Deathwish 750

Here are some pics of my new motorcycle. I've never owned one, but I have rode friends bikes. This thing scares the living shit outta me... and I love it.

Yea hardly any scratches, lucky. Looks really good though, I'd be freaked out with a 750 too.

Re: Deathwish 750

That should be a good bike to learn on, just make sure the suspension isn't worn out. The Kawi's back then were quite stable and made pretty linear power. The longer wheel base makes them more difficult at low speeds, as you found out :P It looks nice and clean!

Plus if you where a helmet the state trooper doesn't have to touch your brain when he picks it up after a crash - lol

Damn, even for a 11 yr old bike that doesn't look too bad. Bikes are fun, I bet you feel pretty bad ass now.

Build one of these http://youtube.com/watch?v=bJK92LihhAk

Good job on the blurring of the license plates.

andy - give me a few more days to get more aquainted with the bike. maybe we can go for a ride this weekend!

hahahaha! yeah you'll have that. Nice bike by the way. When I moved up to the cities I really thought about getting one badly. However, with my thing for speed I guess I dont just trust myself to drive the speed limit and the fact there is nothing in between you and the pavement ;)

Wow, that thing is clean for an 11 year old bike! Very nice! It's good you already know to wear a helmet, but proper gear works wonders as well. One more thing, get some frame sliders and those low speed drops will be alot easier on the wallet and mind. We should definatly have a Mitsustyle ride sometime, that would be awesome! Ride safe.

you ride safe too!

mark mentioned to me that you had bought frame sliders (frame savers, thats what i thought they were called) and i was going to ask where you got them. after yesterday, i think i need some. me + bike + drop = :punch:

It's not a helmet. It's a brain bucket. Always wear it, never use it.

Re: Deathwish 750

Nice bike. Im jealous! I've been wanting another bike since my bro sold our last one, but no money this summer. Hopefully next summer I'll have one to ride with you guys.
Be glad your first drop wasnt as bad as my buddy; too much gas, not enough clutch control, then pop goes the front end and down goes everything. Later on his brother drops it hard like 3x. He managed to break the footbrake pedal and turn the handle bar way off center in one fall. Bike value dropped 50% in 3hours, lol.
I think confidence is a major key factor. Keep it up and ride safe. I'll be waiting til next summer :)

Ebay is your friend. You can find prettymuch anything you could need for your bike there. That's where I got mine.

cool, ill check it out. i've browsed, but i havent found too much on there for my bike. i need to figure out what exact words to search for.

well an update today... went riding with a friend from the shop. stayed along side him most of the time (only fell behind when he was doing 1000ft wheelies LOL.. damn stunters).

today i only stalled the bike once at a stop light. not enough throttle, let the clutch in too much. some jackass in an SUV behind me honked, and i mean honked, at me. laid on the button for a good 5 seconds. right after i restarted the bike, i turned around, put one finger up to my mouth (through my helmet) and made the "shhhh" universal signal :D

ive gotten really comfortable with shifting, which was one of my biggest worries. tight turning is still a little shaky, but im feeling better on the bike day by day. :)

Re: Deathwish 750

Basically the best thing you could use as search keywords would be 97 ZX750, and see what comes up. I'm glad to hear you're getting more comfortable on it :) Take it slow and things will start to feel more natural.
