Well, i picked up the trailer, and towed two cars already today :) it was a breeze with this new trailer...
Now to make it even easier need to get a electric winch. If anyone has hookups or know of a cheap 3000LB winch with a 30foot+ cable that would be sweat!!! And now i need to have Mike weld me up a plate and a tool box up in there :) -E |
Hey Allan post up some of those pics you took! i will take some tomorow but you already have pics with a car on there :)
-E |
I will post them up tonight or tomorrow for ya. It's a bad ass trailor for sure and the gooseneck setup fucking rules.
Thanks for the towing the 2 cars today. Your da towing man! |
The best local deal I've seen is at Northern Tool. I got my manual crank one there, the electric is real nice.
Yeah it looks like i'll be buying a manual one for a while at least until the towing can pay for the electric one i'm not buying it until then....
-E |
It is a very nice setup E. At least I think there is less chance you will be drifting with my car on the back with your own trailer. Then again, you probably would. :3gears:
No drifto's with other people's cars on the trailer, only my car gets the special drifto treatment :) :3gears:
My dad runs a company that works with truck/van parts/accessories. He's very generous when it comes to 'hook-ups'. I'm positive he can get those kinds of things. PM me with details if you're interested.
He is indeed generous. :bounce:

Damn nice trailer man! Why did you go with that type of hitch system rather than the typical ball?
Probably setting up for something bigger down the road.
Gooseneck fucking ownz! You can back up in tight spots eaiser as well.
Love it E! |
Simply Badass.
NICE! For a secound there i thought that was my car they were towing away lol.
Well, its easier for towing, and easier on the truck, way easier on the drivetrain and suspension. Plus its easier to back up if you know, i got so used to backing up the other trailers that i totaly forgot how to back up a goose neck, so it will take some getting used to..
Its big enough for towing even 3/4 ton trucks.. the axles can support up to 12000 lb .. so i can even put Swany's 3S on there without worying about the weight :) Overall i'm satisfied with it, only wish it was about 19 feet instead of 22. but oh well. that gives me room to tow whole bunch of other things along with the car like a bike or spare tires, grill etc etc hint hint .. :) -E |
Mmmm, my DSM will get a ride on that some day. It cant wait I'm sure.
Yeah i'd like to get some towing done with it to help pay for itself or at least get some money back from it... i doubt it will be able to pay for itself within next year but you never know hopefully with this site and a few other local sites if you guys can spread the word that would be awesome :)
-E |
You know us E. There is always some dead thing being towed to the shop, you can move them all for us. We will put the word out as well.
I know of one car you can take from the shop and do whatever you please with it... :razz2:
Awesome set up E! And thanks again for the tow!
geez nash why did you need a tow, taking it to the body shop after you backed into Ryan down at Dodd? dont blame you though hes not the easiest to see of the rear spoiler!
So how do you have your pricing set up? I might need a tow.
Depending on the job, mostly its going to be $40 plus $1.5/mile
other places will charge you $60 to $80 for flatbed plus $2.50 to $3.50/ mile... So this way you are getting 50% discount. Plus we can always talk about pricing if you don't like it or think its too cheap i do definetely accept tips :) Edit: depending on the time involved of the job and if you are towing it to the few local shops ie. QPR or Elite for them to do some work on the car i'll alwys give good deals as long as it will give them work as well!!! gotta support the local businesses! I just got raped by the License thingamajiggy.. if i want to do it as a business they want tax off every tow plus extra licensing and also highway taxes or whatever frick she said.. it was going to be about $900 / year for this thing.. but then i told her its only personal and for friends.. (all of you are now my friends, like it or not) and she said then its not business.. and only charged me $350 ... something about dual axles etc etc extra weight and crap.. -E |
Enes is my own personal hero.
Badass!!!!! the only word to decribe it!
I hate to be noisy but I was wondering about how much thoses cost... (not yours but car haulers in general) also what kinda ram is that? 2500? gas, diesel? |

The one i got you can get for anywhere from dirt cheap starting at 2500 for a 16footer , but once you upgrade to 6 inch I beams, add better jack, better axles better tires, longer bed longer beaver tail longer ramps electric brakes, gooseneck hookup on the truck, electric brakes hookup, add painting as well instead of priming and you get the better paint, and then you add removable fenders for guys who have lovered their cars.. it adds up to somewhere around $5k, but i had a hookup from a guy that owed me a few favors... so i got it a bit cheaper. The guy that i had built doesn't do many on the side because he builds for the few bigger shops in the town, he sells around 1200 trailers/year. Thanx for referals, it is greatly apretiated guys!! Hopefully i get enough towing done that it pays off the trailer and maybe pays for some of my time and a few mods on the money hungry DSM. -E |
