MitsuStyle Gun Meet/Range Time
 

So, My lovely girlfriend bought me a Glock 17 for Xmas :guns: and I thought it might be fun to go shoot it with fellow gun folks.

Ideas:
-bi-weekly meets?
-Try different ranges (its only fair)
-2-4-1's after?

First Meet & Greet:

-$20* (Range & 2 targets, tax incl.)

(Cory, offered us a $15/person group rate. We might have to do 2-persons to a lane, depending on availability.)

Make it 6:30 and I would be down for once a month. I have 3 guns: H&K P30 v2 LEM trigger in 40 s&w, Mosin, and a Mossberg 835.

5:30 is too early I think for most who get off work around 5 trying to get there in traffic.

I would agree with the later time. I could probably make 6:30 that day.

I'm totally down. I really only have my shotgun but if they rent then I'd love to go through a few boxes! Or if anybody has a handgun I could try :guns: :iheartu2:

I could be down for this as well. Always fun to rain down the boom, especially with the AR as long as I have some cheap wolf shit on hand to funnel through. I also have a LC9 and a couple of .22lr toys that are fun and cheap to shoot. Is there shelving and such for stuff to be properly laid up? If I bring everything I end up with a range bag filled with ammo, the LC9, and ears/eyes in addition to 3 potential long guns and cases, four if I brought the single shot .410.

Bill's is the only other indoor option that I know of besides something way out of the metro... Different day maybe? Either works for me!

Nice to meet you Jet!! We had the range to ourselves for 70% of the time, Which was pretty nice.

Yes, it was a good time. I wish my pistol was acting better as I could have gone through a lot more ammo. I talked to Ruger and they think it is just the recoil spring assembly so they are sending me a new one. I took it apart and I couldn't find any problems with it.

What kind of Ruger do you have? What was the issue? I have a Ruger P95 that loves to stovepipe all the time. I've taken mine apart multiple times, cleaned everything, and I can't find anything wrong with it.

I was getting some major scoring on the rod inside the recoil spring assembly. It was shooting off a spark on each shot :P It is a brand new SR9c. I was expecting to find a burr on the slide, but it looks ok. I will put the new one in, clean it up and take it to this next range day and hopefully put 500 more rounds through it. I would have kept shooting this last time but I didn't want to damage it further if something else was going on.

I am going to see if I can make it this week. Have a new toy on the way, not sure if we will see it by this week or not. Depending on the people, group size, I'd see if they could make a case for allow this group sole access to that smaller second range room. I've found there to be more room back there for people who want to bring extra toys.

You can either rent specific items there or shoot what others have if they are cool with that. You'll just need to rent eyes/ears and pay share of lane fees.

I let lots of people try my stuff out, kind of the fun part when you go to a range and get placed next to someone with something different and you trade off.

Jana's thinking it may be doable so I'll try and make it. Doubt I'll have the new toy in yet but at least I have some others I can bring. I know I have a free range rental if I can find the paperwork from the STG buy.

If I go I'd likely bring my new 1911 .22lr, the LC9, and the AR with some steel case love to rain down. The Yugo isn't in yet. :(
