yeah so last night i got put in jail by some pig ass police.
i went by kasota to see if cops were there and sure enough they were and they pulled me over because they said i had sparks from my muffler hitting the ground :liar: :bs: turns out there was a warrent because i missed a court date last year. so they impounded my car and took me to jail. $500 bail and $133 impound fee later im out. I FUCKING HATE POLICE. there were two guys in there that had been beaten by the cops, the first was a black dude that was just sticking up for his girlfriend to a bouncer at the club, he got fucking beat to shit. the other guy was topo drunk at the club and got beat down in a dark alley by the police. I fucking hate minneapolis police. :fworld: :fworld: :fworld:

LightningGSX 04-18-2004 04:36 PM

Hennepin is a nice jail to be in, isn't it?

Raptor 04-18-2004 04:46 PM

You must like the jail thing, you are starting to be a regular.

Jana 04-18-2004 04:51 PM

LMFAO!!

Tom, seriously, I think it's time for you to just take it easy at home for about a year!

AJ 04-18-2004 04:59 PM

So you hate the police due to you not showing up for a court date and them doing their job. I am starting to get sick of hearing that shit. I won't stop anyone from saying it since it's freedom of speach, but gimme a fucking break. As for the other 2 yo yos in jail, did you ust take their word for what happened? I bet they are both great citizens.

Sorry if this sounds like I am directing it all at you Tom, you know I don't mean to, but due to all the shit our peers do these days it's not like their job is one I suggest as a line of work to anyone. Cops are killed every fucking day. Why? Cause they are the only thing keeping things normal and safe for everyone.

TheBlizzard 04-18-2004 05:06 PM

I think he purposely doesn't go to court and breaks laws so he can go to jail and get dates. They can't get away from him when they are in a cell for a whole night.

CRAIG

Raptor 04-18-2004 05:22 PM

AJ hit the nail on the head nicely with that response!

A//// Guy 04-18-2004 06:02 PM

I totally agree with Allan... there are soo many people on here that bitch about the cops when in reality its their own fault.

Yea some cops can be bastards but if you follow the laws you wont have to even talk to them...

whatever :blah:

2003eclipse 04-18-2004 07:16 PM

did you drop the soap on purpose again?

Iceman 04-18-2004 08:02 PM

"Don't got to kasota!"

1ViciousGSX 04-18-2004 09:38 PM

I think he missed his girl friend in there and had to go back crawling on his hands and knees. Not far off from what happens in there anyway, so the girl friend didn't notice the crawling part.

tpunx99GSX 04-18-2004 09:50 PM

i think it is bull shit how you can stand by these assholes that are racist pigs that make up laws just to meet their quota. i am very biased towards hating police because i have seen it NUMEROUS times where cops will abuse their power and not care what is going on. they are here to serve the public, not to make a big commision check. they made up the fact that my muffler was hitting the ground just to have a reason to pull me over. there is not one scratch on my muffler. I have my opinion from personal experiance and if you dont like it, well thats your opinion. there are a lot of things that are DEAD WRONG in this society and the police are one of them. you dont believe me that the police are racist and are on power trips, go to hennipen county correctional and count the white guys vs the black and other minorities. Its wrong how police feel that every black man is a crack head or drug dealer. its a shame that in these days americans are fighting against DECENT americans. I knew a guy that went to police academy and when he got done he served on the force for 2 years and left because he said the minneapolis police believe its "us vs them" not serving the public.
You have your opinion and I have mine.

The "us vs them" and racial profiling are unfortuntely true with the Minneapolis PD. Well, atleast the one that I road along with for a school project (friend of the family). She didn't bug one white person the whole time I was with, and only followed Latin-American people. She has been with "the force" for 15 years now. She may be biased because her first 10 were with the gang unit. Either way, I think most cops are good. I'm glad that AV cops pull people over for no reason. That only means that they have nothing else to do. The whole shooting the kid in the back thing that happened a couple years ago is BS though. I knew that kid, and to this day he is one of the top 3 smartest people I've ever met. He tought my psychology class a couple of times.

I think cops need to focus more on drunk drivers and theft more than anything else.

Kracka 04-18-2004 10:15 PM

I heard first hand from the cops mouth that he saw sparks flying out from under your car...I am not saying it was a good reason to pull you over at all, just verify that it was the reason. It sucks that it happened once more to you, but the time has come to take responsibility for yourself...with a warrant being a pretty big responsibility. BTW, tell your girlfriend to hide the 2-way radio next time, that was the cops big tip-off that you were going racing. As for being racist...I won't even go there, but think about if for a few minutes people.

