Re: Fuel System?

twin 255s, Aeromotive FPR, FIC 1850's or 2150's.

Re: Fuel System?

Unless you have a 100-150shot of nitrous that turbo won't make 600awhp at DB.

100-150 less I presume...

Re: Fuel System?

hmmmm well solid 500 would not be bad to shoot for....

Re: Fuel System?

Maybe 500awhp. I think I had one hit around 500 once. My 1G has an SC6152S, which should be capable of more the SCM6152 with the bigger S-cover and the bigger T3 exhaust housing and it hasn't been able to hit 500awhp yet. Most of the SCM61 cars with E85 and all the needed other mods usually make in the 440-500awhp range. 600+awhp is usually 40+psi range on the big turbos and 35+psi range on the massive turbos.

Details on what car this is would help.

Re: Fuel System?

well the car is sitting with built internals and an fmic i have not picked up the turbo yet or begun with bigger injectors i am aiming for a goal and taking it one mod at a time to make that goal

Re: Fuel System?

How do you tell the difference between scm61 and sc61. I was told my turbo is a scm61. It has a 3 inch inlet and a mitsu flange.

1G or 2G?

1G? 2G? Evo 8? MX6 like it says under your name? Pinto?

If it's a bolt-on for a Mitsu manifold then it is an SCM.

Re: Fuel System?

2g talon awd

SCM means MITSU exhaust housing. an SC one will usually be in a T3 housing.

Re: Fuel System?

2g awd might be tricky to do a twin in tank setup because the sending unit piece is a lot of plastic. You could get the fancy full blown dual in tank piece. Or you could do something like an intank 255 with a KB Boost A Pump.

Shane@DBPerformance 09-15-2010 10:30 PM

Re: Fuel System?

Walbro 255 HP, 1350cc injectors, Kenne Bell Boost-A-Pump. Should be good for 540awhp with those injectors. Might consider changing the fuel line from the top of the fuel filter to the rail, just to get rid of the banjo bolt that goes into the top of the fuel filter otherwise the rest of the lines and the stock FPR should all be fine.

Re: Fuel System?

I know I'm late to the party, but 600 at DB lmao.

Serious note, that banjo bolt on the fuel filter has proven to be a huge restriction and should def. be replaced with some straight/normal sized fitting to help get the most out of your fuel system.

Re: Fuel System?

ok can someone explain the banjo bolt removal? like what to do and what it does exactly?

asshanson 09-16-2010 04:16 PM

Re: Fuel System?

Instead of the banjo bolt, use a 12x1.25 to -6 AN adapter. The 12mm threads into the top of the fuel filter, the -6 on the other side will go to the feed line to the rail. Then you just need the -6 to fuel rail adapter. BTW, I just found one in my box of parts after moving (the -6 line and rail adapter), if you want it. It's off my old talon, you would just need to buy the 12mm to -6 adapter from somewhere like summit.

Re: Fuel System?

There's actually a nice tech article over on Tuners explaining it with pics if you aren't too sure about it all. Tells you all the fittings you'll need and what-not. I'll try to find it and link it here.

There ya go. You can see in one of the notes which fitting works for the stock filter to adapt it to fit a new feedline. And he thanks user me612 for the tip, guess who that might be :)
