Caravan to Proving Grounds 1?
 

Just seeing when everyone was headed up to the MAP Proving Grounds in 2 weeks? Would be fun to get a caravan from Style headed north.

Edit: This would be on Friday, the 21st.

I plan to be in Minneapolis around 3pm or so, would like to take a small break and then drive the rest of the way. I might be able to leave earlier if the group wants to leave at 3.

3 sounds like a decent time to leave... I'll probably work a half day, eat a really ridiculous lunch, then meet up with whoever wants to roll out.

I'm still trying to figure out how I can get off work to go. Sounds like I have Saturday off, but the other days may be tough.

I kind of want to go to this but haven't fully decided. Any set time you guys planning on heading up? I'd want to ask for the day off or a half day sooner than later so my boss doesn't hate me

Probably head out around 3-3:30 on Friday. We could meet up on the north west side easy enough.

Not sure which day I should try to make it up there. I am supposed to work Friday Saturday and Sunday, but I'm thinking I may use my first sick day ever for either Saturday or Sunday. I'll have to look at the schedule up there before I decide.

Edit: looks like Saturday will have more racing, but Sunday is eliminations. Hrm. Decisions decisions.

Well boss said I can have a half day on Friday so I'm 90% I can go pending my trailer stuff gets figured out tonight or tomorrow.


Unless somebody can fit my bike in the back of their truck and wants to split the gas er something... :D

For anyone else that plans on camping on the grounds, Team MKR will be camping near the road course. We plan on trying to stay away from the youngster riff-raff, but will be having a good time parting in our car trailers with lots of mosquito repellent.

How close is the road race area to the drag strip entrance?

I'll only be doing the drag racing and kind of want to be closer to that but I don't want my shit to get messed with either.

The road racing entrance is the opposite end of the park from the drag racing area. So it is not close, but that is why we like it, not many flat brims to get in "yo face".

I really want to camp on the drag racing side due to that's what I'll be doing more and want to be close to that as possible. Still want to try and cruise up there with you guys though if tomorrow doesn't suck at work and I get everything done and loaded up tonight.

We sure can, probably closer to 3:45 by the time we reach DB. I've got one last shot this morning to unfuck my car or the only thing I'll be Proving at these Grounds is how much liquor I can hold.

I also got my spare helmet back that I could bring with if anybody needs one. Aaron used it last year at Rock Falls and passed tech with it.
