Ahh, I thought it was coming out in the theaters. So this will go alongside my Rush concert DVD's then. I pop one in about once a month when the wife and kids are gone. 61" HDTV, surround sound=mintness.

I agree mostly. Terry Bozzio is good but his style of playing is ghey.

Yeah, IMO all of the off time "tricks" he does in order to sound abstract and unique get really excessive and annoying.

I think Joey Jordison is pretty decent, Or Jordan Mancino from AILD, along with Niles Drummer George Kollias as far as super fast playing

George is quite fast, but his style sucks. Pretty darn skilled though. basically just with the kick. And of course everyone's favorite (puke) blast beats.

Jordan Mancino, same thing. haha. I like George a lot more.

Joey is the best out of the list. Now only if he would stop using the cheesy tilting set, and learn how to tune so all of his tom's don't sound the same and lifeless he would be way better.

^ I don't hear really anything non-generic for that genre. He's definitely solid, but he sounds identical to the BFMV drummer if you ask me.

Examples of drummers who you can instantly tell who they are by hearing them, they're also AMAZING.

Those are definatly both awesome. As for the fact of jordan being generic yea thats pretty true. I just like their "sound" more or less its production.

Just got my Bluray copy yesterday. Great movie/documentary of the band and how they transformed over the years. Very cool to hear from them how they approached their music through the years and when even they thought they had gone to far and had to pull back.
