What the fuck is the problem with just leaving my shit alone. It's against the law anyway. She has done this several times over the last few years and it has to stop.

I hate to be mean sounding to my mom, but I gotta tell her to never open my mail again.


Anyone else have problems like this?

(btw, it wouldn't be a problem if I had my own place, but I have no fucking job to make money to move out, so I'm fucked.)

mine does that too. i dont live at home but i kept my mailing adress there since i might be moving soon and didnt want to change everything around. i hate that. se yells at me when i have missed payments and shit. like she's never done that.

Funny. I just yelled at my mom for opening my mail yesterday. I told her my shit was my shit. And my bank account is none of her business.... she says she doesn't do it......... who does then, not my dad who isn't home at the time of mail delivery. Ugh.

I dont think I get really anything mailed to me anymore these days. Everything can be done online- bills, banking, etc.

my mom did it when i was younger and living at home. I didnt feel the need to post online about it. It was just because she wanted to make sure i wasnt screwing up my life or something. If i had something to hide like grades or some shit i just made a point to get up off my lazy ass and get the mail before she had a chance to.
I wouldnt get too worked up about it. If you really are annoyed with it, just tell her nicely that you would like her to not open your mail. Im sure there is a reason for it, whether she is concerned about you or just nosey. If you have no job then there really shoudlnt be a reason you cant intercept the mail.

I hear where you're coming from. I don't have anything to hide, but I just find it offensive. Two words for you though, paperless billing. Both my parents would just randomly open my mail and their excuse would be, "oh, I thought it was my bill" ??? It has my name on it! If you're going to lie about it at least make up something that makes sense, geez. Anyway, I just made everything I could paperless in the billing options.

Honestly, I don't see it as that big of a deal anyways. My rents will open my mail sometimes, but usually all I get is bank statements n stuff. If I were you I'd just get a subscription to playboy or something and then watch em open that.

It's a great major if you want to continue college. If you want a job, it's difficult cause you can't "plug right in" like you might be able to with a finance or mathematics or IT degree.
