Re: Sept 29th rock falls
I'll talk to my brother, he wants to run is civic again after a tune. we'll see, not expecting too much of a change though but it's always good fun to go to the tracks. :)

Re: Sept 29th rock falls
Here is to wishing for a mid 150 trap :)
It's only $40 for money or trophy class. Cheap day of fun! |
Re: Sept 29th rock falls

Re: Sept 29th rock falls
First time going to the track. I know trap I can trap 141+ in the 1/4 but getting a good launch is key. I should be able to launch it good for a 9. But just a little nervous since its my first time going. Next year I plan on lowering and stretching the bike with a couple bolt ons. I can launch my bike pretty good on the street. This weekend I will go out and try a couple more launchs.

Re: Sept 29th rock falls
After your first few passes, you'll get pretty comfortable. Well, that's how it was for me in a car anyway. I don't know about doing whoolies down the track feels like.:seeya::eek::drive1::shocked:

Re: Sept 29th rock falls
I think after the second one I should be pretty good. It will be fun getting to the track and running it.
|
Re: Sept 29th rock falls
I'm swapping my longblock tomorrow, maybe tonight.
But I want to make this. |
Re: Sept 29th rock falls
Im planning on going...the evo is running great right now (at this moment in time haha).
So time to go break something. |
Re: Sept 29th rock falls
Do I need to bring a race trailer incase you break? Lol. Trying to find a good spot to meet.
|
Re: Sept 29th rock falls
Sure if you can bring one, never know when I'll need it ;)
|
Re: Sept 29th rock falls
If my car is at least street tuned, expect me to be there as well :)

I always liked meeting at the McDonalds in Hudson. On the way for most people and best of all its a good excuse to get an awesome fatty breakfast.
|
Re: Sept 29th rock falls
I'm going to attempt to make this. But I definitely need to find a trailer.

2 weeks ago there was a modified 2009 - 1000rr running 11.1's @ 137 Track was too sticky for him and he couldnt keep the front end down for the life of him so he kept having to let up. Racing on a prepped track is nothing like driving on the street. Dont get your hopes up. The first time you launch the bike at the track like you launch it on the street, you will scare the living shit out of yourself. Good luck! Get some video! |
Re: Sept 29th rock falls
I did a radar run that was a 1/4 mile and I trapped 141. So I should be able trap 140 at the track. I know the track is differnt then the street. Aslong as I run low 10s I will be happy with that. I think iam a pretty good rider. but I guess I will find out this satutday.

Re: Sept 29th rock falls
Leaving my house at 630 saturday morning. I plan on driving straight to rockfalls. I will be bring some tools and a small air tank. i think I have some people meeting at my house or by my house. If you want to meet up with us let me know.
|
Re: Sept 29th rock falls
Will do. I'll know later in the week car was rich at 11.1, but it was flat/solid all the way thru.
|
Re: Sept 29th rock falls
Nice hope to see you out there
|
Re: Sept 29th rock falls
Hmmm, I guess I better make this as well.
|

Doooo it!
You could line up against Aaron. Style show down |
Re: Sept 29th rock falls
Well, tomorrows the day.
Who is all going for sure? Anyone want to meet up, if so what time? It's what, $69 to race tomorrow? |
Re: Sept 29th rock falls
I don't think I'm going, I'll have to check with my parts guy.
|
Re: Sept 29th rock falls
Hmmm, looks like I am driving up solo then... need at least one other mitsu guy to bounce ideas off of and help my noob ass!
Wondering what tools to bring if any...all I was planning on is a 5 gallon jug of e85 and a tire pressure checker to let air out and fill back up there. |
Re: Sept 29th rock falls
Game on, looks like I'll have my parts in tonight and I'll be installing them and tuning tonight.
FUcking WOOTski! THANK YOU MAP FOR THE AWESOME SERVICE!!! |
Re: Sept 29th rock falls
So you wanna meet at your place or bestbuy parking lot and head out tomorrow AM?
|

My place is fine, if anyone else joins then we can just do the BB parking lot.
|

|
Re: Sept 29th rock falls
Come help me tune mine. I had it idling pretty nice last night and today it would hardly stay running. Link V3 is giving me fits.
|

Wish I could go with you guys! :( Damn walgreens to hell with them!
|
Re: Sept 29th rock falls
So it looks like $40 to race tomorrow at RF.
It's a fun race, looks like racing for cash or a trophy. Anyone have any other details? I'd prefer to run at least a few times before I line up against anyone. I am guessing we get some practice or something? I guess who has gone to a fun race before? edit: found this... Gates Open at 7:45 a.m. Time Trials at 9 a.m. Eliminations around 1:30 p.m. $40 to Race in either the Money Class (Pro ET Only NO CARS w/ ELECTRONICS ALLOWED) or $40 to race in King of the Hill or Street Eliminator Win 2 rounds, win a Trophy in King or Street In Pro ET Money Class its $250/Win, $100 R/U and $50 to the Semi-Finalists. FREE Consolation Race for anyone who loses 1st or 2nd round of any of the classes. $100/Win, $50/RU and trophies given out to final 4. |
Re: Sept 29th rock falls
Time trials are essentially practice. They're for letting you run your car and guessing an average time so you don't break out during eliminations. But you will be lining up with people, they don't run them on only one lane.
|
Re: Sept 29th rock falls
Yea I'm fine a person in the other lane, I just didn't want to have to actually race right away
|
Re: Sept 29th rock falls
Good luck out there guys!
|
Re: Sept 29th rock falls
Just got home, need to install turbo, check the tune and practice launching a bit.
