I'd like to get the 240 out a couple times this summer. I'll have to see about getting some vacation time.

Do most people use tape for their numbers? If I wanted to pick up something magnetic then where/what would you buy?

Blue or green painters tape works excellent for a temporary solution. I bought my magnetic numbers from www.izoomgraphics.com and they are great to deal with and have a good product. Unsure where else online to use, any local sign shop should be able to help you out as well.

Yes, it must be listed. I don't know the identification for the Novice class (used to be SI for Special Interest, but that has changed) though you will for sure be in Street Modified (SM) when you leave Novice.

IMPORTANT UPDATE:
The dates for MOWOG 1 and 2 have changed.
Valley fair gave us late info that they are repaving parts of the lot this spring, and want to give the lot some time to settle. they offered us the following weekend, May 8th and 9th, and MAC gladly accepted.

Please update your calendars accordingly.

I'm usually there helping with the schools but I will be racing in the ChumpCar series at BIR that weekend. You guys will have a blast. If anyone signs up for the school and needs a car to drive, mine will be available.

Hey guys, there are a few spots open or the last few AutoXs of they year. Next weekend on October 9th and 10th should be an awesome event, at a very big open site.

Re: 2010 MAC/Met Council Autocross Schedule

Now with course map!
http://www.mnautox.com/forums/attach...6&d=1286229968
Note: Cones are not to scale, they were made big so you could see them. It makes the course look small.

The lot is ~400'x1200', this is the one of the biggest, if not the biggest open AX site in MN.

Wish I could make this, but 3 weekends in a row up there isn't happening.

Is this going on again this year right now? I might be interested in the CANTERBURY or midway days if anyone can do it and the dates are the same this year.

I raced in canterbury last weekend. I think there is one more event at Midway?

Re: 2010 MAC/Met Council Autocross Schedule

If I get my tranny fixed and can find the long battery hold down bolt for a 1g, seems impossible to do that. I will try to make it out to midway to find out how the fwd handles.

That's on the 9th?

I might be down. 2x 1g's at an autoX would be the lulz

Hey Paul, did Jeff do your alignment after you put in the active toe eliminators? He vaguely remembered doing it, but he thought it was my car.

and yes, the 9th. Wanna have a Street Modified F battle with me? :D

Yea Jeff did the alignment.... his main alignment tool of choice was profanity

Oh sure, why the hell not!

Re: 2010 MAC/Met Council Autocross Schedule

did you have any issues with the toe being off due to the toe elims? Turns out the collar protrudes just a bit too much from the trailing arm for mine... with the locknut in there I couldn't get the rod end in far enough and was getting toe-out. We had to take the locknut out and mill it down so we could get a couple more turns out of the rod end :)

If i pull the trailing arms out again, i'm gonna mill the insert itself down a bit.

Re: 2010 MAC/Met Council Autocross Schedule

COM event = be prepared to stand around for 12 hours and race for 12 minutes. Just a heads up

s1ngletracker 08-23-2012 11:37 AM

Re: 2010 MAC/Met Council Autocross Schedule

isn't that how all autocrosses are?

Shane@DBPerformance 08-23-2012 11:40 AM

Re: 2010 MAC/Met Council Autocross Schedule

Well, thats slightly better than drag racing, stand around for 8 hours race for 70 seconds.

goodhart 08-23-2012 11:45 AM

Re: 2010 MAC/Met Council Autocross Schedule

Not test and tunes. Many times test and tunes people can get in 20-30 runs if they want. Not 6 like the COM events

Actually, I did not. The toe was very neutral - I must have lucked out. With your eliminator and the RM rear bar, the car actually rotates when I tell it to.

Yea, that's unfortunately the case... I just was frustrated by my performance last time out so I want another crack at it.

s1ngletracker 08-23-2012 11:54 AM

Re: 2010 MAC/Met Council Autocross Schedule

I'm liking how my car feels, not gonna make it to BIR this year so i'd like to do an autox. 6 runs... whatever.

goodhart 08-23-2012 11:57 AM

Re: 2010 MAC/Met Council Autocross Schedule

From the one COM event and one MAC event I have been to, the COM event was just run very cumbersome, lots of down time between run groups, etc. lots of wasted time. I was literally there for 13 hours and didn't even stick around to work the corners for the last few run groups. (Yes, I was that jackass)

MAC runs their events much more efficient IMO.

s1ngletracker 08-23-2012 12:33 PM

Re: 2010 MAC/Met Council Autocross Schedule

ah... I just really want to run Dakota tech. Anyone run there before? Is it faster than a normal autox? The course they have there is really cool and seems to have good potential.

goodhart 08-23-2012 12:39 PM

Re: 2010 MAC/Met Council Autocross Schedule

DCTC is super fast compared to other auto-x's I've seen. In my old slow stock automatic wrx I was hitting 65-70 mph in the straights.

s1ngletracker 08-23-2012 12:47 PM

Re: 2010 MAC/Met Council Autocross Schedule

that's awesome. I think I'll put up with the standing around.

Yea it's like a mini road course. shame they put these orange objects everywhere to give miata's a chance...

Re: 2010 MAC/Met Council Autocross Schedule

DCTC is the most fun autocross course I've ever driven.

Shane@DBPerformance 08-23-2012 03:37 PM

Re: 2010 MAC/Met Council Autocross Schedule

I have run DCTC for the BMW driving clinics and it's like a mini road course. Running the Evo at 30psi was a mistake, 15-20psi would have been more than enough for how tight that course is.
