This will definetly help our economy
Looks like the new powers are already at work giving away more money.

Re: This will definetly help our economy
I saw a good bumper sticker this morning:
"Annoy a liberal; work hard and be happy." |
Re: This will definetly help our economy

Re: This will definetly help our economy
Want to know how I know Jews are running the country? ;)
And that doesn't annoy me. But I do know how to annoy you neocons. OBAMA! He WON!!! w00t! old ass McCain and the retard palin can suck a big one. :D |
Re: This will definetly help our economy
After 8 years of good old "conservation" (lol), we have a new deficit of over 10 trillion dollars. Doing the basic math that is double the deficit in 2000. Are you really arguing over $900 million going to non-governmental charities, that will rebuild hospitals and schools? Really?

You should be getting your info from FOX NEWS not some liberal station like msnbc.
|
Re: This will definetly help our economy
FOX is just as right biased as MSNBC is left biased, everyone takes a side nowdays. If you want the closest thing to non-partisan, go to http://www.factcheck.org

Re: This will definetly help our economy
Exactly why you watch FOX... Because it is more right winged. Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck are heros to the people.
You didn't hear anything about all the pet projects and earmarks on CNN, this "stimulus bill" is just a way for Obama to pay back the people who helped get him elected. You could spend a MILLION dollars a DAY for 2000 YEARS and it still wouldn't equal to what this bill is going to cost. I feel deeply deeply sorry for my kids and their kids. People need to realize we are in this reccession because of Clinton, he is the one who thought everyone should own a house, even a McDonalds worker. He forced Fanny May and Banks into super risky mortgages. We had 6 out of the 8 years of a good Economy under President Bush until the housing Market started to collapse, thank Clinton. What happened to Obama preaching change and hope, what got him elected? Now all you hear him say is crisis and great depression. I hope everyone likes Socialism, it hasn't ever worked anywhere else, but we are almost already there... |
Re: This will definetly help our economy
Did you read anything I said? The real facts will be on factcheck.org You sound like you are on the Conservative FOX bandwagon. I myself like real facts, and not have to watch both sides of the argument and not have to sort through all the bullshit both sides throw out there.
|
Re: This will definetly help our economy
I will check out what you are talking about and yes I'm a conservative. Fox News is way more balanced however than CNN or NBC. I will admit it isn't super balanced but a lot more fair than those other straight liberal only stations.
Edit - BTW no one even had enough time to read the 1,075 page Spendulus before voting on it, what ever happened to Obama giving the American people 48 hours before voting happens to view it online? Yet another broken promise... |

Re: This will definetly help our economy
Honnestly what is 900 Million when we just spent 800 (B) Billion?
With the interest it will be about 1.3 Trillion dollars, not to mention inflation is going to go through the roof since we can't borrow the money from anyone so we will just have to print it our selves. Edit - Even if this truely does create 4.5 million jobs with the spendulus like Obama has been preaching, which it won't, it will cost the tax payers over $300,000 a job. More importantly it won't even start to create a significant amount of jobs until 2011... Which makes me wonder why it was SOOOO important to pass it ASAP. It was so that Obama could give them no time to read through it before voting so that he could sneak a bunch of earmarks in there. |
Re: This will definetly help our economy
What would these earmarks be that obama is sneaking in? Im curious. And it was important to pass it because if we had waited till 2010 to pass it, it wouldnt kick in till 2012, and so forth. The economy doesnt just bounce back in a month. It takes years for any big change to have a full effect on the economy. Especially when it is so down.

Re: This will definetly help our economy
Btw, I also want to point out one more major flaw in Dundars argument. The president doesnt generally slip in ear marks into the bill, if he even writes the bill. Its Congress and the Senate who add and retract stuff from a proposed bill. Obama says, I want 700 billion used for economic stimulus. I want it to go here, here, and here, and at these times, in this way. Here you go Senate. Then the Senate says, No, no, yes, yes, no, lets throw in this earmark for my babies mama's state so she can get a job, then congress gets it and does the same. Why wont people ever pin the blame on where it deserves to be pinned.
People losing their jobs are losing them because the CEO's of their companies would rather keep their 400k a year salary, then be a man, and drop a 100k a year off their income and save 30 jobs. Its retarded. |

Obama wants to get the census moved under the White House, never before has a president tried to do this.
If they have that much power over it they can easily manipulate the next election and the electoral states... |
Re: This will definetly help our economy
RLFebo, you sound like a socialist commie!
Maybe you should move to China where any protest isn't allowed, the government only tells you whatever they think you should know, getting rich by any means possible due to no regulations(including poisoning babies) is fine, the government has total control and can do whatever it wants or change the laws to fit it current needs, torture is fine, and only religions the gov likes are allowed. Oh wait, that's the current GOP's dream government. |
Re: This will definetly help our economy
So Im a socialist commie because I beleive moderation as opposed to make 30 million a year and let the workers under you starve? Hmmm, yeah I guess I should move to china.
I guess I just dont understand you extreme conservatives. Hell I just dont understand people in general anymore. I guess if your happy watching the rich get richer while you stay the same or get poorer then I guess Im the backwards one. Here I thought the american dream was to watch the rich get richer, and then catch up to the bastards and take their money in a coporate takeover. |
Re: This will definetly help our economy
If we would of done more tax cuts for all classes that would of helped a whole hell of a lot more then just spending more money at one time than ever in the US history.
But no, everyone is going to be getting an extra 13 bucks a week back from the government with these "tax cuts". Who's lining up to get flat screens? LOL! People need to realize that the rich create a lot of jobs believe it or not. This bill was equal to giving every person in the WHOLE WORD a check for 1,300, or paying off of 90% of the US mortgages, exactly what caused all of this. But no, we will just spend it on 20 million for a rat for Liberal Nancy Palocis state, etc etc etc. 3 Republics total in both houses voted for this bill. Edit - 92.5% of people pay their mortgages on time, we are just bailing out the 7-8% of irresponsible people and irresponsible banks that were forced into making those risky mortgages by Clinton. Most of those same people are driving new cars and what not. People need to realize nothing is going to last forever and have to live within their means in case they happen to lose their job. |