Oh dude, by no means am I saying that all cops are racist. But I woul dbe lying if I said none were.

john 04-18-2004 10:37 PM

I have no problems with any cops except the ones at uni. They all seem on power trips. I was with a few friends last week and a cop came up to us and checked us over. No reason at all. We were just sitting in a parking lot alone (no racing or racers). Just one damn car in the lot (us). James (ghettostyle) recieved 7 tickets in the last 1.5 months of the uni season (last year). He went to court and got out of 6 of them as he did nothing wrong for them. They are just assuming people will pay them. I guess it didn't help that he was in a ricer integra (probly thought he was a minority). I hate the cops who try to push you around. There are several times where cops have told me to move and get on my way. I was doing nothing wrong. One time I didn't leave as the reason he gave was a lie. He gave us disobeying a lawful order tickets and made us go to court and get out of them. That is what I hate about SOME cops. Those people who hate cops, what would you do without them?

do you know the guy that was one of the police officers. because if there had been sparks coming from under my car, tony would have said something to me immediatly and i would have corrected the problem by raising the rear up some more. if you did talk to the cop he was lying to you, tony was driving behind me the entire time we went cruising and would have told me. as for the warrent i honestly didnt know there was one for me. i didnt realise i had even missed the court date.

AJ 04-18-2004 11:37 PM

The cops on Uni have to be the worst. Look at all the shit going down. Guns, street racing, and overall just lack of concern for that area of St Paul. People live there. Children play and walk in those areas.

They have the whole city on their ass thanks to the "street racing community". Nuff said. So it doens't make stuff right, but if people want to make a differance get into politics. After a week you might get why it's all bullshit.

LOAF 04-19-2004 02:32 AM

Sorry to hear you had to spend the night in jail, but you bring this on yourself. It was not the cops job to keep track of your court date. The cop probably indeed lied about his cause to pull you over, but think about where you were. You were at or on your way to a street race, last time I checked that is illegal. If you insist on being at street races you need to learn to deal with the fact you will be pulled over and yes they will manufacture a bullshit reason for the stop. I am not saying that it is right, but look at what they put up with.

As far as your 2 boyfriends in the cell go, it still only is one side of the story. Who is to say they did not try to punch or run from the cops(you wouldn't know the diffrence). With the MPLS police under constant fire from community leaders like Spike Moss, how are we to decide who or what to believe these days? As far as I am concerned the community leaders have made MPLS police into the biggots they are.

Enes 04-19-2004 10:12 AM

Police has no idea if you are going to pull a gun on them, run them over, or harm them. They all have experienced that i'm sure more than once.

I've been pulled over many many times, i've never been miss treated by them so i can't give the bad side of the story here. I've always treated them with respect, and have gotten nothing less than that from them. Be nice and listen to what they are saying, do not be a smart ass and mouth off to them, that just gives them a reason and ticks them off to pull out the ticket book and start writing every little thing.

I've gotten away with a lot of shit, tinted windows many times, front plates even more, cover over the rear plates, speeding even 10 or 20 over the limit and i've gotten out of it. How? i don't know but one thing i sure as hell know is i was honest with the police officer and given them the respect they well deserve given their job duties and responsibilities.

There are so many bad people in the world and they do not know if you are one of them or not, so give them a chance and show them you are not one of the bad people by respecting them more and in turn they will respect you back and they will beleive you are one of the good guys out there.

Goat Blower 04-19-2004 10:23 AM

This thread is fucking stupid. You play the game, you pay the piper. Don't take care of a warrant, you're going to get caught eventually. And if you believe the word of some drunk sitting in a cell, you are dumb.

Excellent point Enes!

Tom, you have to realize that unfortantely in the F&F world we have today, when you do shit to your car you are going to attract more attention to yourself. And if you want to continue to go to street races, expect to pay the price.

I don't have any problems with the police. I went through my D-bag stage and got over it. You get what you give and that needs to be respect full and fast when you are dealing with an officer of the law. When you figure tha out your life gets a lot easier when you do get in small bits of trouble.

BTW who was that who was looking for all that help last year when given a bunch of fake benjamins. I believe that person was called a name that would sound like a quote from a racist officer by the robbie.

I used to have a roomate that would say 'people who live in glass houses shouldn't through stones'.

