I mean not a scrap yard. I want to see it back on the road or the drag strip. I was hopeing Brandon would take it but I'm not getting my hopes up with him building a new houe and all.

It is pretty stripped. To run it will need motor, trans, wheels and ECU. to swap back to 5-speed it will need pedal asembly and master and slave cyl's I think I have shifter and cables still.

interior wise it needs seats, harnesses ( I have one out of date left) and headliner. still has door panels carpet full dash and cenet councel.

I think Katy would flip out if she came home and saw this sitting in the garage, lol.

Then again, she did just spend $300 on some vibrating weight loss thing...

It would be auto so you both could drive it!

Re: 90 Laser Shell / FWD auto drag shell

This could be a fun project if some people want to go in on it together. Start basically from scratch, build it strictly for the track. FWD Auto drag queen.

If some people were interested in doing a kind of "team" build with this chassis, I might be down with that. Just can't keep it at my place.

Re: 90 Laser Shell / FWD auto drag shell

I don't have a place to keep it either. :o(

chumpcar?

carltalon 02-19-2012 03:28 PM

Re: 90 Laser Shell / FWD auto drag shell

I'd even be willing to donate it to a team efort and help work on it. but dont have room for it either.

Re: 90 Laser Shell / FWD auto drag shell

I have room.

Re: 90 Laser Shell / FWD auto drag shell

Oh snap son! could we be forming a race team right now?

I think so!!! But if I'm involved in this, then i can sell mine!

Re: 90 Laser Shell / FWD auto drag shell

If you guys go down this path, but be realistic about the amount of cash investment it takes to build the car, buy the suits, get to the races etc. As it will likely be much higher than initially estimated. Also be realistic about the amount of time involved.

Also make sure the AIV will actually work within the ChumpCar rules.

Re: 90 Laser Shell / FWD auto drag shell

Lets build a low budget drag car.

carltalon 02-19-2012 09:08 PM

Re: 90 Laser Shell / FWD auto drag shell

I wouldnt have time to do mutch racing or money to invest. But I still like the idea. Chump car wouldnt work out for me but it would be pretty cool to see the car do that way.

hummm I also have the garage space.... I'd be tempted also for a Rally X or Ice Racing car as I have the Auto X car already.

I'd be on board for this. Low budget drag car. Time and money are tough right now, but low budget would be doable. Just a low budget 16g setup, fwd auto, and make it as light as possible.

Re: 90 Laser Shell / FWD auto drag shell

I'd strap my nitrous kit on for this too if we really wanted to move and once I hit my goals with the EF1 I'd put it on here too. I have a couple of extra 1G intake manifolds, maybe 1 extra 2g intake manifolds and an extra 2g head.
