1998 AWD spyder
 

I have decided to sell the spyder. I am looking to sell or trade for a reliable truck, Jeep Cherokee, or possibly even a stockish 1g or 2g gsx/tsi awd. Link to the ad:

Looking to get $8000.

The bad:
-Passenger's door handle is broken
-Rough starts in cold running e85
-Leaks oil around oil pan
-A few small dings, other than that the body is pretty mint.

The car is in great shape, I daily drive it almost every day from Eden Prairie to St. Paul without any issues.

I never had it on the dyno. My hp estimate on link is around 450 hp at 23 psi.

Yes, unfortunately I have to dd it this winter. I park on the street right off Eden Prairie road so that's probably where you saw it.

Bummer I've been back and forth on this car for the past month. Am just waiting on tax returns to find out exactly how much I'm getting. And since shane never got back to me about his car. This one was at the top of my list.

Was also trying to talk steve into buying one of my cars so possibly there might have been a car swap in minnesota for me lol.

Slowwhite - Sorry I never replied back, I haven't been on style in a while. I decided not to sell it, going to rough it out until spring. I deleted the link on craigslist but somehow it republished itself. Just took it off again.

Yeah that's the plan, if I start saving now I shouldn't have a problem picking up a cheap dd come late fall.

After doing some thinking I decided to get out of the dsm game for a while and try to save up some money so I'm selling the spyder. The clutch just started slipping when going wot. There seems to be gear oil in the bell housing so im pretty sure it got on the disc which is causing it to slip. Shoot me a text if you're interested, thanks!

Good idea sir, I will do that when I get home. Just wanted to add that I will throw in the 1g fluidyne aluminum radiator w/ slim fans with the car as well as a speed density setup.

Last I heard Blake is wanting to go back to vw's. Car is super clean. It has a new painted hood on it that I did since it was blue when he bought the car with out the carbon hood.

I have been so back and forth about selling this car.. Part of me wants a reliable cheap car so I can pay this car off but I also love this car and don't want to regret selling it. All of my friends keep telling me to keep it for the summer at least. I just got a new job that pays really well so I can afford to keep it now

Hey guys, sorry for the confusion about selling/not selling this car. Having to dd this thing this winter and financial issues were the main reasons I wanted to sell it. Fortunately she made it through the harsh winter and I landed a good job that I will make enough $ to be able to keep her. I am definitely going to keep it for the summer and most likely a long time after that unless I find someone that would want to trade for an evo.

I might be interested. I sold my gsx last year and already miss it. Have you figured out where the oil leak is coming from?

Work and fix it. ^Oil pans are ridiculously easy.
Unless you're buying a new car, it's more than likely going to have some issues as well.
