Aeromotive is what Most people use here.

I plan to run an Aeromotive FPR, AERO Gauge, Aero Fuel Filter, SS Lines, A/N fittings. at some point. just a matter of Money!

illz 07-01-2004 12:34 PM

aeromotive - paxton - s/x all the same deal. s/x for sure has great customer service, imagine the other 2 do too

Jakey 07-01-2004 01:00 PM

What about a Charged Air FPR? I believe they're hard to get ahold of but Import Evolution in Waterloo (www.importevolution) has them I know. Didn't Tym out @ Buschur also put together a FPR?

what about that

I have the buschur setup. Nice and easy. No need to add 10lbs to the car in extra AN fittings or mount it on the firewall. Bolts right up to a stock car.

JiN 07-01-2004 04:59 PM

Im in the market for one of them too. So I'll be paying some attention to this thread.

Good. I know you feel that much more complete.

Go with the aeromotive. There are kits available for mounting (DSMotorsport?) or you can order the parts yourself.

Jakey 07-01-2004 06:20 PM

Sorry to sound like a dick but does anybody have actual experiences with any specific FPRs that you can post up?

john 07-01-2004 10:01 PM

Uhhh..., I do. I have the buschur setup as I stated above. The things I like about it are:

-easy to adjust, all you need is an allan and a cresent wrench
-no heavy ball of shit to mount on the firewall
-no need to special order all the AN fittings to connect as it is a direct bolt on
-costs $275 new for everything including a gauge. I bought mine used from Patrick (zelp). Usually people spend ~$200 when making the big ball, AN, firewall mounting one

Enes, if you end up stopping up at QPR, take a look at it. It is there with my head. Mine is anodized red unlike the purplish one on buschur's site.

FPR's w/ install kits and a gauge don't even cost $275 if you know what to buy.

Install kit w/ gauge from FIC or other places $$120

AFPR: $135

Total: ~$255

MustGoFaster 07-01-2004 10:31 PM

John has an areomotive set up. It is a very good regulator. When he switched to twin 255's his base FP didn't change. I was going to get the FTS bolt on one, but whent the poor man's route, twin stockers.

I know. I paid $250 with a new fuel filter included. You proved my point. If I were to buy another, I would buy the Buschur. By your calculations, it would only cost $15 more to piece together a kit. I would much rather buy one product from one place than several products from several places. To me, the convienece alone is worth the $15. Shipping may eat that up though... I would rather buy the parts from a known DSM company that a few universal parts.

Pushit2.0 07-03-2004 12:38 PM

Yes the one I have is really nice. and worth $230.

JET 07-03-2004 09:53 PM

I also use the aeromotive, as does Nash. I am not sure what "heavy ball of shit" HORT man is talking about, but mine was nearly a bolt on. I also went with a digital fuel pressure guage that mounts inside the car, that way I can see if I ever out run my fuel pump! It was only $60 more than a standard engine bay one.

john 07-04-2004 01:06 AM

The "heavy ball of shit one" is what I call one that someone has to buy $80 in AN fittings and mount the fucker on the firewall.

First, AN fittings are aluminum, they weigh practically nothing. If you're too much of a sally to worry about fitting up your own fittings and braided line then it's no wonder you can't handle buying parts from more than one place.

john 07-05-2004 01:23 AM

I just think that it is stupid to go through all the fittings and junk when you can get one that bolts right on for a little bit more. Not sure about you but I hate waiting on shipping for items. I don't want to make several orders for the same part (AFPR). Buying a bolt on makes the engine bay a lot cleaner and gives you more room to work with.

I am said what I have to say, I am tired of arguing with cheap people. I may have paid a few more dollars for mine but I like it and would recommend it to anyone.

v8klla 07-05-2004 02:10 AM

I have the Fullthrottlespeedandsound AFPR, I will let you know how it works in a few days here Enes... Bolts on very easily and looks pretty sweet, as long as it can hold my 255HP at 43 psi, I'm a happy man!

For those that use the Magnus intake that Buschur setup would not bolt up. Many vendors such as myself offer bolt on FPR installkits for 1G and 2G.

I am going to go with aeromotive.. with braided stainless steal lines mounting to the firewall.

If an fitings aren't good they wouldn't be so pricey, and pros wouldn't be using them.

They are bitch to get put together but once they are together it is absofukenlutely beautifull!

safe and secure. Thank you very much and may i have another!!!

now if i could just score some -6 braided fuel line from tank to the filter to the fuel rail that would be awesome ;) but an overkill
-E

Pushit2.0 07-05-2004 09:27 AM

I run a -6 braided line from my tank to the return line, only another $100 or so and took me 4hours to remove and install.

I don't know about you, but I will not be ordering any AN fittings or braided line. There are MANY local shops that carry these items at the same price if not cheaper than mail order. If you think the setup Vicious has isn't clean, you need some braided line shoved up your nose.

So now because people want a custom fabricated setup and it might just happen to be cheaper than your direct bolt on, that makes us "cheap people"? Get a clue, buddy.

I've heard a number of people in the past say that on top of the fuel filter is an inaccurate location for a pressure gauge. I would tend to think you'd want the pressure gauge after the injectors, at the end of the rail by the regulator to get an accurate read on things.
