Awesome, can't wait to see your results!

Re: First Ever Evo 8/9 EF2.5
^x2.
how much more tight is that mustang dyno? I just ask because with a 30psi on an old dsm 16g i made 410/440, and an EF1 will do that. However this was on a dynojet! I hope you have a beer ready for when you smash those goals!!! Make sure you get some video! |
Re: First Ever Evo 8/9 EF2.5
bringing dynojet numbers to a mustang discussion, lol :P
I'm sure Ron's dyno reads a solid 10% lower than a dynojet, maybe more. |
Re: First Ever Evo 8/9 EF2.5
LOL 430/400? You basically already made those numbers with the EF3 on pussy boost. :D
Good luck man |

That's crazy.
Good luck, I hope you break 450 at Ron's |
Re: First Ever Evo 8/9 EF2.5
It'll certainly have the power to hit 450 but not sure I want to run the stock block that hard.

Re: First Ever Evo 8/9 EF2.5
arp rod bolts?
|
Re: First Ever Evo 8/9 EF2.5
arp headstuds lol...completely stock internals
|
Re: First Ever Evo 8/9 EF2.5
I'm saying drop the pan and do rod bolts unless you have to machine for them.
From the small amount I know those seem to be the weak point. |

Leave well enough alone. I wouldn't even do headstuds unless your head has to come off for something else.

Re: First Ever Evo 8/9 EF2.5
Okay so this took longer than expected by like 2 months haha. Had to get new clutch, then break in, but were ready for a tune now...only that turned into another week away since Rons is headed to Arizona so next Monday or Tuesday is the day lol

Nice numbers!

Re: First Ever Evo 8/9 EF2.5
What exhaust housing? Seems very laggy.
|
Re: First Ever Evo 8/9 EF2.5
That does seem very laggy compared to mine. Here are both of mine, with (dotted), and without (solid), anti-surge:

Re: First Ever Evo 8/9 EF2.5
Standard 10.5cm housing, and keep in mind Kracka you do have Mivec ;)

Re: First Ever Evo 8/9 EF2.5
Oh, he has a VIII, I just automatically assumed IX...I see now :(
What cams? |

Re: First Ever Evo 8/9 EF2.5
Yup, those are laggy cams. Switch to something like the FP4R's or GSC S1's. 4R's have served both Andrew and I very well when it comes to having a responsive setup. You could always try some adjustable cam gears too.

Re: First Ever Evo 8/9 EF2.5
Eh I'm good, I'm going to rock this setup til something goes kaboom or until Im sick of it. I want to track this setup and go from there. Evo 9 is my next purchase MIVEC ftw
|
Re: First Ever Evo 8/9 EF2.5
Evo X FTW...double the MIVEC!
