Wasn't me as the car has been in my garage now, having crap ripped out of it, for about 30 hours now. Last time I drove it was Tuesday night.

Must be a clone.

Good to see you planning on keeping this a street car.
11s will be easy, i can't wait to see it on 13Ts. Good luck.

Very similar goals as me, oh how we grow up... Sounds like a perfect plan for that car!

I don't know about easy but I think do-able eventually. Unless money falls out of the money tree the car will be on evo injectors, s-afcII, FPR, fuel pump, E-85 for this spring to see how deep in the 12's I can get.

True true. The purpose built race car to drive on the street days are over!

K.I.S.S is a good motto when you want to enjoy the car instead of re-invent the wheel.

Only being the key word. 460 is a lot to make, then you need to get it to the ground. I just thought it was funny saying that 11's are easy. :rollinglaugh:

You have a good point. The 460 is on a dynojet and full weight. A good powerband may drop that down a bit. I know Ryan's went 11.4@120 with 420hp/460tq, granted that had custom gears and was lighter. If it was full weight and didn't have the gearing, I would have anticipated that car to go ~11.9.

Only time will tell. After this weekend, assuming good engine health, car should be low 13's.

I agree that 11's aren't easy, in anything.

Re: Lucky #13...Back in the saddle....92 rt/tt

Small update:

Did a boost leak test....... ....20psi in, 2psi at the gauge (hooked up my diagnostic 52mm autometer to the plenum). :score001:

Started poking around, rear o-ring and 1/2 the vacuum lines leaking like a zepplin with a bullet hole in it. Excellent opportunity to do the vacuum reduction mod/clutch booster delete mod. :sasmokin:

I decided I should change the drivetrain fluids to see if I can catch the "zip" into 2nd gear before it gets worse. Staring at the transfercase, it has the bolt in the cover (YES! :spin: )

Decide I should drop the t-case to look at the transmission to see if it has a 25 spline, being a Dec 1991 build date, there is a chance.
It is a 25 spline! (YES! )
The shaft is rusted to where the splines are like a butter knife (NO!! :violin: )

Good thing Ryan has a few parts left from his part-out. I will be introducing a new output shaft, t-case with quadco spool, and E2K brace this weekend, with new fluid, MBC, throwing a boost gauge in the glove box for now, vacuum reduction, and then leaving it alone until winter

Car has pre-cats still, leaving those in as those are my effective "mufflers" for now. I will toss on exhaust this winter and then gut those.

Before spring 2012 goals:
-Gauges in center dash
-Wideband
-Replace dash vents
-Re-cover seats (driver side has tear)
-upgrade fuel pump
-fuel pressure regulator
-fuel controller + logger
-injectors
-Exhaust
-E-85
-Good non knock-off tires

Cool. I'm not a 3si guy, so just curious, are there no other cost effective tuning options for that car which is why you're limiting yourself to an SAFC?

After you buy a 3S, how much do you have to invest in total to get it to the power level ryans car was at?

Hell no. Car doesn't even know what snow looks like as far as I know. It was delivered in CA, lived there for 5+ years, then moved to AZ, lived there for a few years. It has been in MN for about 10 months, mostly as a garage queen due to a few simple, but broken, parts.

Giant truck =daily driver in crappy weather, winter, when stealth is down.

Stealth = preferred daily driver when not being worked on and weather = good.

Essentially everything that works for a DSM (piggyback wise, no dsmlink) works for the 3/s, some better than others. The goal is to size the injectors larger than factory to compensate for the fuel difference, account for some headroom for the raised boost pressure, and pull signal to lean it out and bump up timing. Should prove to be entertaining and a challenge. Worst case scenerio is it doens't work, I sell the S-AFC and throw in an AEM.

The goal is as cheap as possible. Ryan's car was very simple from a modification perspective, except for the custom transmission work. Bolt on turbo's, bolt-on manifold, AEM EMS, fuel, clutch, exhaust, removed crap, FMIC, and pump gas.

My approach will be similar but trying to do it without the expense of the AEM for now. Eventually I'll go standalone, but I want to see what I can accomplish with minimal $$ invested.

There are other cheaper standalone options other than AEM if you're ballin on a budget... :)

edit - nevermind! that thing is AEM priced.

We arent talking about you old man!!!

Swanny, you should email the dsmlink guys I know a few were asking about it before and they are always looking to expand if there is a market.

Re: Lucky #13...Back in the saddle....92 rt/tt

The ARC is like a MAFT, it's going to have the same ignition timing problems as an SAFC. An AEM FIC 8 might work.

Tried the kind of brushed us under the table. The said the would work on it then they backed out for some reason.

Re: Lucky #13...Back in the saddle....92 rt/tt

Had my first loss in the car.
Ryan's Z06 > Swanny's Stealth RT/TT by a significant amount, LOL.

Maybe I'll add some goodies and try again spring 2012.

Decided to ditch the piggyback idea, rather have complete control with the AEM, it's a long term project and I can take my time buying the parts I want :)

Starting to formulate the mods list for this project. :news:

I scored a great deal on a rear 02 housing/ pre-cat eliminator. Anyone know where to sell my pre-cats (catalytic converters) for top dollar? Both are intact still.
