Ok so I got everythign out I dont need now I have to deal with these two lines from teh firewall, I was hoping to get some advice on where to route them safely too as well, I don't want to halfass anything dealing with flamable gas, I've also heard something about a rollover switch in this area you aren't supposed to disconnect, but I didnt see anything like that in the service manual.
Line 1 Line 2 Thanks for any help! -Khad |
sorry my car never had a charcoal canister.. even tho it is a 2g it came that way from factory..

Did you check your front drivers side corner...that's is where they moved it in the 98-99 years....

FYI, you linked to the same picture twice.
|
Thanks for pointing that out, I fixed it.

Is the charcoal canister the huge thing under the battery in most dsm's? I thought about removing it on the 1g but heard bad things, I didnt even want to mess with it on my 2g, but am very interested. I like to reduce vacuum lines, miscellaneous junk etc.

The old quest is gettin' this treatment too...EGR Blockoff plate, then take out related parts =)
But my bay might win when it comes to misc. wires/vac lines... |

can someone explain to me why you would pull this stuff out? is there a gain besides cleaning up your engine bay?
|
2lbs and I guess you could mount your battery lower if you wanted.
|
I am also thinking of blocking off the coolant lines going to the TB to try and maybe reduce intake temps.

I am gonna get a bosch red, or maybe something from MSD, I haven't decided yet. The third pic is of the removed canister and all that stuff, definately looks like a cold air intake of some sort could fit there. |

The first pic is of your gas tank purge/expansion vent. Check valve it to exhale only and add a piece of vac line to route it down to the ground so it doesn't spew hot gas vapors near your exhaust or engine. The second pic has nothing to do with your vac/emissions. It is you drain tube for your A/C evaporator that is behind the glove box. Leave it open/uncapped unless you want standing water in your passenger side floor. -Matt |
Wow an answer finally =P. Thanks I don't have my AC anywhere near running condition so I gues that one doesn't matter and I routed the other one down to the ground.
