For all you fans out there, this happened last night on SNL (saturday night live). Ashlee Simpson caught lip singing and then tryign to play it off doing a "ho-down" greatest vid in a while. :)

It wasn't because "they played" the wrong song. It was because the tape that she was going to start lip synching to started too soon and she got caught in the act so she started dancing like a monkey. :lol: It's too hilarious because her guitar players were laughing while she was walking off stage but so was she feeling quite... stupid (I would think). :lol:

I know, I'm just saying the excuse she used (her band started playing the wrong song) was ridiculous.

i remember this happening another time when i was younger... oh yeah Milli Vanilli. wow i know most of these 16 and 17 year old girls are totally faking this singing, glad to see one of them got caught. Next move for ashlee, PORNO BABY, where faking is encouraged.

I saw that happen last night and I couldn't stop laughing! First they played the radio hit, don't know what its called and though, wow, she's not that bad. Then when they cam out for the second song everything just seemed weird. The band kinda starts playing and out of nowhere her vocals come in from the song they had already played.

She could be a complete fake, or not. A lot of performers lip-sync to their own vox track if their having an off night, I know Brittney has done it. But then again these are the same performers that when recording don't sing the song the whole way through, they either do it word by word or sentence by sentence, then bring on the auto-tune!

Saw the video earlier today of the SNL bit. Funny as shit, and I have to agree she was dancing around like an idiot.

I'm pretty sure Brittney lip syncs the majority of her live gigs (everyone I've seen on TV anyway). You can not dance around like a Laker cheerleader and sing perfectly at the same time.

Also as another FYI, Shania Twain lip synced her Super Bowl performance.

All this manufactured music is ridiculous. I can't wait until the whole music industry is turned on it's head.

Britney absolutely lipsync's most of the time. Everytime I've seen any performance by her, it's very obvious when they show her close-up that she's not singing.

And for Ashlee (I'm nothing without my sister's fame) Simpson, what did you really expect? For the 5 minutes I wasted one day watching her show and her recording her CD, she's absolutely horrible. She can't sing worth a damn. All I know is that her vocals are probably completely gone through with ProTools to clean up the fact that she can't sing. "My band started playing the wrong song." Yeah, mistakes can happen, so you jump in and sing, big deal. Guess she didn't have the confidence to do that. Hmmmmm. :lol:

:lol: ...That was really funny. I heard the first song, then watched the show a little and went on the net and then I heard the same song again. I was like "What, twice...isnt that dumb?" Then I found out listening on KDWB this morning and now I just saw the video. First she screws up, then dances really bad and right after that she blames it on her band...haha. I dont think she can sing either, I wouldnt download them or listen to them regularly. I used to think she was hot, but that was back then when she wasnt a singer. She's going to be like Lindsay Lohan pretty soon...a party girl who drinks all the time.

I never have liked her and now this just adds to it. She is just riding on the coat tails of her sister. Some show had one of her early songs on it and it sounded like crap. I am glad that she got what she deserved!

I think that was the end of her singing career. Oh well...not big lost. It still funny thinking about how she was dancing. I dont/cant dance for crap either, but I wouldnt do that kind of stuff...especially on TV.

The music industry is/and has been on a downword spiral for a while now. Labels are singing less bands and pushing their power artists. there income also helps cover the losses on other bands that can't carry their weight. And you definetly know things are bad when labels start sueing 10 year old kids. But you can't just blame the "industry", if its complete crap why is it selling?

Oh, and the offical statement released for the SNL slip up was, "computer error, there was supposed to be a drum loop playing instead..."

Actually her dad supposedly told the news that she had an umpset stomach and that her acid reflux had made her voice hoarse- what a crock of shit.

Probably because it's the only music they play on MTV or the radio. The only station I know that takes chances is Drive 105 (and they still don't compare to some internet streaming stations I listen to). The internet is the best place for new music and we see how well the industry is embracing that. Most of the ClearChaneel stations have a 10-20 song playlist that they force down your throut all day. That's why this crappy music sells, it's the only music some people are exposed to.

For her pleading, definitely not defending her.

The music industry is to blame for the situation! They sign all these nobody bands/singers because it's cheaper to pay them a little on the hopes they might make it big vs. paying high dollar for real talent.

The music industry in America looks at us as cattle in the fields. They ring the dinner bell when they to sell the next greatest thing and we come running to the troths.

There are many bands/singers who are much better than what's on the radio, but the record companies make it so hard for you to hear them, they never get noticed. Then they blame the band/singer for not making it.

Since major label A/R reps lost the ability to sign artists that power is controled by hier-ups. That means 20 people in the united states that run the top THREE major record labels decide whats "cool", who gets signed and who gets pushed down peoples throats.

this all being the reason i dont listen to the radio. i constantly have cds to listen to in my car so i dont have to complain bout the radio.
