Help me choose a "wing"!
 

Alright, I am having a hard time picking out a wing for my car. I seem to change my mind each time I look at them. They all have their own merits. I am going to be putting several CF bits on it.

The small spoiler is the classiest of the bunch, but I think I want a little more bold as I think my car looks pretty mild right now. Nobody seems to think I might want to play. #2 I am not sure I like how rounded it is on the back side, but is the one I flip flop with as my favorite. #3 (M5 style) is a bit big, but I think my favorite (this pic isn't the greatest, it slopes down on the front side more than it looks like). #4 is an OEM look, but meh.

4, looks like it flows with the body best. Any side shots or are these the best?

#1 looks too small to even put on.
#2 looks great! Not too small or big.
#3 the shape of it does not match anything at all.
#4 looks decent but kind of out of place. Looks flat to me and doesnt stand out.

More pictures of different angles would help a lot.

Now I prefer #4. Flows with body like what tehehodi said. #2 looks good at certain angles but that 2nd picture of it looks very weird.

The thing I don't like about #4 is it is like a trunk extender, it doesn't stick up at all just goes farther back.

Sorry, 2nd pic of #2 was the wrong wing. Fixed now. That was the high kick version which I don't like.

#4, But only if the spoiler matched the color of the car. The others don't fit the lines of the trunk lid and body.

Going on this car, but will be getting several other carbon bits. Diffuser will be more aggressive and carbon. Carbon front splitter, smoked marker lights and front fender reflectors.

So I came into this thread, saw the text description, and I'm expecting a lot of different sized wings:

But seriously, I think #1 is crazy small, #3 does look out of place as far as body lines (at least from what I can see in pics), and I don't like the trunk extender style #4. My choice would be #2. What does something like that run, 300ish?

LOL, nice :D I know pretty much the size I want, there are several more out there that just aren't an option. I haven't really fallen in love with any of them unfortunately. They are all around $150.

Either #2, or a complete CSL style trunk (this is actually my favorite look).

I like #4 the best, but I personally like it best painted to match.. (i know not your color car, but best i could find quick)

I picked #2 out of your options but I'm starting to like the wingless look a lot more these days.

I'd buy all the other stuff first if you're undecided and then pick one after you get the other items one.

4, would be a lot easier to pick if the first pics were actual paint. I like Roseys pics, looks smooth. I would leave it wingless though.

Alright, I went back and looked at pics with the painted #4 and it just looks too stock. Almost nobody would even realize it is there. With my dark charcoal color I like the CF look and I will have several other CF components. I wonder if they make a #2 painted... I will probably end up having a few drinks one night and just pick one and roll with that. This thread has helped me though, thanks everyone. I have pretty much eliminated #3 now and am reconsidering #4 much more. I think it is between that and #2. I have a post up on the MNBMW page asking if anyone has a 335i with a wing, I want to see one in person.

Saw number 4 in person on a black 328xi when I finally got off work. Was going to snap pics of it from multiple angles or at least a vid but it was really dirty and I would look creepy.

I have only been able to find rear diffusers in CF for the M-tech bumpers. I can find one pair of painted front splitters, but they are a bit more than CF ones. I was entertaining the painted #4 as it is only $88 shipped to my door.

Want attention? lol Put an Evo wing on there. :P A 335I is a pretty stealthy car, surely doesnt scream race car, and putting CF stuff on there will just attract the wrong attention IMO. Someone who knows what a 335I is, will appreciate subtle mods.

Otherwise you could stance it!

Yeah, not dropping it. I nearly scrape on my driveway stock and have scraped a few times other places.

Shane made a great point about the CF getting yellowed and this is my daily that will be parked out front at work all the time. I am going painted parts on it. I have been doing a bunch more digging and I found another version of wing that is a combination of #4 and #2. I really like it! Basically it is #4, but a kickup on the back like #2.

I have a silver Evo wing if you want to test the look. It didn't look half bad sitting on the Yedda. :lol:
