Project Stormtrooper TK1204
I guess there really is more to style than just the shoutbox. Got back into something I know a little better and going to keep it streetable/reliable as this will be my college whip for the next 3-4 years. I'll let the pictures do the talking but I'm sure some of you might recognize it. Somebody has been hounding me to start a project thread when I have close to nothing done to it. Anyway, on to the pictures.
First mod http://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...35735526_n.jpg At school getting edumakated. http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...85724275_n.jpg Monitoring. Yeah, not the best gauges but I got them for a good price. http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...22955587_n.jpg Intake installed. 3" into a t25 is kinda interesting. Still need an adapter and filter. http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...83517862_n.jpg If you live in or around STC. "COME TO SOK'S CARWASH!" http://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...88176680_n.jpg http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...67330071_n.jpg http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...75074125_n.jpg http://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...39609307_n.jpg http://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...95466489_n.jpg Some gauges installed http://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...06883436_n.jpg Waiting to be installed http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...67241481_n.jpg Current mods: Dejon intake wally 255 3" turbo back exhaust minus a small taper at the magnaflow muffler. Future mods: Timing belt and pulleys, maintenance. Would like to put in new front and end clutches. Going to go with a TL bastard 20g (have a minty 14b now). 1g crushed bov(have) Definitely e85 Thinking of going with a flashable ecu as I'm poor. All the supporting mods: FMIC, blahblahblah, everybody knows already. So far, it can keep up with a e46 330i Dinan 3. Which isn't bad for a t25, side mount, no hard pipes, plastic bov, and a steady 11/12psi. I haven't had the chance to play with all the subaru and euro fanbois up here yet. Tried playing with a eg hatch but he heard the turbo spool. Some day. Also, the first day I got it and driving home, an srt4 challenged me but I had to decline because of my precious package and no WG. :scsa: The car is reliable as all hell with no problems whats so ever. Why TK-1204? Well, Star wars is the sh*t, 12(year I got it)04(my 4th talon). I now just realized I've only owned talons and no eclipses. Resemblance? Maybe? yah? http://content.bored.com/photos/stor...1691crotch.jpg |
Re: Project Stormtrooper TK1204
^LOL!
Is this the one Nick was selling (Brad's old one)? Go take down some Boobaru's, there's definitely some cocky subaru guys up there. (Austin, Boner, that little troll Cam, etc, etc haha) Looks pretty nice man, let me know how that TL 20g goes. |
Re: Project Stormtrooper TK1204
LMAO. about damn time, stop worrying about what people think and use this to keep track of your progress and good information that u might need.
Car looks clean. |
Re: Project Stormtrooper TK1204
Looks super clean. Awesome man!! Part of me is a little jealous.
|
Re: Project Stormtrooper TK1204
Nice! Kinda makes me miss my old one, despite having the Evo.
|
Re: Project Stormtrooper TK1204
oh man, nice! maybe i should come up to STC just to shoot this car. hahah! clean ride!
|
Re: Project Stormtrooper TK1204
Looking good! Remember, keep it simple!
|
Re: Project Stormtrooper TK1204
Dude that car is clean! Nice pickup! Should be a good daily!
|
Re: Project Stormtrooper TK1204
Glad to see this car went into good hands! Have fun with it!
The fuel pump should also be re-wired unless Nick took that stuff out of it. I should still have the cruise control setup if you wanted it, but it was kind of sticky and made the pedal hard to push. |
Re: Project Stormtrooper TK1204
Love white Talons! Its so clean too. Nice ride.
|
Re: Project Stormtrooper TK1204
Nice looking car! I love the color too!
|
Re: Project Stormtrooper TK1204
Thanks everyone! I love my trooper!
8/11/12 Perrin Filter and maf adapter installed per Dan H. from MAP with a hell of a deal! Thanks for meeting up with me and picking this up for me! I appreciate it much! A++ service right there. Sometime last week I installed the 2gb talon wing as well. The reason I chose Perrin is because I saw a picture of a spectre on MAP's feed and well. That thing sucked itself into the turbo. Unfortunately, I do not have my phone cable to hook up to my computer so hold on to your seats cause a big update is bound to happen soon. With pictures. A few pieces away from going green.:usa1: |
Re: Project Stormtrooper TK1204
sending pics to facebook from a phone must be tough stuff. haha
You gonna run the T25 on corn or you swapping the 14b on first? |
Re: Project Stormtrooper TK1204
Have you seen my pretend smart phone? It won't let me do it.
14b on corn for now to get the kinks all worked out. Baby steps. Then from there. Who knows. ;) Found a cable. http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...04183224_n.jpg The turbo screams now and is holding solid 12psi. Forewarning, the thing is oily as hell! Wear gloves. http://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...77012457_n.jpg My nephew helped me install it. |
Re: Project Stormtrooper TK1204
Lol t25 on corn = death. car should be pretty fun on corn and small turbo. I loved my old 14b car on death mode.
|
Re: Project Stormtrooper TK1204
Edit: crap, logged in for my friend to list those injectors sold haha, delete!
|
Re: Project Stormtrooper TK1204
Car looked really good yesterday, Pat. Didn't give you much of a deal, I just ate the tax and the cc fee, but being a former dsm'er, gotta help out the community haha! Those perrin filters are def. oily, one of my favorite pairs of shorts got ruined by one haha.
Good luck with the corn venture! I should have raced you yesterday, before the switch to corn, so I dont get myself embarrassed haha. |
Re: Project Stormtrooper TK1204
Yea, the Perrin filters are crazy oily. I dabbed mine with a rag a but before install.
Looks good, we need to get together and get faceshitted soon |
Re: Project Stormtrooper TK1204
Car started acting up today. It's like it's misfiring and just wants to die while cruising or even when in boost. It bogs down like it's hitting fuel cut. When it was sputtering I would step on the gas and nothing but sputter, but it would go into boost. I let off the gas and just let it do its thing til it was "normal" again. Parked it, started it up and it died right away. Started it again and tried to see if my stock intercooler pipes came off, nope. Let it idle for a bit and it stuttered like how it was for a bit then all of a sudden, everything worked again. Drove it around the block, boosted fine, idled fine, part throttle was fine. 1/4 throttle was fine. Then it all came back but not as bad as earlier in the day when I met up with Goodhart.
So I went to Advanced auto and used their scanner and this is what I found: P1105 Fuel pressure solenoid p0443 EVAP system purge control valve circuit P0505 Idle Control system P0110 Intake air temperature circuit P1104 turbo charger wastegate solenoid P0403 EGR Solenoid I know the FPR is probably bad because i have a 255 in the tank and need to get a afpr, okay easy. Sounds like other people with this same code are having issues that are close to what I am experiencing. The turbocharger wastegate solenoid, I have a MBC on there, no care. EVAP and EGR, emissions was removed. Idle control system, Could be another reason why it's doing what it's doing. IAT, would that also be a contributing factor as well? Anyway, I get to hold of a little longer til I try and get this h8 ecu reflashed. Anybody on here have experience with it on a 2ga? Do I need the 1g black cas? |

