Re: Old Inventory Blow Out at Archer Racing
Wow, that thing looks pretty nuts. The day at your shop was a lot of fun. Drooling over race vipers was awesome.

Re: Old Inventory Blow Out at Archer Racing
Hmm, I'll have to check those fenders out in person. My 17x9's stick out exactly that much in the front and I'm torn between pulling the fenders or going staggered and getting narrower wheels for the front.

I made a mess looking at those pics btw, springing those brakes on us by surprise is like getting a 3 some by surprise and buttsechs.

Re: Archertsi's 2G Widebody
I think I seen pictures of your brakes on another forum, maybe link? Definately nice. I like the fenders too. My fronts stick out just enough that they rub. I may just try rolling the fender though. Obviouslly yours were past the point where rolling would help, ha.

The name Archer must not mean much to you guys then.....
That car is very cool. We need more 9.5 inch rims and viper brakes in our dsms..... |
Re: Archertsi's 2G Widebody
That looks amazing. I don't feel so bad for having 17x9 +22 on my Evo now. :)

Looks mean, I'm the ultimate body kit hater, so it's nice to see when body modifcations are done right.

What kinda jeep parts? Put them up in your thread so we can spread the word. |
Re: Archertsi's 2G Widebody
We need to see some 1g AWD's with 275s done up like that........
|
Re: Archertsi's 2G Widebody
Archer used to also race Jeeps in the 80's. A friend of mine from high school was a parts runner for them around 1990 and he was usually driving a red Comanche that was quick as hell. I'm guessing all their speed parts are for the 4.0L inline 6 that Jeep used for years. It's a bullet proof motor, but the factory exhaust mani's cracked all the time, so that header would be a nice upgrade for most Jeeps.

Re: Archertsi's 2G Widebody
BTW, I've worn out my old Archer T-shirts, I better stop up by there and get some new ones. :sasmokin:

Re: Archertsi's 2G Widebody
Well i never really wanted a project thread because I wasnt going to show it until it was done. One of the mods started this thread for me.
It's 85% done, all metal parts are painted and bolted back together, 4 base coats, 5 clear coats and hours of wet sanding and buffing. The plastic stuff (bumpers and side skirts) need to be shaved and painted. Hope to have it at the cook out or one of the car shows/dyno days. |
