Only thing thats cool about the colt is that it used to be light. I bet this thing weighs a lot, and its super ugly.

there is a ton of parts out there for it already and the ralliart one looks a ton better as a hatch. but they are alot bigger than Ali's hatch

If the ralliart is fairly quick it would be neat. I like ugly fast cars so why not.

Looks like a 4 door smart, gross. Are those 185 series tires? They look like donuts.

For a minivan, its not bad......... barf.

Re: The COLT returns to America!

I don't think they look THAT bad. If the US edition is awd, turbo, and lighter than the evo I can see them being pretty popular.

What do you mean "the ralliart version?" That was an internets blog and the writer was trying to "hint" to Mitsubitchy that it should make some version of that. But why in the world would they do that when it's competition is the smart, a similarly underpowered and over hyped minivan?

Re: The COLT returns to America!

Hmmmm. The 2 door looks better than the 4 door... but what is mitsu's new obsession to make everything look like an Evo from the front?

This is the 2010 Outlander.

TKR's link was from Ralliart Australia's web site. That doesn't mean they'll bring it here, tho.

That would be called corporate grills. It's the most retarded thing since allowing republicans in office.

UPDATE: U.S. bound Mitsubishi Colt will be an all-new global small car

by Jonny Lieberman (RSS feed) on Dec 3rd 2009 at 3:20PM

Yesterday, we reported that Mitsubishi is bringing its small, B-segment Colt to our shores. And that's true, mostly. What we've learned between now and then is that Mitsu isn't bringing over the current Colt, but rather the replacement for the current Colt, i.e. the next Colt. In fact, Mitsubishi Motors Corp. President Osamu Masuko said as much during last month's Tokyo Motor Show. Here's what he told Automotive News:

"Mitsubishi will follow that with a global small car in 2012. That car will be smaller than the Colt, which is sold in Japan and Europe, and will have a 1.0- to 1.3-liter gasoline engine. A plug-in hybrid version and all-electric version of the global small car are scheduled for 2013. Mitsubishi is studying which of those would best suit the United States.

The scoop, then, is that this new global small car will be called Colt. As opposed to say, Havasu.

1,100 kilogram = 2,425.084 884 pound

According to the video.

so in the end the US will be screwed just like always when they redo car and send them here with a much smaller engine

Yeah, I was thinking a used Cooper S for a bit more than that. I doubt that the price point on that Ralliart would satisfy me.

Well maybe not new. Id never buy a brand new car though, unless I were loaded. A used TL or G35 would probably be my DD choice.

Its a bummer. The US has kinda gotten hosed with small decent fast cars in the past so Im sure this wont be any exception. Escort Cosworth, Old Evos, ect.

It may be ugly, but if its fast and works good thats all I care about. I like having stuff that people get suprised by.
