New guy with his grandma's car

Uhh... what to say... I'm Devin. Some of you may know me. I mostly joined so I can have more forums to read, but this seems like a good place as well. I'm a psychology student and I spend my time between Plymouth, St. Michael, Wayzata, and Bloomington for the most part.

What I drive? Nothing too special. It's a 2000 Buick LeSabre Limited. Bought it through a client of a family member's business. The owner inherited it and had no need for it, so I got it for 4.5k with 60k miles. Originally I did intake and a catless downpipe, which then lead to L67 heads and the gen 3 m90. Right now it's pretty mild. Has the original block for a little more compression, "stock" 3.8 pulley, fender well intake, HD rear suspension, sc port, headers, blacked out grill, and a raspy muffler, and I think that's most of it.

And a little vid I made the other night. Yeah, my first gear is LONG. Goes to 55.

No, I'm not cool enough for that. Requires 10 more rice points.

Not unless you count a ton of suspension travel. No jumps.

Sorry, I missed this. I didn't know about anything at rainbow, but I don't really go to a ton of meets for the most part. Feel free to message me.
My car doesn't wheel hop, just spins or goes.

^This. I like understanding how people think and how people act. Security is nice, but not my biggest concern.

Could be. haha As far as the car, I didn't build the car for anyone else. I's a good balance between comfort, torque, 30+mpg on the highway, and reliability. It ran 16.4 bone stock and 15.8@88 n/a with a downpipe and intake. Low mid 90 traps last year, and it's a bit quicker this year.

It can make smoke if need be, but the kumhos hook pretty well.

Re: New guy with his grandma's car

I once drove an ex's plain ol' LaSlobber and had to start manually shifting it because I got so bored.

The last time I drove anything with a supercharged 3800 I didn't "get on it enough" for the supercharger to kick in. I lost any interest after that.

Did you say the tires hook well? I'm surprised you can even turn them over.

Yep. They are horrible sounding motors.

The motors are great, but not stock in a Denali xl. 118hp per ton means that it would never happen. Would run better in a Buick Roadmaster. haha
