So I went to WB Dodge today, and drove a 2005 SRT-4. I liked it. Equal length drive shafts, LSD, sunroof, and all for about 20k. So we crunched some numbers...

My payments now are $599.99 a month, $248 a month insurance.

Well after I soak up the inequity, and get $12,500 for my car  My payments will drop over $100 a month!!!

Plus my insurance drops  :stick:

Wierd huh?

So I can get 9% intrest by myself, but if I could yet again get my mother to co-sign, I can drop that to about 4.5%.

I've got my name on a 2005 Blue SRT-4... As early as next week, I could be 3g-less

Sunroof, Leather buckets, LSD, Equal length D Shafts (NO MO TORQUE STEER), and a beefy warranty!

$12,500 for my car, AFTER they drove it and looked it over? :stupid:

I can't wait! :bounce:

Any ideas for a plate?? I had:

4PLAY
4GASM

i don't think you are ready for the complexities of a turbo car, but then again your partner in crime seems to manage ;)

ACRucrazy 09-07-2004 02:50 AM

Hehehe, I think youll love it!

with little to no torque steer and the LSD, coming out of a corner with 250 torque and 230 ponies is really fun now...

Seats are great, and I love the stock sound exhaust (no mufflers)

I plan to leave it stock. I need this to be my "grocery getter" in a way. No more Elite Autosport burnouts, street racing, or 160mph highway pulls for me...

Try a different dealership before you buy.I know of at least 6 people who got much better deals at other dealerships, after first going the WB Dodge.I would suggest Blaine Dodge, IMO(and I have a ton of experience with local dealerships) their sales department is the best in MN.Ask for Jeff Weldon or Ken Lohr(been awhile they may not still work there)

You obviously don't own it yet. Most people don't understand that 150+mph is only seconds away in that car. $400 tickets come only seconds after that. Good choice tho, very reliable fast car for the money. Good luck!

p.s. Why does everyone get blue damn it? :secret:

slowbubblecar 09-07-2004 11:41 AM

he is a cop

JDM 09-07-2004 12:07 PM

Yes, there will be no highway top end runs in this car...

*for a while :bounce: *

Thanks Lightning, I'll check em' out this week!

It's gonna be wierd having a little bit of power behind that long pedal on the right... I think some call it an accelerator... Yep, that's it...

Goat Blower 09-07-2004 12:07 PM

Wow, $12,500 is a lot on trade in for that car. I just sold a 2002 Eclipse Spyder GTS in mint condition for $13,400 retail. They obviously have some decent markup in that Neon. Sounds like a decent deal for a big dealer.

Well technically my car is a 2002, I got the first GTS ever from Brookdale Mitsu, and it was labeled 2003.

The mark up was rediculous in that Neon. The sticker read 23,somethin... I was able to get down to 20,650. During the test drive, the dealer guy broke the shift knob, AND killed it, AND destroyed the clutch in the black one we drove... I put my name on the blue one

I still can't believe that they quoted 12,500 AFTER they drove it.

You should see my car, then you'd understand.

SuperSleeper 09-07-2004 12:50 PM

When did Dodge decide to make SRT-4s for 2005? I thought I read somewhere that they were discontinuing them...

Regardless, sweet dude. That's quite a price difference.

JDM 09-07-2004 09:09 PM

Subaru WRX

A lot of others, but I do like the SRT-4

The only reservation I had was that it's still a Neon.

1QUICK4 09-07-2004 09:11 PM

Nice choice for a new ride.
I just can't believe that nobody has ripped on you about it being a Neon yet LOL.

JDM 09-07-2004 09:11 PM

Can't be any worse than a 3g

Shane@DBPerformance 09-07-2004 10:21 PM

Was that comment directed towards me? Just curious...

unreal808 09-07-2004 11:39 PM

$700.00 wow... thats more than I pay for my house every month. why not get a 1G, pay it off do a half shaft and LSD and have money left over (for repairs). anyway do what makes you happy its your life but :dsmrule:

john 09-08-2004 12:07 AM

I will race ya when you get it. I have already pissed off one blue neon, but I think he was happy when he knew he took my headgasket while loosing.

JDM 09-08-2004 03:58 AM

$599.99 for just the car
$250.00 for insurance
$849.99 total

Then there is gas, and all that other stuff...

Kracka 09-08-2004 12:30 PM

Why does everyone on here seem to have such ridiculous insurance rates?

JDM 09-08-2004 12:51 PM

Khadgar 09-08-2004 01:04 PM

I'm 18. thats the only reason mine is rediculous

Mr Raced 09-08-2004 06:11 PM

Hey kiel if your not gonna worry about racing or making 160+ mph pulls on the freeway why dont you just save some money and just get a car thats alot cheaper and more economical.

JDM 09-08-2004 06:32 PM

There's a difference between racing and having fun. I want a "fun" car, and that SRT is fun. I do not, however, want to drive a Kia Rio...

SRT makes more power than I ever would have seen in my car now, and I can still keep into the "sport compact" scene while having some level of practicality in my car.

unreal808 09-08-2004 07:13 PM

Hay.. Kia Rio is a fun car, never getting laid will save money to.

unreal808 09-08-2004 07:17 PM

Much better :toast:

2003eclipse 09-08-2004 07:19 PM

yeah if your car goes into the dealership with my bra on it and they get it, your in for it dude.

JDM 09-08-2004 11:21 PM

Relax, Joe... That's not gonna happen.

JDM 09-10-2004 04:18 PM

So I went to Brookdale Dodge today

WHOOOEEE!!!

They have a black one AND

they'll give me AT least 13,500 for my car. Which BTW is 1k more than WB Dodge.

AJ 09-10-2004 04:42 PM

so what's the hold up?

A//// Guy 09-10-2004 06:19 PM

Yea jump on that quick!

JET 09-10-2004 06:28 PM

Bad ass! Gratz JDM!! :3gears:

520Talon 09-10-2004 06:39 PM

You should lease a Bimmer. My buddy just got one for $289/mo $2500 down and 15k miles a year. Its only a 323, but it is practical. With the 10K less down and an extra 300 a month you could build a pretty wicked ride that is not practical at all.
