OK the voting thread was getting confusing with who is going when. So I decided to just pick a damn date, and go with it.

This upcoming Saturday, 5/30 at Rock Falls. My g/f and I are going, so anyone else that wants to come, speak up and we can meet up ahead of time.



DATE : Saturday, May 30th
TIME : 7:00AM (7:15 departure)
MEETING LOCATION : TBA
COST = $40 to race, $10 to spectate

CURRENT FORECAST FOR SUNDAY IS T-STORMS. IF COME FRIDAY AFTERNOON, THE FORECAST FOR SUNDAY IS STILL THUNDERSTORMS, THEN SATURDAY IS THE CONTINGENCY DAY. I WILL POST UP FRIDAY LATE AFTERNOON IF IT LOOKS LIKE SUNDAY IS GOING TO BE RAINED OUT, AND I'M GOING TO GO SATURDAY INSTEAD

My g/f is going to be with me this time, so you might want to find someone else with more room. Or you can always cram into the little back seat :)

I've gotta work on Sunday, but maybe I could work on Saturday instead.

I'd love to come with but I don't think I'd go without a truck and a trailer, I don't trust my car that much haha. I want to see some quality videos from the track this time though, with a 10 second pass!

Well the weather forecast was looking fine, until today. They are forcasting thunderstorms on Sunday.

Come Friday afternoon, if they are still forecasting thunderstorms Sunday, I will be going Saturday because I want to get out there this weekend, and am not going in the midst of a storm.

So I added that to the first post. If come Friday afternoon, the forecast is still thunderstorms for Sunday, then Saturday is the contingency. For me atleast.

Well Sunday's forecast is still showing T-Storms, so I'm going tomorrow, Saturday the 30th now.

If all you guys still want to come out Saturday, or don't want to come, speak up and i'll take your name off the list.

Some others might be meeting at the Hudson McDonald's, I'm just verifying that right now. So that may be the new meeting point.

Sorry for the date change up. It's too bad, but I can't control mother nature :(

Weather.com has been showing Saturday as no rain, and Sunday as scattered T-Storms for the past 3-days for Eau Claire, WI and still says the same.

Weatherbug.com is also showing chance of t-storms on Sunday. I want to go this weekend. So since Sunday is showing good chance of rain, I'm going for Saturday since it seems like a sure thing.

I will no longer be able to attend this... My cooling isn't sufficient enough for my car and I ordered a radiator and the FAL kit for my car today...

What a beautiful day, and some real awesome cars out there today.

I'm definately getting more consistent now. I ran an 11.8 on the first run, because I let off soon as I hit 4th gear, because I didn't want to get booted that soon.

Followed it up with two 11.1's, and a last and best run of 11.0@133 before they told me I couldn't run anymore.

I had consistent 1.8 60' which I think is decent. But up top I was seeing a ton of knock, and pulling a ton of timing, and killling my top end, which is why I think I wasn't seeing better traps.

Overall though, I'm happy that I'm getting to be more consistent, and it was a ton of fun again!! I can't wait to hit up Brainard at MAP's event :)

Also, congrats to Kevin for running some great times with his new setup!

Had a good time, glad I went

First pass: 11.47@127mph/1.8 60ft I couldn't believe it!
2nd :11.9 125mph crappy 60ft
3rd :11.65 125mph crappy 60ft
4th :12.2 125mph crappy 60ft

My car basically doesn't launch hard, or have any low end grunt. I blame too conservative timing.

The launch control isn't the problem. I even tried Anti-Lag on two of the runs making like 15-20psi on the line. Maybe my pressure plate springs are worn.

Basically, my car doesn't make much torque period. I can't even spin the tires!

What RPM are you launching at? You aren't trying to spin the tires. If you spin the tires bad, then it will just shoot to revlimiter. Decent sized turbos are a lot harder to launch with than a small turbo though.

I will trade you some of my torque for some of your traction. Anyway you still got some good times. I hope to be at the next track day.
