AJ 06-30-2004 11:36 AM

Date is set.

Saturday July 31st at Elite Autosport.

DSMStyle.com will be holding it's 2nd DSM Dyno day! Dyno runs open to all DSMStyle.com members with DSM's. Everyone who is not looking to dyno is also welcome to come out and enjoy the day with us.

$75 for 3 pulls. You pay before you even roll twoards the dyno. Not After. Cash Preferred.
FWD cars obviously you drive and strap in, and your ready to go.
AWD cars must be in FWD mode ahead of time. We don't want to kill 2-3 hours swapping VC's just to get on the dyno this time around.

Minimal tuning will be done. I am sure between pulls there will be a very small amount of time to make a few changes but no extensive tuning will be made.

Like last year we will have a grill going and pop will be provided for $5.00 at all you can eat/drink. This worked out very well for us last year.

Last year we didn't shake up the top DSM Dyno #s board much. Lets change that this time around!

I think we want to try and keep it right about 8-10 cars max and start a bit earlier this year. At 10:00am it woul be nice to have the first car ready to go.

But here it is. The event is planed. Many have asked for it again so lets make it happen!

Thanks to the guys at Elite for having us back again and lets return the favor by acting like the adults we are.

burnout contest?

AJ 06-30-2004 11:48 AM

I guess that's up to the guys at Elite. It's been done before, and I know we have a few FWD guys that would definatly lay some smoke, but I am not sure how good of an idea that is.

LOAF 06-30-2004 12:15 PM

I am sure JDM would enter to try for another busted tranny :stick: .

OH I'm in for the dyno and burnout contest. I can lay some smoke!!

JDM 06-30-2004 04:09 PM

Holy Jesus. If you guys raise enough money for me to buy a new car, I'll do a burnout.

I think I'll just stick to hot dogs and shit talking this year.

You taking the 1.8? Gonna break into triple digits maybe?

It will be interesting to see which one of us is higher, he's got a built motor and I don't...

AJ 06-30-2004 07:39 PM

I'd slap the 15s on the 1.8 and do the burnout contest. that's about it.

Alpine TSi 06-30-2004 07:41 PM

I would probably pay to see that...

Thats what I was thinking.

Yeah but I would have to say the key advantage to having a shortblock with ~171K on it is the sweet smokescreen. :woowoo:

Yeah but that'll be fun watching me spew oil and smoke all over there, just ask Swanny and Matt D.

AJ 06-30-2004 11:11 PM

Just RTV the entire thing. lol

Pushit2.0 06-30-2004 11:50 PM

I would like to move up the power board, sign me up.

Best burnout contest EVAR!

SlowWhite 07-01-2004 07:27 AM

I'll let you know. If I survive mayhem, and I get all my bills paid off I'll probably registure.

As I'm thinking right now. I'm going to have to cancel my Dyno time this Tuesday in order to cover some other things. So I'll just have to tune at the mayhem for now. Unless some people start buying stuff.

JET 07-01-2004 07:49 AM

Sign me up! Can you guys believe that I have never been on a dyno before?? Crankwalk owned me last year before the dyno day.

SlowWhite 07-01-2004 09:19 AM

Nice! - do I hear the makinds of a True Dyno war?

lacroix, Nash, and Jet are now registured? HHHMMMM can we say battle of the 500+WHP Cars

Plus it looks like Moe is just about finished with his DSM so maybe add him to the list!.

Hell did Carey post? maybe his car will be done. which would be another 500whp car.

AJ 07-01-2004 09:53 AM

Don't count out Carl or Matt yet. Matt has the bigger turbo itch and Carl is also looking at a larger hairdryer.

joem 07-01-2004 09:53 AM

Hope my car is still running so I'll be in.
joe

SlowWhite 07-01-2004 10:12 AM

Who MATT D? or Matt Shelby? or some other matt I haven't met.

I know Matt Shelby is a speed freak and I'm already frightened to know he has a 50 trim on his 98 GSX. :stick: j/k

Glad to hear everyone has big plans for there cars. It's good to see people taking pride in there cars.

AJ 07-01-2004 10:16 AM

Matt R - Alpine TSi. He currently has a 16G.

vassil 07-01-2004 01:33 PM

Hey Guys,

I don't post much here, but I would like to sign up for the dyno day also. I live in Winona and I will be up in the Cities bright and early. By the end of the month I should have my FP3052 installed (would love to see what kind of numbers I get).

My car is a 92GSX, built motor/head, HKS cams, Buschur Race FMIC, plus all the supporting mods to make some decent power.

Looking forward to meeting all of you.

SlowWhite 07-01-2004 02:17 PM

Well post more damn it :whipped:

sounds like you have a pretty good mod list going. And we'd love to have a local with an F3052 give us some insight on what you think about that turbo.

Uhhhhh.... I would have to say you have the bigger turbo itch for me.

Heh, we all want a bigger turbo, but unfortunately I don't have that option right now.

Plus I can't imagine what that would do for the whole blowby thing, it might actually launch my dipstick into orbit this time.

And I am more than happy having the opportunity getting into the 400's with my 16G, I fear no knock. :goodluck:

Hahah, yeah right... I'll be lucky to top the VWs for power with this tiny turbo. :woowoo:

john 07-02-2004 12:20 AM

I will be in if my car is ready and someone is able to help with the VC swap. Shit, only tow spots left. Jim (talonfiearo) and Chris C. (v8klr) may take the last spots. I have to decide quick.

v8klla 07-02-2004 01:40 AM

Yeah yeah yeah sign my ass up...The damn thing better not explode at mayhem, hell who am I kidding it is going to explode at mayhem, I will just have to get a new tranny by then I guess!

I definately need to get some tuning done before the shootout though!

SlowWhite 07-02-2004 08:17 AM

I'm going to have to pass. I'll probably be there but don't have an extra $70 to spend.

Bills come first unfortunetely.

AJ 07-02-2004 09:50 AM

Well we are signing to dyno 10 cars. If for any reason someone bails and can't pay or doesn't have a VC by that time we will have a few people ready as the backup. We don't want to spend over 30 min dropping the tcase on the AWD cars. So if you know it will take longer I might even suggest comming a bit early and making any final adjustments on the parking lot.

I will probably take up to 15 entries and the first 10 will have a spot.

JustROLLIN 07-02-2004 11:00 PM

Have it later in the day... I have to work until 4 and wanna see some of these dyno pulls.

Plus, I know you all want to see an AWD burnout. Since my car will be making 600+ by then I might have to lay one down. :liar:
