Anybody down for some drag racing this weekend?

I'm pulling my motor soon and want to see what she can do on a low compression motor before I swap it.

It's a Win a Wally Fun Day on Saturday and a Sport Compact day on Sunday.

Anybody interested let me know!

I will be a spectator. Prob. going to go with Mike Standert with his evo and I know a couple other ppl that are gonna go and run there car.

Holy shit. I'm in :) I definately want to cruise down there with a group since I don't know where I'm going, and need some experts to show me the ropes as it'll be my first time to a track.

Also, if anyone has a spare helmet I could use, that'd be sweet... (Nash??)

My motor is getting tired and I'm sick of not making any power.

It's only getting a stock rebuild thrown in :D


I can bring a spare.

We could all meet up in the morning and roll out.

Can I ride with someone. I got a helmet..I'll let you borrow it if I can ride with. I'd race, but the car is down till PTE pulls their heads out their asses, and fixes my shit.

hmm. I might go. I still want to run with the new setup i have since i first got the car. I havent ran my car at the Rock for 2 years!! I really want to see what it can do.

I might go, depending on what actually comes up that morning. It's been 3+yrs since I've ran my car and Im kinda tempted to run just for the hell of it, but my main shaft bearing is making racketing noises. (I've the worst luck with trannies). I might just go spectate and watch my cousin run his subbie..maybe he'll even let me run it :D

Well I may be out now. Looks like I have a "no spark" issue as of this afternoon. If I can get it fixed by Sunday, I'm still up for it!

yep, $40 to run and $10 for spectators. which is alot IMO...I just really hope their track is prepped

Yeah it is alot for not so nice of a track.. Most tracks charge like $20.

I usually get there around 7:30 - 8. Give me time to let the car cool off from the hour drive..

Did we come up with a meeting place yet? Or a time?

Cars back up and running, so I'm in again.

I have no idea where this place is, or how long it takes to get there, but we should definately setup a meeting point and time.

Maybe something like 7AM and somewhere somewhat East...???

Well I know for most people Champs in Woodbury on Radio drive is always a pretty good central place, then you just jump on 94 and head all the way down. I might head over that day as well if there is going to be a few people there.

My coils died on me, no sparky. Put in a set of coils I got from Nick, and voila, she's alive again.

So who is going to be spectating in the stands? We need some video footage. Anyone got a camera? I'll bring my video camera for someone to use, but it's been acting goofy lately so if someone else has a nice one, it'd prolly be a better option than mine.

Swifty, you might be able to ride there with me, but you may have to lay down across the back seat because my cousin might be coming also. But you'd have to find a way to get to the Woodburry Champps, because I'm not driving down that South, that early in the morning, to pick anyone up.
