Hi all, im a bit new to turbos and shiz, so Id figure Id stop by and say hello!
There are currently 4 neons at my place and a 5th in a "descrete" location. LOL

Anyways, my newest ride is a modified 03 SRT-4
Picked it up from a buddy in Indiana, its got lotsa mods and is pretty fast.
Its a shame that I just bought it and its now in storage for the winter.
Oh well, gives me time to pay it off.
Im sure alot of you know me, we all used to have out at Redrock and the P&R on 61 a while back before it got outta hand. Almost bought a 91 Laser FWD turbo a bit ago, but couldnt afford it when the SRT came up.

Bah, you can't touch my mean Neon. I dropped in a 526 Keith Black Hemi with twin HKS Y2K turbos and a 400 shot. It runs low 7's. Check it out.

I sold most my ACR go fast parts (about 9 grand worth) in a two month period and used that money to pay off my Dakota and put a down payment on the SRT.

As far as mods, its got the basics and then some.
Ill clue some peoples in, let you guys figure out the rest the hard way :3gears:

Intake, exhaust, PCM, injectors, UDP, MSD, BOV, WGA, UPP, suspension, and a brand new NX kit with the GEN X 2 upgrade that im trying to sell.
There are a few other things im sure im leaving out, but what fun is it when everyone knows whatcha got?

Id love to run an EVO!! Cant wait for some tracks to open in the spring!
Now I just need to scrounge up enough cash to pay for the tax and title on this damn thing! :headache:

I'd like a few runs next year as well when everything's up and going and see if a Neon can keep up.

Heh Chris, good to see you out here. Maybe you should bring your ACR out to the rallycross on Sunday at Princeton Motor Speedway. Or if you want to use the SRT-4.

Even if you don't want to race, you should stop out. Are you still up in Maplewood?

The ACR still needs the stock head put back on it as I sold my ported head,
and the SRT doesnt have plates yet.

I have a question though: how does the neon make 260 HP and 321 TQ. Doesnt that TQ amount seem too high for the HP? Just curious.

The tq curve on these..... well, its not really a curve, but the line on tq line on these cars are pretty impressive!
I hope to get the copies of the dynosheets up soon.
Now only if I could go as fast as some of you guys.... but theres always time for that!

I am so sick of hearing that....what is that supposed to mean?

They are kinda weird looking and with their past of being slow transportation kind of cars you cant really think of cool when you hear the word Neon...

But this red one is catching on my good side, looks pretty cool. For the price its sweet but for 20 grand Id build something.... or get a mini :)

Neon's have always been faster and cheaper than Civics, why are the Civics so much cooler? Mini's fall apart, and they too are slow...kinda like Civics. $20k is not bad at all for a brand new car that will hang with modded DSM's.

Who ever said civics are cool?? And whats with Minis falling apart? Mini would out handle any neon or civic or dsm...

I didnt say the price is bad i think its a good car for 20k but Its not my style i guess.

I can have my opionion, and I can't stand Neon's. I have never liked Civics either, which is why I have never owned either. I can't stand Cavaliers, and I owned on of those piece's of shit too.

every thread ends up being 14 pages of of pissed of people. We like it that way it seems. Gives us more of a "family" feeling. Springer family more or less, but still a family! :toast:

Well how come the pic of the SRT-4 on the track had it's fog lights and different rims on it? Dont mean to question you or call you out or anything. Either way, SRT-4s are badass. A friend of mine has one. And like everyone has been saying, for 20k the car is the shit.

Because the pic of the burn out he had the fog lights in. That pic was taken at RT 66 back in July... see the white two door neon in the background? Thats the car we brought down there, its a 97 ACR.

The other pics that are up without the foglights were taken in late sept/early oct I believe. As a matter of fact, the fog lights are sitting right next to me now in a box, with the stock PCM, stock injectors, stock crank pully, and a few other misc. parts.

And yes I did get the Kosie K1 wheels with slicks and Bogart skinnies. They are sittin in my basement just waiting to be used!
I dont mind if people question about it. Its gonna be kinda hard to NOT believe I have the car when Im at Rock Falls next opener in April. ( I know RF sux)

Id like to bring the car down to midway and show it to some people, but its in storage for the winter, and I need to get plates on it before I DARE go down to that cop haven! Its kinda loud... 3inch from the turbo back, no muffler or resonator of any kind!

Actually they aren't Neons at all. It's called the Dodge SRT-4, you won't find a Neon badge anywhere on the car. They have similiar styling to the Neon, but the engine/drivetrain are completely different from that of any neon.
