Since Scheides is too busy, or lazy (can't decide) I'll post up an OFFICIAL forum for those who are going. Tentative schedule is this:

AT 6:30 AM!!! Get your gas tanks filled up, snacks, etc. Should have E-85 there too. We will depart/caravan at 6:45 AM SHARP!! No late arrivals, otherwise you can play catch-up on the highway leading there. We hope to arrive between by 8am or so, to pass through tech.

DO NOT FORGET YOUR MONEY, they only take cash. Also, don't forget helmets. Make sure your cars are all ready, tightened up, locked down. Good to go!



Helmets (Snell 2000 or newer required for 13.99 or quicker), Seat Belts & Long Pants are Required -- No Shorts, Nylon Pants or Tank Tops Allowed.

All drivers must have a valid driver's license. For those under the age of 18, a Minor Release must be obtained and signed by your parents/legal guardians prior to your racing. Only an original Release is valid. Once the Release has been executed by the parents/legal guardians, the Release is good for the entire 2008 racing season. To obtain a Release please contact Jennifer at (715) 858-0170 or by email at jennifer@rockfallsraceway.com . NO ONE under the age of 18 will be allowed to race until an original signed Release is in the Track's possession.

IMPORTANT TECH UPDATE: Effective 1/1/09, the Snell K98 Helments are no longer valid for use in drag racing. Also as a reminder, the Snell 95 Helmets are also no longer be valid for use in drag racing. Please check your helmet and if you have a Snell 95 you will need to replace it prior to competing in any competition at any NHRA sanctioned racetrack. The Snell 95 and K98 helmets are expired and no exceptions will be made for use of this model of helmet if you are running 13.99 and quicker in the 1/4 mile or 8.59 in the 1/8th mile. Acceptable helmets are the Snell 2000 and Snell 2005. Please also remind your fellow racers to check their helmets as well!! Thanks.

I am going. Emily might come with and get one ride down the track before they kick her out for me going faster than 14.0 LOL. Now to decide if I keep on the summer tires or switch to winter tires.

Jim wants to move meeting time up to 6:30am so we get there early, get a good spot for our 'team MitsuStyle' pit (I'm bringing tent, cooler, etc and he's bringing trailer, grill, etc.) get through tech and get some runs in. Since this is my first time out, I'm following his lead and bumping up the meeting time. If you don't like it, we'll see you there!

Oh good call. I'll bring 4 spare plugs as well. I know I have a pile laying around somewhere. I should probably take out my sub and crap out of the trunk, along with my backseat just for giggles.

Seriously though, I'm bringing a trailer and I hate lines so I go early. It could be busy it could be dead but at least I know I have the most amount of time to get settled into the pits and have time to tech my car before time trials start.

I'm leaving no later than 6AM, I want to be there when gates open at 7:30am so I can get situated for the day. I'll get kicked from racing early I am sure so I want to have a good spot to relax and grill some food.

I wasn't planning on meeting anyone, Its just a 90 minute drive anyway. :D

I dont have a helmet, cutoff switch for my trunk mounted battery, and my crankcase breather system is quite open, although no oil leaking anywhere.

Get a switch quick and borrow a helmet if you want to run. I think they'll be more strict on those two. Probably don't care much about breathers or leaks on SC days lol.

And damn you all for leaving at 6:30, but I suppose it's for the better.

Jim, 6am?! We said 6:30 meet, 6:45 depart. Should we all just meet up, and meet jim there? or is everyone ok for meeting at 6 am? I really don't think it's going to be that busy, and even so, that's REALLY early to meet in woodbury. We'd be there before gates open, i would think.

I was up till 4:10 am working on wiring all that crap in. Logger won't work yet, but I did get the switch for the 2-step to work, atleast communicate, and see that the switch was working when the clutch was depressed/not depressed. Still gotta set those all up.

Put it on a charger. Went to fire it up this morning, nothing. Car won't crank. Battery voltage is just fine, but I dunno. Either starter is dead, or the amp fuse is blown..all I can think of. I checked the wires for the ECU too, but they are ok. I'll investigate more later I guess. Right now, i'm livid. Working all night, only to fail is NOT my way of ending the year. I'm tired, and now cranky. Fuckin cars.

Just got the call from scheides, we're rained out :( Now I'm glad I didn't leave at 5:45 like I intended because I'm already back home :)
Don't those track people know AWD has traction in the rain?! I'd offer my driveway for drag passes as an alternative, but I don't know how my new neighbors would feel about that.

I just got up :)

RF will cancel if there is rains during the night before the race day, they can't dry their track and they don't want to deal with rain outs and pissed off people asking for refunds so in my experience they just close. :(

So I launched my car on a side road on the way home (firsttime in 2 years with this southbend) and it held awesome, did not fuse to flywheel again, but engagement felt really soft afterwards...guess if it doesn't slip I'll just leave it, I'm guessing it will hold till spring if I don't launch it.

Thx for offering to bring the trailer Jim, guess I'll put the clutch money I had set aside towards a new ACD pump and maybe that COP setup :)

^what he said..cept, first time i've tracked the car. Found out why the fuse blew. I think the cut off switch, when I relocated it, arced itself to the car when I hooked up the charger. Either way, it's all fixed. I'm going to set it up, and launch it later, to see if it works, and such. I wanna race now damnit!

Jim, I'm really curious to see how they did the prius cop's for the evo..got pics of the boots and etc? They wehre hard plastic for the prius, not that rubber like the intrepid/300m coils. Why run that cop setup? You have ignition issues? Any driver box?
