here's my little project
8 Attachment(s)
well I guess I've been working on this thing long enough to share a little bit with all of you. when I bought it it was bone stock. I've done lot's of maitenence like everyone else. but as for mods lets see I'm running a bullseye power t04b vtrim turbo, ported o2 housing, 3in turbo back exhaust, fmic with 2.5in piping, gm 3in mass airflow sensor, maf-t, 2g throttle body elbow, walbro 255lph fuel pump, aeromotive fpr, 650cc injectors, safc2, stage4 clutch (it was cheaper than the stage 2), fidanza aluminum flywheel, and ksport coilover kit. I think that is most of it for the mods

now here is what I've been working on at school the last week. I had the head rebuilt ported and polished, bc 272 cams, and an fp cast race manifold. a cometic head gasket and arp head studs will be going in as well. I've never been able to get this thing to run quite right but when we were taking it apart the timing on the intake cam was a little bit off and there was a ton of carbon build up on the pistons

Re: here's my little project
Looking nice man. I'm running the same turbo also but it's a M trim not a V trim. I'm lovin the turbo so far but i have little shaft play now, so I'm looking forward for a new turbo during spring time. Keep up the great work.

well here are some more pics and an update. we got it back together last thursday but we started it up and oil was pissing out the side by the cams. turns out the head shop didn't put cams seals in when they put the cams in and we made the mistake of not catching it before we put it together. but cam seals are going in on monday and then it should be back on the road

hopefully I'll be pulling her out of the shop tomorrow. cross your fingers
|
Re: here's my little project
well it's been a little while since I've given an update and am kinda bored so here it is. back in november when I was doing the head well we got it all back together and started her up and then we see it's pissing oil out the side of the head. so were like what the hell. the head shop didn't put cam seals in it and our smart selves didn't catch it. I guess you gotta learn somehow. well now she's mint

Re: here's my little project
I'm on my next mods I upgraded the 650cc injectors to 950s I just have to put them in. I got rid of the tuboxs bov and picked up a greddy type rs and ordered a flange. I got rid of the safc and ordered the new dsmlink. I'm still waiting to get the parts to come in so right now the talon is not moving again! but now i should hopefully be able to get it running good
|
Re: here's my little project
Good to hear things are going well for you.. Keep up the good work!
|
Re: here's my little project
Sounds like a fun little project you have there. Sticking with pump gas or going to e85?
|
Re: here's my little project

for right now I think I'm just gona stick with pump gas |
Re: here's my little project
well I just picked up my dsmlink from map today!! It's time to start putting her back together. I already got my 950's in and am having my bov flange welded on monday. so just a few other minor things she should be back on the road and to start tuning. I can't wait
|
Re: here's my little project
well I got her running again the greddy bov is in and so is link. but I'm can't seem to get my wideband to log in link. I think I need one of those buffers from them. I was just gona use the wideband and simulate the narrow band with link but since I'm having problems with my wideband the stock o2 is going back in and i'm just going to have another bung welded in for the wideband.

Re: here's my little project
What kind of WB are you running? Where do you have it running on the ecu?
|
Re: here's my little project
I have a plx sm-afr and a dm-5 gauge. I've tried the egr temp, the IAT, and I have it in the baro right now
