Paintball-Feeler

I just recently got back into the sport after a LONG hiatus and just the sheer talking of it seems to have garnered interest with people.

So I wanted to feel out if maybe we could get a group together to go play. Probably only need about 8 people to have a decent turn out, but more the merrier.

Let me know if there are any thoughts on it and maybe we can set something up this summer. If there isn't enough interest then meh.

Re: Paintball-Feeler

depends on what kind of paintball. I love playing a good woods course with a group. but not that big a fan of speedball anymore

Febo 04-19-2011 11:57 PM

Re: Paintball-Feeler

I'm thinking if its only like 8-10 people probably just stick to some kind of speedball, if we can get like 12+ then woodsball would be cool. Small teams in a woodsball setting would just kind of suck if the course was too big.

I'd probably be down. Haven't played in like 6 years.

I'll put in a vote for speedball. :)

Re: Paintball-Feeler

I'd play, I would suggest action packed paintball games in Jordan. Jim has a bunch of different fields from speedball, urban to woodsball and fairly good pricing with rentals available.

Ok. So we got like 10 people so far that are down so I will start planning something. I'm not entirely sure on when. Anyone got any suggestions? Maybe like june/july since there are the events in may that will eat up cash supplies.

Re: Paintball-Feeler

nothin wrong with speed ball but it definatly isnt for a random group. first off gun quality really plays a difference here and unless they have been into the sport they wont have great equipment. Sprying paint and dropping cash for it aint for everyone. I just want the most amount of people having te most amount of fun. WOODSBALL

I just like hearing noobs whine, that's all.

The first dozen times or so I played paintball was all speedball, I didn't know any other way and was forced to hit the ground running. Woodsball seemed extremely "easy" after that, haha.

Re: Paintball-Feeler

My first time ever was speed woodball (speed ball in pine trees). Thats kind of what I continued to play there after for a long time. Funnest shit around IMO.

We can focus on woodsball but I'm sure those of us who want to get in on a quick round of speedball or two probably could while others rested and what not. Both courses I was looking at have grills and stuff for whipping up weiners and what not.

Badass, Go Febo, Go Febo, GO!

Depending on the date if it's early June I might be in.

Febo 04-21-2011 12:35 PM

Re: Paintball-Feeler

Well I will see what happens.

So far since woodsball is the preferred style I'm thinking we should hit either:

MN Pro Paintball's fields
or
Action Packed Paintball

So far pricing looks to be between $30-40 per person for a couple hours of play, free air, and gun rentals if needed. This does not include paint.

Paint according to the websites is $20 for 500 at Action packed and MN Pro
Cases are $65 for 2000 at MN Pro, but there is no case price listed for APPG.

I'll check it out more in the upcoming time. For now chew that over.

Re: Paintball-Feeler

Is field paint required at either place?

Febo 04-21-2011 01:17 PM

Re: Paintball-Feeler

Field paint is required at both places, and as far as I know of, almost all places.

(Field paint being paint you must purchase AT the field, in case someone reading this doesn't know)

Re: Paintball-Feeler

The last few times I've gone, have been with a good sized group, 20+. They've generaly givin us a group discount. Just a few bucks off but enough to check anyways.

Febo 04-21-2011 05:21 PM

Re: Paintball-Feeler

This is what I am hoping for. So if any of you have friends to drag along with as well maybe I can haggle a better rate.

Also, keep in mind both of these courses are south of the cities. One is in Lakeville, the other is in Jordan.

Re: Paintball-Feeler

So uhh, how far did you get on this Febo?

I know the owner of this place. Maybe he can hook us up with a deal. It has all the fields we could ask for...

If this has died lmk and I can ask when I'm out on pricing for groups when I'm there for those that want to go still lmk.

Re: Paintball-Feeler

Like I said. June/July. So it is getting closer here. I will try to get some time to make some arrangements on this. But if anyone can get arrangments easier (i.e. team sponsorship) then throw it out there and lets work together.
