The dates for the 2005 shoot out are already announced! Friday is going to be at his shop for a dyno shootout, then Sat. they are trying to get an AutoX set up, and Sunday will be the SO. The classes have already been announced too, with a few changes from this year. Start making plans now!!

I think he wants to show up in a vehicle powered by something other than a 4G63. Which wouldn't qualify, and hence the mention of no 'unlimited' class.

That pissed me off, Bushcur can run a RWD DSM with a ford or some shit rear end and transmission and I can't use a motor with the same block with a bigger bore and stroke...Bullshit I tell ya!

Time to do an "unlimited' DSM SO somewhere up here. The big B is probably just worried about how many people will own him in an unlimited class. I am not wasting my time going ever if it doesn't allow all DSM's to run in some class. And really, who would be gay enough to put a 2JZ in a DSM? hahaha. At least I am using Mitsu power in mine.

The Forced Performance SO might be a better bet next year.

The FP Shootout was a one time deal, it is not going to be done again.

Hun, I will be out of town from the 11th to the 15th of August 2005 for the 13th annual DSM Shootout. Let me know if this conflicts with anything we have going on next year. I hope it doesn't. :-) I keep having to miss this every year, please let me know ASAP as I need to reserve rooms soon.

What do you mean? You can't run in a FWD class, but otherwise I don't see why it would be a problem in any class.

I've wanted to go to this since I first got into DSM's - but typically for me that month is just doesn't work. Maybe this year will be different. But I won't know till the time comes around so I won't even bother saying one way or the other.

I think this year someone should litterally drag Barton to the event.

His 2.4 better be up and running by then so he can drive himself out there.

It won't be I'm going to be building it over the next 2 years. However I have another Stock 7 bolt Bottom End that I'll be putting in until the 2.4L is finished. Which will probably be in 2006.

With the record on a completely stock 7 bolt with stock intake manifold being 551whp. At somepoint I'll be getting on the dyno again to shoot for more HP out of my car. We'll see what happens when I up the boost from 25psi to 30psi. Hopefully a 500 something number will come up.

So could I run a 4g63t Colt and what class Q16?

Melissa's friend, who is getting married in August 2005, is not on her "a" list anymore. Melis said she would take one of her friends to the wedding instead of me if I would like. No need for me to give up the shootout for her "pain in the ass" friend's wedding at this point. :D
