Lots of hot chickas especialy this one blonde with white pants oh man what a nice body.. i wish that i had a camera with me and that she wasn't with 4 friends all big guys...but dayaam that girls' got the moves and the body to go with it!!!

your lucky you saw them live, i didnt think they would ever come to Minnesota since the world essential mix tour is for almost ever, was it 18+? anyways is Sandra Collins as 'hot' as everybody says she is? ;)

Enes 07-19-2004 12:30 PM

Yup, it was 18+
um, she isn't bad, couldn't see her body to judge that and she had the headphones on so you can't really say, plus all the lights and everything i'm sure doesn't do the girl justice ;) ... so yeah i'll have to find some pictures of her, from what i could see she looked ok/nice.

but there was plenty of other hoties around thats for sure ;)

enes you suck, i wish i could have gone to that show, lucky bastard.

Tachyon 07-20-2004 02:34 AM

<rant>I personally cant stand Okey since he sold out.... I use to like his older stuff back in the day but lets face it, his music now followes the $$$ I guess the thing I really hate about Okenfold is that Americans are for the most part clueless to the EM scene (hell everyone I know calls all forms of EM "techno") and because of their cluelessness they think that Okenfold is some sort of pioneer or somthing because thats the ONLY name their puny culturally challanged minds have been exposed to... </rant> besides that sounds like a good time

I agree!

I've been listening to a lot of DnB (drum and bass for you noobs) lately and I'm sick of it being called techno...

Khadgar 07-20-2004 03:54 AM

I've never heard of either....

Enes 07-20-2004 10:49 AM

Tacyon....

Ignorance is bliss, i don't see anywhere where i put any other dj's down .. It was fun time yes. Honestly there was only two sets that were good out of the whole night. I think i liked Sandras last set as much as anything else .. but it couldn't top out the second to last set from oakenfold. Some of his old hard beats.. There are many others that i'd rather listen to than Oakenfold... i'd love to go to some Cristal Method, PaulVanDyk, MarcoV, DjDoboy, Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Dj Jose..... Most of the Kraftwerk stuff is good too.

The "Techno" here in USA is no where near as it is over seas... The clubs here are pathetic, but they are getting up there... If i ever win a lottery i'll be making a european style club up here!!!

also it sounded like you needed to be impressed by our choice of listenning and "newbiness" want me to start throwing some old scool dj's from early 90's who you probably haven't even heard of? Like for example Choci, Rocket Ron, remember mostly due to name Jon the Dentist....

Oh well.. no biggie...

Its a blast and i think paul VanDyke is coming up here to Escape on the 19th ... anyone interested?

-E

AJ 07-20-2004 01:53 PM

I'm still fucking confused. Who is this shmuck? Anyone cool like 2pac or biggie?

Enes 07-20-2004 02:02 PM

Maybe Tacyon can answer that question, he seams to know more of the "techno" culture details ;)

-E

JET 07-20-2004 02:12 PM

He had "starry eyed suprise" and some other song that was pretty popular. My ex used to love him.

Uh yeah, or maybe it's because before people like yourself felt the need to classify every form of EM, all EM WAS refered to as "techno". I'm not sure but maybe that has something to do with it?

Enes 07-20-2004 02:56 PM

thats because there are many forms of Techno, and i for one don't like them all. WHy don't we just call all music simply music.. it needs to be distinguished between the ganras.

Matt D. 07-20-2004 03:28 PM

Crystal Method was the first electronica I ever heard, and was the first CD of the kind that I ever bought.

'Crystal Method - Busy Child' will always have a special place in my mind.

Tachyon 07-20-2004 03:28 PM

heh sorry Enes I didn't mean to come across as such an ass -I just have several friends that treat me like an EM noob cuz I dislike Okenfold (but these ppl also think the song Sandstorm is cool...) I for one find techno annoying but love trance (the high energy hardcore stuff... progressive is just so bleh) both, however are forms of Electronic Music. All I was saying is that if you were to play break beat style house and then psy trance, the typical american would simply call them both techno because the EM scene here is virtually non existant... It would be like me calling Folk and classic rock just "folk music" because they use most of the same instruments... To be completely honest with you, Enes, you are right, I didn't start listening to EM until 1997 it was all classical (i.e Mozart) before that so you have the old skool edge on me there

No problem kido ;) ...

Yeah TE is big and many shoot for that level of a club!!!

tpunx99GSX 07-20-2004 04:01 PM

tachyon- Wow you really proved yourself showing us your awesome knowledge of the "EM" scene. Honestly, who the fuck cares what you call it. I usually use techno as a general, but when im talking about a specific dj all say sweet trance song or house song. I love all forms of techno. so shut up with your preaching. noob.

ABV 07-20-2004 04:15 PM

I like Ace of Base.

And what about the Culture Club. There's some hardcore 80's technolotrancerama.

And who can forget Tiffany. Didn't she blossom into Kailey Minogue (SP?)

j/k I like listening to techno or trance, Db, or whatever it's called today. Honestly who the fucares what they call it. Is all good, as long as it's understood, we all together now in da hoooooooooood.

Enes 07-20-2004 04:21 PM

don't make this an attack thred PLZ>>>>>

Music is for relaxing, gettin in mood. or whatever you want!!!
People need to recognize between different style of EM music, and its totaly understandable that some people are more specific than others. Some are more specific for a reason, and others just because they don't really care that they are or arent specific.

I hate to be a good guy here... don't make me be one.. ;)

Tach, got my pm?

tpunx99GSX 07-20-2004 05:25 PM