Raptor 04-20-2004 01:47 AM

Good memory Eric, I remember a few ratial slurr's emanating from his keyboard also, as always things like that get forgotten. Maybe if Tom gets his house broken into and a relative taken hostage, he can call on the help of his two new found inmate boyfriends since cops are just out profiling and being all racist anyway.

tpunx99GSX 04-20-2004 10:25 AM

ya know what, after thinking long and hard about all the shit ive gone through in the past year, ive finally decided that i will no longer be street racing. i say FUCK IT. Fuck the police if i never talk to another one again i will be a happy person.
you shouldnt see me at uni for a long time, unless im just cruisin, its not worth it for me anymore. ill go to the track but thats it, no more organised street racing. its been fun guys but im done.

Most recent insident was the police's complete disregard for saving of a human life in yesterdays Police chase.

Yesterday a Father elegidly kidnapped his baby and the police then fallowed on a high speed purcuit. When the police finally caught up to him on a bridge it resulted in them making him loose control and hit the Cement wall.

The baby wasn't restrained and if it wasn't for the air bag that custioned the babies impact it would have been dead. But who know's what damage was done regardless. Any baby that get's into an accident can't be good. I'm supprise it doesn't have a broken neck, etc.

Honestly I hope charges are brought up against the police. Why cause it's just like the law suits for Mal-Practice for Doctors. The police could have and should have handled it differently.

Someone just told me about another police chase that just happened where an officer his a child that was walking and killed it.

There was the incident in Apple Valley where a police offiver went speeding through a red light and hit a Pregnant women killing both the mother and the child.

Honesty we need to impletment stricter laws that are more defined that way the police can't just through crap out there because the laws were writen so loosely you can apply them to anything you feel like.

We also need to change the punishments to be harsher. The freaking "Hatch" Daughters are a prime example. they fought the police, kicked out squad car windows. And oh that's write because there father is the attorney General - they are home now and more then likely will just get a slap on the hand. Just like all the other Celebrity BS/Corrupt Government officials.

Kasota is a Public Road. It's is a way to get from Point A to Point B. Regardless If I was driving my concord down there I would be let through. But if I was driving my Eclipse I would recieve a ticket.

Did I do anything different No. I just changed the car I was driving. It's not right period!!!!!! the people that got pulled over a few weeks back that were leaving and got pulled over and recieved tickets is complete BS.

If the cops are able to manufacture punishments from Crimes they "THINK" Happened then honestly I will not blame anyone who acts out of place with a police officer. I know I mouth off all the time. But "FUCK THE POLICE" when you need them they're never there. Plain and simple there is no money in it for them to do anything else besides traffic tickets. That's why they don't have as many police officers running around taking care of Thefts, Vandalism, Rape, Violence, bla, bla, bla.

Cause if they had the same amount of Focus on all those things things would be a lot different.

Enes 04-20-2004 11:22 AM

that is what pisses me off a lot..

i make a report of vandalism... they don't send out a police officer to the scene but they take it over the phone, because they are short on officers, but i drive down the road and they pull over my neighbor, 3 squad cars because her tabs expired by 2 days. and she gets 2 tickets for it.

now that is very logical..

Now I may be wrong because the only place I ever saw it was in the Ghostbusters and I don't think I was alive when it came out and have only seen it once. Sorry if I am wrong and to totally take this topic off track.

That's a good way to start but doesn't always work.

I don't start off getting mouthy with police. I'll always treat them as they treat me.

It's the whole treat others how you'd like to be treated - saying in my book.

IF they cock off to me and as Asswholes I'm not about to take it. If they are nice I'm nice, if they want to get it on bring it. I'm not tuff but I know the difference from right and wrong. If I'm in the wrong and I know it's an "Honest stop" etc.

I flat out admit to it, I'll except the punishement, straight up pay the fines with out arguments, but if it's there is no way in hell they did what they claim I'm going to stand up for myself.

I don't even know how many times I've had the whole Good Cop, Bad Cop thing happen to me.

Remember how fun/nice/Relaxed it used to be when they used to leave us alone?

We'd play frizbee, we'd play Football in the parking lots. Once they started hurding us into 1 area that's when all the shit hit the fan. Why it's because before we could all got an area where we were with people like our selves. So there was never any beef.

I've been pulled over many many times... hell even at gun point... but they gave me an explanation and apologized.

I've been puled over once in the truck.. going 65 in a 45... i saw them coming behind me.. flash the lights.. i saw one police officer coming up on the drivers side.. but i also saw the second one on the passenger side and unbuttoning the gun holder and puting his hand on it ready to draw it..

at that point i started talking to the one on the drivers side etc as soon as i noticed the other guy on the other side i rolled that window down as well... guess what hapend then.. the one on my side thanked me for doing that. i got off without even a warning..

i guess it pays off to be toughtfull sometimes....

the other time when i was pulled over at a gun point.. well lets not go there now.. :)
