Re: dsm link hp record?
I wouldnt really pay much attention to the HP on link.
I'm only puttin down 350's to all 4 at DB and link says i hit 466. What is fun to look at is 0-60, 0-100, and 0- i'm scared! |

Re: dsm link hp record?
I don't know if there is a limit. You're not restricted by a MAF anymore, you can get 2200cc injectors since you're limited to four and everything else is just tuning. The sky's the limit.
|
Re: dsm link hp record?
Links not limited to 4 injectors anymore either. A few are running up to 12.

Re: dsm link hp record?
On V2 I think MAP was up there as far as records go with the blue 1G. But with V3 now, skies the limit as Steve said. Max that baby out and see what you can put down !!!

Re: dsm link hp record?
I've still got v2.5 so I'll be updating it soon!

Re: dsm link hp record?
New record:
car made 1033hp/658tq STD it made 1021hp 651tq uncorrected and 1007hp 641tq SAE, so no matter what way you slice it. |

Here's the dyno sheet:
http://i630.photobucket.com/albums/u...si/1033std.jpg Datalog showed 93 lbs/min and 47 psi (spiking to 49). It's not everyday you're staring at a 1000 WHP Link log. Pretty sweet. :) |
Re: dsm link hp record?
^ that car must be on a real ragged edge tune to be running almost 13's for afr up top.

Re: dsm link hp record?
The car was out of injector. they bumped up the boost to break 1000 hp.
|
Re: dsm link hp record?
IDC went to 103/104% for a few seconds.

Re: dsm link hp record?
Link to thread where the dyno and numbers came from?

Re: dsm link hp record?
You could. I wouldn't, but if you are building a max effort car, then you do whatever. Too many people try to copy drag style 1 hit tunes, air fuels, boost levels, etc on street cars and end up with boom. The shit you can do with a true drag only or standing mile car that is gone over every pass, fuel quality monitored, tune monitored all the time, etc is different than what you would do on a street car that fills up at whatever gas station and needs to run in changing weather conditions. And I don't know how many videos and posts I have seen of DSMs and Evos on the interwebz where they said it was on E85(because people have heard of it), when I know that the car is really on E98 or a Mix of E98 and C16.

Re: dsm link hp record?
^You raise a good point.
While a lot of these dudes start as hobbyist's at the mile stuff, these guys aren't noobs and the assumption they are just taking their old 5-600whp cars and then building sick top end power mobiles for the mile is a little off, the monitoring equip in these cars would be retarded for a track car, that LSR/Mile 1G i went to the mile with was on an extreme budget but all the money was in teh Racepack, each cyl was logged/monitored for everything. |
