I would let you all know.

That is what I will have to decide, I want to go big, probably to the point where its just barely streetable. The deciding factor of course is how much money I can put up, and what I can get for decent prices, used AFC's, injectors etc.

Dude, I am seriously going to come to Owatonna personally once the snow melts and clean the street with that kid's GTP. I can not go there and hang out with my friends without hearing about the damn thing. It's a GTP, it can't even break out of 13s... BIG FUCKING DEAL! I am down with helping you do whatever you need to beat him by bus lengths. The punks in that town are so sheltered, it's appalling.

WTF is with these GTP guys? They all think their cars are sooo fast.

a high 13 second GTP isn't anything special these days in comparison to what they are doing on the national level.

We need to get a handful of DSMs down there on a Friday or Saturday night... Although it's nothing more than a ton of high school kids with their Cavaliers and fart cannons, their idea of what they consider fast is simply mind boggling.

I will definitely give everyone notice, it will be one of the earlier Cedar Falls days. I want to get some runs in ahead of time, just to get used to the tree and the car.

does he race at Rock Falls ever? Cause I have a few runs of a Black GTP on Tape from this year I believe.

It's a black GTP with a bunch of vinyl and shit on it. If I remember right the accents are your favorite color, yellow, or possibly white/silver.

I know some people in Owatonna, I'd love to head down for a visit.

Right now the big decisions are:

Do I go big, and build some huge near full race setup?

or

Do I shoot for maxing out my stock 7 bolt?

Obviously I really need to figure my price range for all things but planning is always good.

Being a fellow Owatonnan and DSMer, you can gladly hand this challenge to me if all else fails. The setup I'm planning on putting together now will easily hand BenG his ass.

I used to run around Owatonna all the time when I lived down there. Hell, the car I was running around in then should have been low 13's. I still have some friends in O-town, so I would be willing to stop by next spring and show him what's up! It should be 11's on pump gas pretty easily.

You would definitely be welcome, the more the merrier. Especially when it comes to stomping out other cars.
