Hopefully she'll be nice to me now that I've given her a complete Re-vamp over the coarse of the past 10 months or what ever it's been.

:rally:

As you can see I've tried to get ride of as much Yellow as I could. And replaced it with Polished/Black/White where ever possible.

I still need to replace some Vaccum lines, and I'm going to attemp to make a Sheet Metal Cover for my battery to hide the Yellow as well as shine it up a bit.

But we'll see I have limited tools for that kind of thing. And I'm just about out of Money.

Also what do you guys think? Should I make a sheet Metal Heat Cover for the Manifold or just leave it as it is? (looks better then I was expecting, but we'll see how time/Weather Treats it)

AJ 06-21-2004 01:53 PM

SWEET!

Jana 06-21-2004 02:03 PM

It looks awesome Brian!!! Two thumbs up for sure! :D

You mentioned you got rid of most of the yellow, are you also changing the scheme inside your car?

SlowWhite 06-21-2004 02:12 PM

I haven't gotten to the interior yet. But for now it's going to stay the same.

I also forgot to add the ricer in me got the best of me when John Mayhen stopped by out of the blue on Saturday.

He sold his GS-T and had some spare parts laying around. So I picked up a set of Blitz Low Side Skirts for Dirt Cheap.

Wensday I'm going to install them (no holes right now) - and then Take them off to hopefully either this coming weekend or the next have my front and Side skirts Painted.

I'm going to install White Mesh in the front and in the wholes for the sideskirts.

-To protect my FMIC from bugs/Rocks
-To fill the holes for the Sideskirts

Anryate hopefully the comlete package will finally look good combined with the new White 18X8 Toxxins I have.

A//// Guy 06-21-2004 04:36 PM

That car better fly with all those parts, if you pull more 14s this year Im going to cry.

Looks sweet otherwise.

MustGoFaster 06-21-2004 05:55 PM

Look who's talking. :stick:

A//// Guy 06-21-2004 07:17 PM

Uhh I dont have a crazy big turbo setup... and I have never tried anything bigger than a 16g :razz2: Plus ive never boosted over 17, Im sure Brian has while he raced.

Sticky Rice 06-21-2004 07:36 PM

picture 9 that is so damn clean you could eat off of that motor *BLING*

SlowWhite 06-22-2004 08:53 AM

I boosted 20psi Daily on pump with the 20G.

I'm hoping this whole set will yeild more then 322whp on pump. Cause if it doesn't am seriously going to have a break down.

Things I've changed

Stock Intake Mani - 2G Mangus SMI
Stock 2G TB - 1G TB
HRC 2.25" long route I/C piping - 2.5" Short Route I/C piping
GReddy 24Row FMIC - GTR FMIC
RC550 - FIC 850's
CM Stg 3 - ACT 2600
SAFC - DSMLINK V2
OLD ARPS - NEW ARPS

I changed all that and actually Lost 1HP Between my GS-T(322whp on 92 oct) and my GSX (321whp) - and my power was dropping off at 6800rpms regardless of the fact I have HKS 264/272 and a SMI... which should have carried the power straight to redline. (8,000rpms)

And that's all I could muster out of my S20G on pump.

I've now upgraded again:
Turbonetic T3 manifold
PTE TO4S GT3561 .63A/R with 5 bolt T3 exhaust side
Tial 38mm Waiste Gate - routed back into exhaust
2.5" 02 housing
FP 4" Intake
New K&N Filter

Also wanted to add on the Pict 9 (Bling)

I'm having Jet Polish My compressor Cover and FP intake to match my VC and Magnus SMI.

I've also talked to MIke at QPR to fab me up a Sheet Metal heat sheild for my exhuast Manifold. Which I'm hoping will complimet my VC as well.

There are also plans for a Fluidyne Radiator. But not sure when that'll happen.

After the Mayhem Jenny and I want to go on vacation someplace. But not sure where/when yet. So I'll be saving for that trip first.

Anyrate thanks for the compliments. It's been a long haul but it's finally coming together.

JET 06-22-2004 10:01 AM

Ack! I didn't know you were running the wastegate off of the #1 runner! You should let the person making up your parts know things like this!! Be careful running that thing off of the #1 cylinder. It can make it go lean compared to the others.

SlowWhite 06-22-2004 10:21 AM

Sorry I thought you knew?

I wanted a Cast manifold, vs Tubular. And this was what was available.

JET 06-22-2004 10:45 AM

You are supposed to put a block off plate over that wastegate mount and put it on the O2 housing where it belongs!

SlowWhite 06-22-2004 10:48 AM

I can do what ever you want. But you're the one fabing up the 02 housing.

I originally had to do it off the Manifold because of the 4 bolt exhuaust housing I was going to go with. But now that I have a 5 bolt with a Hole. I can run it off the 02 housing if that's how you want to make the 02 housing?

I'm down for what ever as long as it works.

Shane@DBPerformance 06-22-2004 10:51 AM

Bah, it doesn't belong on the O2 housing. You can't even do that at all with a T4 exhaust housing or the 4-bolt outlet T3 exhaust housings.

SlowWhite 06-22-2004 11:42 AM

I know Lacroix, and Moe both are doing it the way I have it.

So I should be ok.

Pushit2.0 06-22-2004 11:38 PM

Manifold mounting is the way to go. My waist gate has a 18psi spring and with no boost controller it starts at 16 and creeps to 18 by redline.

If not done on the O2, it should be put in the collector. Lets start something in basic tech if this goes any farther.

Brian should have the O2 housing back and done on Thurs. Get that beast running by this weekend!

SlowWhite 06-23-2004 08:42 AM

I have to have it running by Thursday Night. (I have Dyno time schedualed for Friday after I get off Work)

Won't be the prettiest thing to look at but at least it'll be running. I can't find my paint gun so I'm now stuck with prepped Front End that looks like ARSE.

A//// Guy 06-23-2004 03:09 PM

Hey what kind of turbo is that exactly? Curious how big it is.

SlowWhite 06-23-2004 04:01 PM

Slightly larger then the Standard SCM 61

Larger compressor cover, bigger exhaust wheel, T3 housing.

Shane knows the spects better then I do.

But basically it's a non ball bearing version of FP's 3565 (ie: larger brother to there 3065) but built by PTE.

why do you think it would run lean on #1 if the wastegate is on the #1 runner?

JET 06-23-2004 07:18 PM

See thread in basic tech.

SlowWhite 06-24-2004 08:37 AM

Well Car won't be up for another 1 or 2. My 02 housing didn't even come close to working.

So I'm just going to have a full 3" 02 eliminator or something built instead.

Actually I'm not to upset. It gives me another 2 weeks to work on the car and getting it looking better, etc.

Yesterday I descided to Wash it for the first time in 6 months. (all I have to say is DAMN that was a lot of dust)

I found some left over PPG Paint (OEM White for my car) now if I can just find my damn paint gun I'll be good to go.
