Depends upon the house situation. Priority #1 is to get this house on the market and get into a new place. When that shakes out the stealth may make it out.

I am honestly in no rush. Just need to order pistons, gaskets, bearings, oil pump, pick-up and then machine/assemble (assuming heads are good). Everything else is here (new block, 4 bolt forged crank, forged rods) to be able to run 13t's (or any TD04) at full tilt, should net 425-525awhp easily. Then I can always upgrade to a DR set of 750's a few years later and move that mark to 525-625 :).

Same boat here, trying to get this house done so we can sell it and build one on the west side. At some point in the process I am leaving the DSM platform and moving on to bigger and better things :D

I work in Plymouth now, so yeah west side. We will have 5+ acres and a shop set up for lifts. Car will be a turbo V6 (a little less vague). It is a chunk of change for one though and I have to try and figure out where that fits in the equation with getting a new house.

...a matte white 240z, with a boosted small block, 6 speed and back halved rear to stuff good sized tires under. Stripped and caged but 'finished' inside so it doesn't completely look like a racecar inside.

Strangely specific, I know, if/whenever I get another fun car that's what it will be, especially since I have a truck now I can DD. I took delivery of my Raptor yesterday, and so far no chance in hell of buyer's remorse and I've not even got to 'play' with it yet.

I was pretty set on that, but after really getting in to the 996tt the AWD system is a total joke. Basically they just put a huge viscous coupling near the front diff and that is the AWD system. Most of the guys just ditch the AWD and go RWD because if you do much spinning it just burns up the viscous. They can make good power and the drivetrain holds up well in RWD, but I want AWD as this will probably be a year around DD. I will have a small SUV (probably my 99 S10 blazer) for really crappy days but I want to drive the fun car 95% of the time.

I have had a couple of the AWD 996TTs on the dyno that ended up having a broken AWD system and the owners didn't even know it.

Yep, they have to use a dyno that mechanically links the front and back or they burn up the viscous and around 50% of them are burned up already and people aren't aware of it. They only transfer 5-20% of the power to the front wheels and that is after the viscous heats up and they are usually done spinning by then anyway.

997tt has a great AWD system.

I'll be looking for another Lotus when we get our house situation settled. Although some slantnose 911's are kinda catching my attention.

Good luck finding anything anywhere near Plymouth with 5+ acres under $1M Jet. That's where we're looking and you don't get much for your money compared to what we have now. I'd be happy with any acre so I have room for a shop or 5-car garage. :D Maybe I'll just wait til them come up with another Autoplex in the NW burbs.

Yeah, land out here is going to cost about what our old house sells for. A decent chunk of land is $300-$400k and even then is about 10 miles from the 494 loop. I wish I was ready to pull the trigger now, I found the perfect 7.7 acre lot on a fishing lake for $300k and only 10 minutes from my work. House will probably be valued around a mil when we are done, but I won't put that much in to it. I will do like this house and do the whole interior myself and build up a bunch of equity. I will make well over $100k on this house.

Yeah, I'm planning on the same thing. I've been looking at total fixer-uppers. The one I really wanted was in Maple Grove, 9 acres, attached 5-car garage with separate 4-car shop. Needed a lot of work, sold before I could pull the trigger. Damn. Same thing, worth about $1M fully finished.

V-6's do alright too. It maxed the dyno at 1500whp and went straight to plaid! AWD street driven dual clutch, Mmmmm!