http://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...04272320_n.jpg
Relatively clean http://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...30840632_n.jpg Never again. So many damn bolts! http://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...43173338_n.jpg Finally out! After a whole days affair, I honestly didn't think it'd take that long but watching John from IPT helped A TON! Car runs fine now. I don't think my mas was plugged in all the way that caused it to hesitate. |
Re: Project Stormtrooper TK1204
Called that MAF shit.
|
Re: Project Stormtrooper TK1204
Went to the track hoping for 15.99. This is my first time racing and racing an auto mind you. I had a blast and I'm hooked! Extremely fun and addicting.
My times are as follows: 1st run Redlighted, couldn't hold boost at the line, crept forward. 60'... 2.665 1/4... 16.894 MPH... 81.51 All runs here on out launched at 12psi thanks to tips from brownman and goodhard 2nd run 60'... 2.259 1/4... 16.559 MPH... 80.17 3rd run 60'... 2.207 1/4... 16.420 MPH... 81.18 4th run 60'... 2.191 1/4... 16.228 MPH... 82.06 5th run 60'... 2.254 1/4... 15.739 MPH... 87.18 I DID IT! I ran what I wanted to on a stock t25, and the mods listed in this thread. I'm pretty happy I got that last run in. Now to go faster... |
Re: Project Stormtrooper TK1204
Congrats on making your goal!
The 60' isn't any better on the last run, why the vast improvement on ET and MPH in an auto? |
Re: Project Stormtrooper TK1204
Colder air? I have no idea. I had O/D on as well...weird right?
|
Re: Project Stormtrooper TK1204
That's crazy. I thought it had a 14 in it. At least you made your goal.
|
Re: Project Stormtrooper TK1204
Hmm goal should have been a 14 haha, but glad you got out there and got some practice!
|
Re: Project Stormtrooper TK1204
Remember it is basically bone stock too at only 12psi. We should have just unplugged you and let her buck!
Now let's get some piping and hook up that 14b and fmic! |
Re: Project Stormtrooper TK1204
Also LOL @ goodhard.
|
Re: Project Stormtrooper TK1204
Each run got incrementally better times. Looks like you did great for your first time out. Definately addicting, makes ya want a more local track even more now doesn't it :)
|
Re: Project Stormtrooper TK1204
Oh that last run you let it shift into OD?
You should of done that the whole time, pat looked liked he has a blast the whole time. Nice baseline runs, I'm sure he will be back soon after he gets all of his mods installed. Congrats on beating your 15.99 goal. |
Re: Project Stormtrooper TK1204
Update biatch. See ya in a few hours
|
Re: Project Stormtrooper TK1204

You a funny guy.
Update: 165-170psi across the board! |
Re: Project Stormtrooper TK1204
Very nice.
|
Re: Project Stormtrooper TK1204
Is that trans pressure or something? Thats a bad update.
|
Re: Project Stormtrooper TK1204
If that's engine compression numbers, sounds decent enough.
|
Re: Project Stormtrooper TK1204
Engine compression yes. I will update eventually...
|
Re: Project Stormtrooper TK1204

Re: Project Stormtrooper TK1204
So jelly of that E cover.
Also can't believe you got that trans cooler to fit in there completely sideways, you must have a lot more room in there compared to a 1G. |