Re: This will definetly help our economy
Ill agree on that last statement 1Quick4, they dont care about us. And I was never one to say Bush was a nazi, just a dumbass who didnt beleive in constitutional rights. Thats all.
and Dundars Spend it on 20 million for rats for pelosi, or 50 million for Republican Sens. Orrin Hatch and Robert Bennett of utah. Its all covered under the same monies. And I hope your joking about the flat screens. Plus, who has a defaulted mortgage that you know, who has been forclosed on, and still drives a new car that they have a loan on? I know too many that dont. And the ones that do made sure not to lose their car. You can lose your house and live in an apartment, you cant lose your car. Cars arent a luxury anymore, they are a necessity. |

RLfebo-
I have a close friend whose parents were just foreclosed on, they split up because of it. They both drive new/newer cars and are in new houses with big mortgages already. |
Re: This will definetly help our economy
What do you define as new/newer cars? Do they make payments on them? And how did they each manage to get a mortgage already, and what do you call a big mortgage, especially since you have to hold that up to what they were paying.
|
Re: This will definetly help our economy
I like this Dundars guy. I don't even have to argue anymore. He can bring my points up for me! :)

Re: This will definetly help our economy
One is a 2005 Chevy Tahoe that I'm guessing isn't paid off, the other is a 2008 Acura MDX that for sure isn't paid off.
The wife is in a really new and nice detached town home that I would say is worth at least $250k+ in this market. I'm not sure exactly the fathers situation, haven't seen him since and I only know what he tells me. |
Re: This will definetly help our economy
That doesnt seem all that remarkable. Given a decent income and those situations sound reasonable. They dont seem to have gotten hit the hardest. Ive seen the bad, and it doesnt turn out that way. Its where the bank takes your house, and car, and ruins your credit. And this being that the economy was doing well, the jobs were there and paying, and then the economy took a shit, and the people I seen get hit had nothing to do with risky mortgages, they were in their mortgages well before the housing crisis. So I still feel it wasnt the housing crisis that created the monster, it was the monster that created the housing crisis.

Democrats response to if they read the bill or not was, "Well I had my staff look over it for me and report back." Who the hell did we vote for, them or their "staff"? Obama went from change and hope to depression and crisis in less than 20 days of being elected and got the bill passed within 30 days of being elected. That is CRAZYNESS! EDIT - Not to mention Obama wants to give states more incentives to put more people on welfare. Yay for hard working Americans, where dreams come true! |
Re: This will definetly help our economy
I forgot to mention, Obama is building a Fleet of Marine One Helicopters. By Fleet I mean 28, that is costing the tax payers 11.2 Billion Dollars.
Not to mention he wants a new Fleet of Air Force One 747's, and a new Fleet of Presidential Limos. Wonder what just his spending for new transportation for his four years is going to cost us Tax Payers. Liberals sure are quick to spread and spend other people's money. |
Re: This will definetly help our economy
Quote:
Read your sources, he's putting the helicopters on hold. But being that the helicopters are 30 years old, it is time for a new fleet. And again, link to your sources on these accusations. Seems like you have a lot of hearsay. Also I looked into the limo and I see no problem with him getting a fleet of tanks. He probably has a way higher assassination risk than bush ever faced. |
Re: This will definetly help our economy
I realize that the helicopters were put on order by President Bush but McCain brought up the idea to put them on hold and Obama hasn't said he will yet, only that he will think about it.
Edit - I'm sure he will eventually put them on hold from pressure from the American people, but I guarentee if this wouldn't have been brought up he would of never considered putting them on hold. Why do you think he has a higher assasination rate, because of his race? Pretty sure we have proved that racism is a thing of the past, his policies are what would get him assasinated. |
Re: This will definetly help our economy
To claim that its only his policies that will get him assassinated is a very ignorant statement. Racism is far from dead. It also doesnt help that the ignorance of this nation still has him veiwed as a socialist, as well as a muslim, and a domestic terrorist.
I mean honestly, what is so bad about his policies. You are so against the stimulus package, what do you propose to jump start a defeated economy? If not the government trying to get its people to get back on their feet, then what? |
Re: This will definetly help our economy
No one has to pay taxes for 8-9 months, boom problem sovled.
Game over, Flip. Government is going to have to own our banking systems for a while, never a good thing. That is the part of the road to Socialism. |
Re: This will definetly help our economy
But if nobody pays in then how are all the red states going to get money? Since they by far get more money back from the federal government than they pay in, except for Texas that pays in slightly less than it gets back. Most of the red states are sucking on the teet of federal tax welfare and pork.
