New looks...
 

So I was bored today and was thinking about doing this for a while since the black grilles got scratched after a snowy and sandy day on the freeway, after removing like 40 metal screws, 3 nuts and 20 plastic screws this is the result ( might be shocking):

I'm tryng to get "racing colors" with the matching wheels and numbers. I'm still undecided , H\have to wait until I see it at the track, I might take a picture before with the "racing Set up"

For sure you guys are nicer than the ones on Evolutionm.
anyways , what I 'm trying to achieve is to get a design on my car for the track, combining the wheels and magnets.

Look at the evos in the robispec website (costumers photos), they have two nice red silver and black combinations. Looks different at the beginning, we'll see. Although after being flamed on evolutionm I looked ath the car in person, the red doesn' stand out like the pictures is more subtle, I thing. You'll get a chance to see it

You miss the whole idea , a race car is where I'm going for, is going to take a while. we'll see. In the mean time look at the Robispec costumer's car link and give me some ideas based on what you've seen on my car (wheels ,mesh, magnets) , I know I can trust you

I know where you're trying to go, but you race your street car. Until it's gutted and has a cage, it's still a street car. :)

I looked at Robispec's customer cars and didn't see any painted mesh, just orange painted wheels. *shrug*

it's different. if you are going red like that....play around with the Red alot more. not just the grill but with the exterior paint itself. i like it, but it'd look alot more aggressive with a some exterior body work...(wide fenders)

You'r right , I need inputs like this because that's where I'm going, some racing car I've seen even have red mirrors and other body parts painyed, no lowered with my racing wheels should look better:

Not my cup of tea, but if you like it then that's what matters! I would say that you should maybe keep a close eye on it because rocks might start chipping away at some of it, which I think would make it look real tacky. So maybe make sure and keep a bunch of spare paint to cover up any chips you might get.

I have to see it in person Andres...to give you my real opinion. I'm not sure it will work even with a "race" theme. I understand what you are going for so I'll give you a little leeway on this one.

IMO it would be way cooler if you had a few Colombian flag vinyls to put on the car...maybe two large ones on either side of the car kind of sideways surrounded by various company vinyls like Robispec, Enkie, Hoosier, etc. Definitely put on a windshield vinyl. Add canards and the small racing mirrors.

Then, when all is said and done I can create my own magnet of the Colombian flag with a big X through it for our autoX events!:)

I think silver or something more subtle would have been cool, but the red seems too much IMHO.

My plan is for next year to change classes to STU in Autocross, once the car is droped, with some mor engine mods , I would like to start taking it to Brainard

I see your point although, I came back home today after a hard day of criticism and it looks more subtle in person, the question now is how to finish what I started , I mean with the rest of the car.. It will be a while maybe I should vave done this later in the year. oh well At least you guys don't have to look at it every day, I still like , i need to learn Photoshop to come up with the next level. I also put the racing wheels on and took some pictures with and without the magnetic numbers, definetly the yellow has to disapear, , pictures didn't look good without flash and the afternoon sun light, I might to try a earlier time.

So what does bright read mesh grills have to do with a race car? Does it make it go faster? Does bright red retract sunlight to keep the intercooler colder? Wouldn't a race car have that $5 in paint spend on something that involves racing? I guess it's all in a persons opinion of what is a race car. That's a totally different thread though and I don't feel like starting it.

In complete honesty, I feel you are going for the fast and furious sorta race car look, and that's totally fine if that's your thing, but even if it matched a bunch of other stuff on the car, it doesn't do much for me.
