Looked interesting, until the fighting started. Then it looked like every other spray and pray hyper ADD console bs game. Wish they would make a more realistic shooter one of these days ala operation flashpoint with realistic bullet physics but on a beautiful looking engine like this. That would never sell though.

BF2 is an amazing game. This game is practically better than most of the COD games by sound (BY FARRR), graphics and gameplay. Basically modernized Halo gameplay. It sucks because my PS3 broke RIGHT before BF2 came out. The game is definitely fun to listen to.

Looks like a sweet game. I'm also looking forward to Homefront and Fight Night Champion, but I'm not exactly a big gamer like many of you, I don't even play online :lol:

Same. I never have been into COD because I am so used to Counter Strike. You can't react with two joysticks like you can with a mouse.

I'm assuming this is for PC and not console?

I've been known to occasionally break out my BF2 disc even now. Hopefully this'll stand the test of time like its true predecessor.

That said, I'm pissed I'll have to upgrade my rig, I've been trying to put that off as long as possible.

The CoD series was born and raised on the PC, but that doesn't mean it wasn't stupidied to death over the years to be spoon fed to the console gamers...

Werd. I fell in love with BF1942, played competitively online and all that jazz. I could never get a firm grasp on CoD for whatever reason, the BF games always felt better to me.

Battlefield, unlike CoD, is all the same developers in a small shop in Sweden. No internal drama, all good and close friends doing what they love. These guys have their shit together for sure.

The physics engine in Bad Company 2 is absolutely amazing and this is supposed to be even better. Fuck console FPS gamers, they are a discrace to the whole fucking franchise. I'm just happy that DICE has decided to cater to the PC gamers, all the other studios should get a fucking clue.

The problem is that there's more money in console games than in PC games. The days are gone where Johnny B with his $200 desktop can play anything on the market.

Yes FPS is better with keyboard and mouse, obviously. But without supporting the consoles the devs would have about 80% less money to work with.

Yes that's the main reason consoles get more attention. Which is also whey I have so much respect for DICE. They've even said they're not taking ANYTHING out of the game in regards to getting different ratings and whatnot.

Wouldn't hurt, I'm running a 5770 with a Core 2 Duo E8400 and it plays games decently well with graphics turned pretty high.

Woo!!!! Battlefield!!! The first FPS game I ever played on PC (1942) and loved it. This is going to be awesome. To bad my computer wouldn't be able to handle it.

I'll probably do a basic upgrade (processor, RAM, video(x2?)) and call it good. Also should think about getting a small (<500GB) SATA drive at that point to replace the IDE primary I've got now since I'll be reinstalling the OS anyway.

I have an AMD Athlon II and 8 GB Ram, I just really will need a better video card now. 5570s are pretty weak, but at least that is an easy upgrade.

This game makes me glad I just upgraded my computer, now I can put it to use mwuahaha!

Yes, I can't at my place (I moved) but we'll figure out a place to host one :D

Also I JUST upgraded to an i7 950 @ 4.4GHz with SLI'd 460GTX's and I'm scared it won't be able to play it (at least in high) but we'll see. Bad Company 2 was done very well and the new physics engine is 64 bit only and the graphics engine no longer supports DX9. So this is definitely going to be optimized.

Traded in a few of my old PS3 games yesterday to put down money on a few different pre-orders. This game doesn't come out until September?? Lame.

So I pre-ordered Homefront and had enough money leftover to pick up the new Fight Night, only had to pay $3 out of pocket because of the trade ins. $3 games FTW. :D

Where did you wire tuck everything? I bought an HPE 410y, six core, 8gb ram, 5570 video card, keyboard / mouse and a 20 inch monitor for 900 bucks on 18 month financing from bestbuy... so nothing amazing...

But I opened that bastard to hide the wires today because you inspired me and there was NO WHERE at all to tuck them. It has a ton of open room too, hardly anything inside the care was taken up. Huge upgrade potential I guess...

It's a NZXT Phantom case that has wire routing in the back (behind the motherboard tray). All the hard drives face the back instead to the side so the wires go back there. I got custom white wire extensions for all the video PCI-E cables (5 total since I have 2 SLI and an 8800GT for phsyx).

They sell the case in multiple colors and run around $130 new the cables were a bit expense and cost about $50 for the set.
